Description This exceptional solid.830 grade silver tea caddy was made in Sweden and it measures 3 1/2" tall. 3" wide, 2 1/8" deep. The caddy is oval in shape and has a matching oval lid. The sides and the lid top are decorated with repousse Swedish country scenes surrounded by patterning and roses. The scene, which is the same on both sides, depicts a house, a barn and a windmill with a man smoking a pipe and a woman in a rowboat. The lid features an interior scene with people at a table drinking from mugs. The piece is marked with the 3 crown national mark. The silver standard mark, a town mark and"830" for the grade of silver. No year marks or maker's marks that I can find. Antique Early 19th Century Wood Tea Caddy Box
This is an antique early 19th century wood tea caddy box. It dates circa 1820s to 1830s. It measures 7 1/4 inches wide(18.4 cm) by 4 1/8 inches deep(10.5 cm) It is 4 7/8 inches tall(12.4 cm) There is an inlaid wood going around all the edges. The wood grain is very rich looking. The patina is just lovely. It has its original hinges and screws and lock. It closes perfectly. There is a diamond shaped key escutcheon; however. The key has gone missing. The lining is missing. But the divider is there. The two cover lids are missing. The inside of the lid has a red leather-like paper. There is a shrinkage line going across the front of the box. The top has many very thin wavy shrinkage lines also. But they don't stand out at all. They just add wonderful character. The wood on the bottom is cracking. But it's very sturdy. In fact. Antique c1880 Chinese pewter and brass heavy tea caddy
Here is an antique Chinese tea caddy in a pewter and brass trim. It measures 3 7/7 inches tall and is very heavy and so so beautiful. The base shows its age very nicely with the wear you want to see. The body and top are in great condition with only a few dings and one spot where the brass lifted a little. The lid has three rams heads with what look like bat wings behind them. This is a must for a tea caddy collector.

The elegant looking jars are bulbous shaped with a deep brick red background done in a fish scale wire work design. The lid of the jars is done with a single flower in light blue with cobalt center and dark blue around the outside. Around the top of the jar is the Chinese Imperial symbol. Ruyie border done in cobalt, dark and light blue. These colors are also found around the bottom of each jar in a feather type motif. The inside and base are done in a turquoise blue enamel. The jars are enamel on brass, both have the original Made in China label with the No 4238 as shown. These fine estate jars are believed to date circa 1920. CONDITION- The jars are in very fine. Antique QING Dy-1600-1700 A.D. SHIPWRECK RECOVERED TEA CADDY & Lid,10cm x 10cm.
An exceptional. Antique Qing Dynasty SHIPWRECK RELIC, from a trading junk that has sunk in the South Asian Oceans somewhere in the 1600's or 1700's. There are easily visible undersea encrustations all around, and red coral or similar remnants attached to the base, the glaze has lost much of its lustre as is normal with a shipwreck found porcelain, although I still have a few plates that have an excellent shine to the glaze. This is either a Tea Caddy or a Ginger Jar, painted with exceptional Peony Flowers and vines, it has glaze/manufacturers faults to the lid in two places(these are not cracks but faults) recovered in the mid 1900's but not from one of the more well known wrecks of the South China Seas and around other coasts of South Asia. It was purchased at an Asian Arts Auction in Sydney some time ago, is not an officially ... morerecorded piece but was found many years before the changes in the regulations regarding shipwreck finds. This is a very scarce piece with both the lid and base intact with exceptional detail.

