Pair Of Antique Victorian Louis XV Carved Walnut / Mahogany French Chairs
Both chairs are in nice shape for their age. They are upholstered in what feels like a silk like material and the bones are still strong and not wobbly. Wood has nicely detailed carvings throughout. I'm not sure if it is walnut or mahogany. But you can zoom in with the pictures and see for yourself. Nail studded trim work throughout the entire piece, even under the seat cushion. The upholstery may need a little minor cleaning on the arms, and there is minor wear on the wood, but since the chairs are obviously carved the minor wear gives them character and really goes unnoticed when looking at them overall. FINE ANTIQUE WALNUT PEGGED CONSTRUCTION PHILADELPHIA CHIPPENDALE STYLE LOWBOY ON BALL& CLAW FEET Size: 34" wide. 29" high, 21" deep. Appears to be walnut and yellow pine. Approx 1840's-1860's is my best guess. Wonderful piece with a unique, deeply carved central medallion over a shell form drop. Shell carved knees to go with the finely formed ball and claw feet. All knee returns present, small drawer front molding missing over the front right drawer as seen. Some minor trim moldings missing. Hand chamfered drawers, square or rose head nails, hand pegged form, beveled molding edge, hand cut dovetails, fluted pilasters and a great mellow surface make this a very handsome piece of American furniture. Offered is an Antique Walnut Multi Level Deep Frame. There is an embossed gold edge next to the picture with a narrow black trim with a wide walnut edge and then another black edge with a round walnut top to the frame. It is 2 7/8 inches deep and the exterior measurement is 12" x 14" and the glass covered inside measurement is 7 1/2 x 9 1/2. There is a wood back to the frame. ANTIQUE LATE 1800s WALNUT VICTORIAN DRESSER WITH GLOVE BOXES, MIRROR,AND MARBLE
Be sure to add me to your! This ANTIQUE LATE 1800's VICTORIAN DRESSSER is made from solid walnut and has been refinished. It has three large drawers with a fancy skirt around the bottom on four legs with rollers. Which roll very well. On top of this are two glove boxes on each side separated by white marble. The back holds the elegant curved and bevelled mirror housed in a walnut curved frame with applied wood decoration and a special decoration extending several inches above the top of the mirror frame. There are four original leaf carved handles which are not on the piece. The buyer would have the choice of putting on handles of his choice or matching the original handles with two more. As refinished this piece is in excellent condition except for the missing two original handles. The three drawers are 36 inches wide; it is 37 inches ... morefrom floor to marble. We have managed to obtain a limited quantity of very highly concentrated spirit soluble wood dye powder. That is used in the manufacture of commercial sold spirit wood dyes and is also used to colour wax polish, Shellac, French Polish etc. You can make your own spirit wood dye that are every bit as good as branded products for a fraction of the cost. This elegant burl walnut antique ... moredouble-door carved wardrobe dates from the 1920s or 1930s. This exquisite model features Queen Anne Chippendale pad feet on the base. A little carved crest on top, picture frame molding on both doors, and carved leaves on the corners. The carvings are made of Bakelite or celluloid, one of the items they started using during the period over in England. This wardrobe comes with a key, and the original hardware is all intact. There is a molded dome top, 45-degree angle beveled corners, and when the doors are opened a completely open storage space is exposed, with just a hatbox area on the side. Two hanging rods offer plenty of storage on the inside, which measures 20 inches deep, and 65 inches tall. The outside dimensions are 50 inches wide, 23 inches deep and 80 inches to the top of the carved crest. All this is finished in a medium amber color. Since then. The wood has developed a lovely patina, which enriches the distinct walnut grain and deep, rich complexion. Paneled doors, carved trimming and turned feet form an elegant appeal that contributes to the antique charm of this walnut ... morebookcase armoire. Inside are four shelves and three drawers, each of which feature hand-cut dovetailed joints. While quite attractive and fully functional, this bookcase armoire has sustained some wear and wobbles as a result. Also, there are some repairs on the face of the piece, the locks do not function, and one of the back feet is metal(pictured below) Nevertheless, this gorgeous antique walnut bookcase armoire will continue to look beautiful and function for years to come! I first met O.J. Simpson and Kareem Abdul Jabbar at an open house of a residential property I owned in Bel Air. At that time, the Peter Frampton was renting the home. I didn’t become close to O.J. until we happened to reconnect at a party for the Los Angeles Clippers hosted by Donald Sterling. We exchanged phone numbers ... moreand arranged to play tennis at his home. O.J. had informal gatherings that took place at his home practically every weekend. It would be a veritable who’s who of movie stars and sports celebrities. It would draw huge crowds but the atmosphere was very friendly and easy going. The smell of BBQ would waft through the air while we would play tennis with O.J. Ahmad Rashad and Lynn Swann would be waiting their turn to dethrone the winner along with a host of memorable others. As you would think. Bikini clad beauties roamed around the pool while everyone laughed and had a great time. Nicole Simpson was a gracious hostess that always kept the good times rolling. My wife to be and Nicole soon became the best of friends. At that time O.J. was a cool, affable guy who always owned the room. He really was larger than life. In 1980 O.J. and Nicole decided to move their home on Rockingham. I sent a crew to redo his floors. He and Nicole wanted an extravagant bed set for their boudoir. I knew exactly which bed he had to have. I had just acquired a beautiful antique massive heavily carved canopy bed from an 18th C. manor in England. I showed them the set and they instantly fell in love with it.
