It is made in most beautiful Walnut and Ebony combination tastefully fused together, with all original highest quality gilt hardware featuring swans, sea shells and flowers. The piece has in total 12 drawers, better 4 sets of three drawers, 6 on the outside and 6 on the inside. Top is ebonized sitting over the top of 3 side by side drawers. Below is a quarter cylinder desk door, a"lid" or as referred to- a roll top. Rolling up the lid reveals matching classical interior, with columns as a frame for open middle, flanked by three fully functional drawers on each side, one over the other. The writting area in the middle slides out once the top is rolled up, as the ... moredesk has no knee hole. Bottom piece has three drawers one over the other, with the top one having a designed overhang, which makes the drawer supported by the two ebony columns which flank the drawers. To describe the bottom alone, consider it as an extra large 3 drawer dresser or commode. The very bottom is beautifully finished off with feet which are at the same time supports or bases for the columns above. Bottoms of the feet are finished off with stylistically great ebony moldings. The desk comes in two pieces for easier moving, the 3 drawer bottom and the cylinder top. Palatial would be the best way to describe the size, it stands 52.5" tall, and depth is 25.75" 82"wide To add. Rare and unique. I took the chairs apart so that you can see the construction of them. I see that the joints have the mortise and tenon construction. The old hardware or nails are on the base that holds up the cushion only. Notice the nicely carved wood that has a side profile of either a warrior or a knight. The arms of the chairs are unique and rare. Very comfortable chairs. No sagging. The cushions are in g ood condition. No stains, no rips, no odor. The trim has thinned out in a few areas. Each chair is carefully carved with an urn form pierced splat, incredibly detailed in the likeness of a harp over pillars. Two of the chairs have stunning carved molded frames, two have slightly more plain molded frames. Chairs are fully pegged construction, several with tenon mortised frames locked together with small pegs. The aprons are nicely outlined. The front legs reach through the top of the seat, uniquely showing above the upholstery before tapering into the leg. Each leg is carved, though legs bare minor variation between ... moreseveral in the carvings. An H-form stretcher locks the legs firmly in place. For the collector willing to do some restoration work. This set is a rare aquisition in wonderful form. A deep oxidization covers the entire set, with a glowing patina throughout. Antique walnut and bone miniature roll top cabinet with three graduating drawers and a door. It stands 11" high. 7" deep, and 9" wide. Under the roll top there are six small cubby holes and a ledge for a pen or pencil. The three dovetailed drawers have bone knobs. On the door is a bone cross and a bone keyhole. There is a lock, but no key. It has four brass decorated ball feet. A very unusual miniature cabinet. This would be great for dolls. The top cubby holes have been papered in the past.

Chairs have palmette and cyma curve elements along with inlaid marquetry, gold gilding, and black lacquering or possibly ebony inlay.Gilding on all 4 chairs is intact and eye catching. All four chairs are raised on hairy paw feet with brass castors. Chairs have horizontal front leg supports again with drop palmette elements and palmettes elsewhere on the chairs consistent with NeoGrec Victorian substyle design. 2 chairs have large, elaborate crests with marquetry and carving. Some loss to the marquetry in various places and the finial palmette on the larger of the arm chairs has its top missing. All original finish with just some polishing necessary. Here is a VERY beautiful and RARE Ansonia walnut kitchen clock is 100% all original condition. This is no doubt a real treasure; it was made circa late 1880’s to the early 1890’s because clock companies stopped using walnut in 1900. The wood is in fantastic shape with the ORIGINAL finish which is in very good condition except for a few minor chips and scratches(or beauty marks as we like to call them. It has its original WAVY glass tablet with the original silver decal which is in OUTSTANDING condition! It strikes the hours and half hours on a beautiful sounding original gong. It also has an alarm feature but the actuating arm is broken off(it will be included) The movement was just cleaned. Oiled, pivots polished, and bushings added where needed. The alarm movement was also cleaned, oiled, and polished to a brilliant shine. This clock will ... morenot need servicing for the next 100 years. If you properly maintain the clock(having it cleaned and oiled every 10-15 years) it will easily last longer. We recommend having it serviced every 10-15 years to keep it working top notch and with clock makers charging 200 dollars and up, it’s a good idea. The clock runs very well and keeps very good time. The clock has its original pendulum and its ORIGINAL Ansonia key! Very rare for a clock of this age to retain its original key. The clock has its original dial pan with a proper replacement paper time track. It is not uncommon for these clocks to have replacement paper dials as the originals are usually damaged by too much sun exposure. Finger oil form touching it, poor attempts to clean dirt off etc. This clock will come with a set of directions on how to properly set up the clock and keep it running well. Antique Twin Bed, Walnut Mahogany w/newer poplar extra long rails
For sale is a beautiful traditional style antique twin bed with classic turned posts and two shades of wood on the headboard and footboard. It may be a combination of walnut and mahogany or two shades of the same wood. I refinished it many years ago and applied two or more coats of Formby's low gloss tung oil to give it a nice satin finish. The side rails were made when the bed was restored in extra long(80 inches) to accomodate a tall son. But could be shortened. They are of poplar and stained to match the bed. The condition is very good for an old bed. There is a crack about one third across the footboard panel(shown in pic. 6) and a portion of the ball finial on the post on that side of the footboard is missing(pic 7) They are not great detractions from the bed overall. The original rails were probably sleigh bed style and there is ... morea cut out in each post above where the rails attach that was probably to accomodate this design. See pic 11.
