A very appealing large sized wheel barometer. With a burr walnut case, inlaid with ebony and box wood stringing. Dates from abouy 1890-1900. Lovely thick. This item is in excellent condition with no missing or broken parts. It is made from solid walnut and is trimmed in ebony. It has beautiful incised cravings and open work. Which was so typical of this era. Antique Carved Walnut Mahogany 3 Door Louis XV Armoire Wardrobe Mirrored Doors
Impressive Louis XV mahogany armoire or wardrobe. This large piece has tons of storage space behind its three doors. Mirrors with bevelled edges and ornately carved wooden panels give this piece an amazing decorative look. A gracefully curved top is capped by an intricately carved finial. Skirted fronts and short cabriole legs lift it off the ground and keep the armoire from feeling heavy despite its size. This piece can be dismantled for moving. Overall. The armoire is in good condition. The two side mirrors have some noticable silver loss. Example pictured. There are also some small dents and dings to the wood. One escutcheon is probably not original to the piece and the other two are missing. The entire piece stands about 103" 8'9" tall. It is about 84" 7' wide and 22 inches deep. This is a beautiful Chippendale style ball and claw foot walnut china cabinet with carved cabriole legs that dates from the 1920’s-1930’s ... moreera. A nice. Quality piece that has a large molded curved front, dovetail drawer, sidelights in the front with a curved glass door with walnut grillwork on the sidelights, glass side panels, and three shelves with plate grooves. It has a wonderful detailed carved crest on top. There is a small pressure crack on the veneer face on the left hand side of the crest that we can detail out a bit so it’s not visible. The closet stands upon four ball and claw feet on the front and two ball and claw feet in the back. The overall size is 48 inches wide, 15 inches deep, and 72 inches to the top of the crest. It’s finished in a dark walnut stain and all we’ve done is oil it up and it looks really nice, showing just a little bit of finish loss on the back trim work of the glass panel on the left hand side, where it was probably sitting near a window. Other than that, this cabinet is in outstanding condition. Notice the triple clamshell carvings on the base, and bulbous skirts applied. Description This is a nice mantel that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It is made of walnut and is currently painted. The face of the shelf is fluted and supported by 4 Eastlake brackets. There are spindles between the pair of brackets supported by another turned spindle with a carved bracket below. The legs and breast are loaded with spoon carvings. It measures 53 inches wide by 47 inches tall and is 10 inches deep at the shelf. The opening is 29 wide by 35 inches tall. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. One foot was missing but we duplicated it in antique walnut. The chest retains a fine old finish, probably original. The hardware is original. The drawer in the frame has been rebuilt, the bottom and the sides have been replaced. Bi-level marble top dresser with original ½” plate glass mirror, and three-drawer marble top commode with basin compartment. This set is offered here in its original finish and generously decorated with carved floral patterns and finials. The unusual nickel-plated ball joint pulls are original to this set, but the four pull knobs on the dresser are not. Both the dresser and commode have the original castors. The headboard of the bed stands 86” tall while the foot measures 31 ½” tall. This bed frame accommodates a full size mattress/box spring(54” x 76” The dresser and commode are quite beautiful.
