It is in ... morereally nice condition. I am assuming that it was finished a long time ago as the finish is dull/worn down and mellow looking. A couple of coats of lacquer could be added to give it a more vibrant look if desired, but I personally like the mellow finish. The dresser has white and gray grained round corner marble top with the insert in the center, raised burl panels on the drawers, big circular buttons on the middle of the large drawers, Victorian tear drop pulls, candle shelves on the mirror, applied carvings, burl panels and a beautifully carved fancy crest. It has the original old mirror showing minor silver wear.

Made in England Circa 1940 Walnut Vertical tambour doors 36 total drawers Roller latches Small spot of damage to left door Minor wear Very sturdy, This very unique antique file or sheet music cabinet was made in England around 1940 and is a gorgeous walnut wood. The three vertically rolling tambour doors are the focal point of this cabinet. The originally had locks which held the doors up when closed. However those locks have been replaced with roller latches that are quite secure and require no key. Each tambour door houses a column of twelve open ... moreface drawers that slide in and out on wooden runners. Each drawer is about 15" wide. The top of this file cabinet is decorated with geometric and floral carvings which look beautiful. The paneled sides are clean and the brass hardware blends well with the walnut wood. There is one small spot of damage on the very left tambour door around the middle(see picture) and the entire piece has very minor cosmetic wear as you would expect from a piece of this age. Overall though, this cabinet is very sturdy and in very good condition. It is a unique piece that would make a wonderful addition to any home and can be used in a variety of ways. Antique file or sheet music cabinet in walnut. All three doors slide up and down easily and each column has twelve open face drawers. The drawers run on wooden runners. The brass hardware blends well with the walnut wood. The locks were replaced with roller latches. The top is adorned with this beautiful carving. The top also has nice moulding above the carving. This is a very nice 3 door wardrobe circa 1900. Made in France or Possibly Italy as a lot of there furniture were very similar. The condition is very good. Its pollard oak and walnut with satinwood marquetry inlay to each door to the side, as well as rosewood inlay. At some time to the back has had wood worm. It looks treated, but we have also treated it as well. lt comes in several part so its easy to transport. To the base it has brass feet and also to the top brass cups. The center has a drawer to the base. The the rest is all hanging space as well as the sides. The mirror is the original one which shows some specks with age. Measurements are 76 wide.83 high, 24 deep. We have the 3 keys for each door.

Offered for bids is an early 19th century Sheraton chest of drawers measuring 42 ½” high& 40” wide. Top measures 40 ½” wide& is 19 ¾“ deep with an appropriate rear over hang. Four graduated drawers with matching flame veneered fronts. I suspect this might be walnut but may also be a brown mahogany. Bought out of Reading PA. All drawers are dovetailed& beaded. The drawers runners are worn but run smoothly. There is some small chipping to the beading. One of the balls of the right front foot has a chip. Retains its locks. Brasses are replacements. Evidence of other pulls. The chest has been refinished at least once. There are some cross grain scratches on the sides from previous stripping. And we’ve re-sprayed the top to remove all the little surface scratches and make this piece look outstanding. It features carved skirts all around. When the little top is flipped up, it reveals a silver plaque that reads: Presented to so-and-so on his retirement after 42 years of legal service, then the name of the company that gave him the bar. When the front cover is pulled down, it exposes a mirrored liner where the olives and such are cut, and the inside is all mirrored. There are even little rooster hors d'oeuvres picks in the racks on both sides. There is a light, but since it comes from England, it must be rewired to U.S. standards to be safe. It comes with both keys. The bottom cabinet opens up and has a shelf section on the right-hand side and a tall section for the extra-tall bottles of spirits on the left-hand side. In its original medium amber color, it’s in really nice condition. The overall size is 35 inches at the widest point, 17 inches at the deepest point, and 46 inches high. These beautiful chairs were originally made to grace the front hallways of ancient manors and castles and were intended for the footman so he did not get to comfortable and fall asleep! This fine example is from the middle to the last half of the 19th century and stands 44" tall x 13 1/2" wide. The seat height is 21 1/2' tall x 12 1/2' deep and 12' wide. It is skillfully carved with a crest, cherubs and scrolls. I believe the wood to be Walnut but it is hard tell because of the dark patina. A great antique Renaissance 18th century Walnut Cassone( Cassonne) or a storage trunk(as in American Blanket Chest) This piece is of great quality, crisp carvings, gorgeous hairy Italian carved paw feet. The piece is of rock solid construction, heavy and massive- just the way these babies are suppose to be. Top lifts up, connected with 2 hinges, on the underside of the lid and on the outside of the back of the bottom. Hinges are 100% original to the piece, made of the hamerred iron, very early(18th C) Condition is good, corners