Has a Crane/Egret Bird that is on all 4 sides that is a Raised paint design. The top is scrolled with Oxblood color paint. On the pole of the lamp it has a Brass piece that has a Beautiful raised design of scrolling and flowers. It is marked. But was drilled thru when they made it into the lamp. A Carved Red wood base that is also marked China on the base. I have added a Silk Cherry Blossom shade that I think looks Wonderful with this Lamp. Measures aprox 23" tall with the shade. The shade is 8" diameter, the caddy itself measures 7 1/2" tall with top, 5" wide and 4 1/2" depth. In Great Vintage Working condition. Absent it's pewter liner, retaining it's lock, measuring 8" long x 5 1/2" wide x 5" tall, with minor losses on some edges and 2 larger losses on bottom edge at 2 different corners. Antique English silver Tea Caddy George III 1804 H& H Sheffield This is a lovely 18th Century silver tea oblong shape caddy. It is a beautiful and elegant piece in very fine condition. Centuries of use and polishing have worn away the detail of the engraving giving it that lovely patina of a well used piece handed down from generation to generation. It is decorated with floral swag. Domed lid with oblong finial. We do not find any dents or dings. It has touch marks that indicate it was made in 1804. The caddy has George III silver marks from the Sheffield Assay Office. We believe the Makers mark is H H which is Harrison Bros. and Howson. The overall height including the cover and finial is 4 1/2 inches. The height of just the main vessel of the caddy is 3 1/4 inches. The width is 4 1/2 inches and the depth is 3 1/2 inches. The weight ... moreis 12.1 ounces. The hinge has no repairs or damage and it closes the cover securely without any warping or imbalance. The caddy sits firmly on a level surface and does not have any balance issues. We do not have the key. There is a monogram which we cannot determine. Beautiful Antique Hardwood Tea Caddy Box
Absolutely beautiful antique tea caddy. Skillfully crafted of hardwood with mother of pearl detail on the top and mother of pearl key hole accent. I do not have the key. Bu it is unlocked. Hinged lid opens to reveal an interior divided into 3 sections: cylindrical main compartment flanked to by 2 identical lidded side compartments. The lid is lined with wallpaper-probably not original. The 3 main compartments are lined with deteriorating wallpaper that probably is original to the piece. Overall, the condition do this piece is quite good-exterior is VERY beautiful, but the wood is splitting slightly from variations in humidity. Antique Chinese Export LACQUER TEA CADDY Dragon Feet Box PAKTONG PEWTER Insert
Gilt Lacquer Tea has an illustrious history as an important tradition and valuable commodity; one worthy of storage in the most exquisite containers. This gorgeous gilt lacquer tea caddy was made in early 19th-century China as a luxury export item. It provides a dry and secure place for the tea within the pewter insert as well as a beautiful and ornate depiction of its ceremony in the detailed gold paintings on the lacquer. The shape is luxurious; the wood is carved into curving and scalloped surfaces that culminate in a raised panel on top. The box opens with brass hinges and a lock(no key present) Nearly every square inch of the lacquer is filled with intricate gold design. With figures shown enjoying tea amid ornate feathery and floral borders. Even the inside is beautifully decorated with twin tea branches and a filigree edge. The box ... moreis raised on wonderful carved dragon feet- golden beasts with open red mouths. The pewter box inside is engraved with figures and other decoration. And fitted with"cream" knobs. It is hinged to open to a large single compartment. There are some signs of wear and a few conditions to note. Wear to the gold decoration in places(mostly corners and edges) consistent with an object nearly 200 years old. Chipping. Abrasion, and discreet cracks on one end in both the lacquer and the wood underneath, mostly along joints. Discreet old repair to the underside of one foot. Antique CA 1890's German Silver plate tea caddy with lock marked "Jurst" & J & C
Antique CA 1890's German. Silver plate tea caddy with lock. Bottom is marked"Jurst" J& C with the German Eagle. The caddy measures 5 1/2"s wide by 5"s deep by 4"s tall counting the feet. Selling in as found condition. I don't have the key but it sounds as if someone hid it inside the lock frame. Two wire pins hold it in place and something is rattling around inside. I will leave that mystery to the next owner.

Antique 19th. Coromandel Treasure Chest/Tea Caddy//Cool Box! Dome top
This is a very cool Coromandel box that is treasure chest in shape. It has a lead like liner on the inside that you can tell is very old and heavy! The box has quite the heft to it, with a brass decoration on it. This is a very solid dense wood that has a caramel color swirl to it. Coromandel wood is an exotic wood that is no longer available. This box is well made that has stood the test of time. This box is in very nice shape,please see last photo for small piece of veneer missing on bottom corner) and a spot varnish dull with age. This would make a wonderful gift to put small treasures inside. Much to the surprise of the lucky receiver!