chewed as is the case with just about all of these, but all else tip top. Size is large 56.5" wide, 23.25" tall and 21.5" deep. It is hard enough to find one like this from 19th C, and here you have an 18th century example for no money- bargain! This oversized piece is extremely high quality, and remains in great condition. This piece features a full-length bevel glass mirror in the center door. Three hand-cut dovetail drawers on the bottom of the piece, and triple door access. This piece also has a beautiful cross-grain mahogany veneer with burl panel highlights. The bronze finished brass ormolu embellishment is completely intact. And the crest is crown molded with a brass cut out center. The two outside serpentine doors retain their original brass Victorian style hardware and mirror the two outside doors. Which are also in the serpentine fashion. The extra large wardrobe measures 74” wide. 106” tall, and 24” deep on the outside. Penn Antique Restoration. 32"x 79" Antique Exterior Birch Walnut Cypress Door w/ 2 Recessed Panels. Lovely. Antique, exterior door salvaged from a historic home in Minnesota. The door has a solid cypress core with 3/16" birch or walnut veneers and has 2 recessed panels. If your not familiar with cypress. It is a softwood, but its quite durable and rot-resistant. It is very popular in the south because it can stand up to the high humidity. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. The veneer on this door is 3/16" thick and provides strength and stability to the door. Hardware: The door is currently not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door(check out our eBay store) If ... moreyou would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood.see"Modification" below. Condition: On the exterior. There is a crack on the top of the hinge stile. Veneer is chipped on the top rail. Both of the panels are warped, but only on the exterior. Otherwise. This door is in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes-minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. Quirks& Considerations: There is a gap approx. 1/8" between the top rail and hinge stile. The hinge stile is cut approx. 1/4" shorter then the complete top of the door. There are strips of wood added to each side of the door to add a total of 2 1/2" to the width. The door's height was unevenly cut by 1/4" at some point. Up for bid is this circa 1890's ANTIQUE HAND CARVED WOODEN WALNUT ON LEAF INKWELL. Measuring 4 1/2" long; 2" tall; 2 1/2" wide, figural in the shape of a walnut lying on a leaf, beautifully carved in great authentic detail, I don't know the kind of wood, but it has a wonderful grain. Original hinge that works perfectly. No glass insert. There are 2 drill holes on the top and bottom of the walnut, but other similar wooden inkwell have the same drill holes. There are 2 chips of wood missing on the side(1/2" and front(3/4" of the leaf.please refer to picture#3 before you bid and some ink stains to inside of walnut. This is a Pennsylvania Dutch make attributed to three factors. Jonestaun is a dialect of South Germany. Sinckle, an uncommon name and spelling, comes up in the census of Philadelphia 1785, and finally it was purchased in Lancaster, PA) Our best guess it is from mid 19th century, but could be earlier. The base. Trunk, and hood are all in excellent original condition. The hood features the broken swan neck style on top with a brass rosette. Deep colors are prominent on the face with a bird and floral design on each corner. The back is one long piece of wood. The works unfortunately have been tampered with over the years. First, it is spring driven, which we have never seen in ... morea tall case. Secondly, it is not sitting on the saddle board but is attached to the back by a newer piece of wood. My best assumption is that this is"married" Listing with a low starting bid and no reserve due to the fact it is in non-working condition and we question the authenticity of the works. ~BEAUTIFUL~ ~1868~ Antique Victorian Walnut Carpet Folding Chair"Civil War Era" Here we have an antique hand carved walnut carpet folding chair accented with an elegant scroll pediment top backing. The pediment does have one little round knob missing(see picture) It broke off years and years ago. Still looks beautiful and I don't think it's really noticable. The seat. Back and arms are covered with a gorgeous detailed woven carpet(all original) like material which is directly nailed to the frame. All original nails and is still sturdy(see pictures) I wouldn't make this an everyday chair to sit in. I have had it for years and it has always been used as an accent in my livingroom. Each arm rest does have a turn knob on the side(see picture) to make them go up or down. It's quite unique! The chair is still all in tack ... moreand sturdy with no breaks(besides small round decorative knob on top of scroll pediment) The wood does show age with scrapes and marks here and there which is expected for almost 150 years old. You can restore this item or leave as is, if you like that original antique look. The material on the chair is a red/burgundy with black, brown and a mustard color. The material is not in perfect condition but it's still all together.beautiful(see pictures) This chair folds up and reopens with no problem. This piece of antique furniture is stunning and I'm having a hard time parting from it. I must start letting some of my items go due to over collecting: LOL! There is still an original paper label under the seat(see picture) reading. E.W. Vail, Patentee and Manufactured, Worcester, Mass. Petented Oct 6, 1868, reissued Dec 2, 1873.
