Within the box is a sigle lidded dual section. The box is in good condition though minor wear is present including a few little bashed and scuffs. Namely to the corners. The veneer to the lid has split just a little which can be seen in the light. The foil has come away from the inner but there are still bits present. There is a little split to the rim on the inside black veneer and the lid has been repaired from a split down the centre, as pictured. The height of the caddy is 11.3cm x 21.5cm x 16.3cm. You are bidding on an antique. Walnut or rosewood, wood/wooden, casket/sarcophagus, tea caddy/box with its original, working key. The caddy measures 4 3/4" x 8 3/8" x 4 3/8" high. It has two, interior compartments, as shown, and 4, matching, bun feet. It has a crack in the top that is most visible from the inside, as seen in my last photo, and someone has done a messy glue job on one of the compartment knobs. A Clipper sailing ship is depicted at top of the tree shaped handle, and in the pierced ruffled edge spoon bowl are scrolls and flowers and at the bottom a country scene with a milk maid holding two buckets of milk, one in each hand. The hallmarks on the back of spoon bowl are difficult to read but they look to me like a*dolphin mark and possibly also a sword mark. This spoon is not Sterling Silver. But I have*tested and verified that the silver is at least 800(80% Weight: 43.3 grams. Antique Tea Caddy English Victorian Mahogany w/ Antique Glass Bowl
A wonderful example of old Victorian formality. Tea was a treasure and needed a locked box in which to keep it. This example has two removal boxes to store the tea. Both lined with tin. The brass handles on each side are wonderfully bold and look almost like lion heads, however they do need polishing but I was afraid to get polish on the wood. The decorative mosaic wood around the individual tea boxes and the main box are quite lovely although some pieces are missing. You can see that in the pictures. There is also some veneer missing. The glass bowl is quite lovely although there is a tiny chip on the base. The box measures 12" in lenglth and 6" in width and 6" in depth. A lovely example of Victorian times. Antique Victorian S Fielding & Co English Biscuit Barrel Tea Caddy Floral
An absolutely gorgeous example of an antique Victorian Biscuit Barrel. Now that tea isn't such an expensive commodity. This could certainly also be used for a most attractive Tea Caddy. The floral design on this is truly outstanding. The whole piece is further accented by an ornate double gold trim around the top and the bottom. See picture 6 for details of the rim. This piece originally had a handle, but it is now missing. However, that certainly doesn't stop it for being used for its original purpose. Marked S F& Co England with the Crown mark. Antique 19thC English Mahogany Tea Caddy
Measuring 9" wide. 4 1/2" deep and 4" high. There is a small ammount of veneer loss of the bottom right side as pictured. Being over 150 years old is not much to show for such age. This is an unusual grain cut veneer that along with the original lids.A very good example of this type, there is no key but the lid closes sweetly and hinges well. As this Caddy is over 100 years old it will be sent with the correct certification as an antique that has not been altered in anyway as such there will be no customs to pay in the United States. Description Antique 18th Century Georgian Solid Silver bottle shaped Tea Caddy. Compressed oval form, the detachable domed cover has a vase shaped finial. The body is beautifully hand embossed with two foliate scrolled reserves between floral garlands. The piece has a peculiar sliding base. Unmarked on body and cover(as usual for this kind of objects) the sliding base is Hallmarked English Silver(925 Standard) the other marks are rubbed and not clear. An unusual antique carved wooden treen brush pot. Tea caddy, jar, pot. The carving depicting a picket fence bound with a leather belt with buckle. The main body of the carving is carved out of one piece of wood and the circular base from another. It may have been made as it is or there may originally have been a pot liner and lid or either one or neither of these, I cannot say as I personally haven't seen one like it before. The wood possibly walnut. Lovely patina and very tactile to handle. There is one hard to see very fine short crack and some tiny little holes/ marks to one point at the top just above the buckle. Only commensurate with age and use and with the many pictures ... moregiving a good representation of condition and where it can be judged on it's own merit, so please do check these out carefully before bidding. Antique 19thC English Figured Walnut, Ormallieu & Faux Ivory Domed Top Tea Caddy
Measuring 9" wide. 5 1/2" deep and 7 1/2" high. This Caddy has a very striking appearance and is original, just wear commensurate with age. Being over 150 years old is not much to show for such age. There are a couple of Cabachons that may be replacement and the key is non functioning but can be used as a blank to cut from. This caddy would have been made for wealthy gentry and not available to the everyday public's pocket or purse. As this Caddy is over 100 years old it will be sent with the correct certification as an antique that has not been altered in anyway as such there will be no customs to pay in the United States. And a mentioned noticeably to the left hand side of the castle building area a patch of roughly oval restoration about 1 1/2 inches diameter, in coloured dyes& french polished over. Also in that same general area and running down the front is some staining, and I will say that it appears better in the flesh than the photos portray. It has its key working in the lock. The caddy is supported on four bun feet. Internally two lids, covering the two tea compartments, and within each, lining paper in good condition and the box could be used today for tea or whatever. Up for bid today is a fantastic Chinese pewter tea caddy by Swatow in the form of a globe of the world on stand. This piece has latitude and longitude lines with continents along with Chinese characters for the different continents. The lid lifts to allow access to a removable jar with lid. The piece is signed with a sun symbol inside the lid along with the logo for Swatow to underside of the removable jar. The piece does have some small dents around the globe. The pewter is soft so I believe these could be removed by a competent hand. The piece has been polished at some point and very much resembles silver. 2 beautiful antique. Matching, hand painted porcelain jars or tea caddies. Marked. Made in France Hand Painted in red script, but worn. Also marked with the 2 crossed arrows or feathers or wheat stalks. There are a number of porcelain makers that use those marks in several countries. There are at least 3 different companies in France that use them as well. The mention of the country of origin in backstamps indicates that these pieces were made after 1891. Dimensions: 4" tall to the rim. 5" long, 2" wide. The opening ins 1.75" diameter. Condition: Excellent. No chips or cracks or hairlines. There is notable image loss where the lid sits that is visible when the lid is removed. I think this is expected with this type of piece. The underside is pretty dirty. This is also pretty normal for unglazed porcelain.

Antique Sheffield plate caddy spoon. Someone. A long time ago, mended this spoon with a strip of solid silver. It must have been much treasured. You can see its mend on the reverse- see picture two. To me this is rather charming. There is a small amount of wear round the edge. As is so often the case with proper Sheffield plate, but it actually isn't bad on this. Antique Chinese Japanese Jar Tea Caddy Celadon w Florals Porcelain Pottery V Gd
This is a lovely old lidded tea caddy or condiment jar but not marked and I'm not certain whether it's Japanese or Chinese. The background is celadon and there are numerous little red. Blue, and white raised flowers and buds overall with green foliage and graceful curving narrow black stems. There is a lid and an inner top and the overall measurements are: 4" dia x 6" t. This is sitting on a wooden base which is not original but added later and is not as old as the jar but does go with it in this sale. There is a little bit of glaze buildup around the top of the jar(pic 8) and two very small chips on the inner top which may or may not show up in the pics. There are two little glaze skips on the side of the lid. None of these is distracting and there are no chips, cracks, repairs, discolorations or other to mention. As you can see, the two wood ring handles are missing from either side, and one of the ring holders is broken. There are also a couple of very tiny dings to the corner of the cover. One of the bone knobs is an old replacement, and there are only remnants of the original Zinc Liner left inside the two tea compartments. There are no other problems, or any repairs to this early 19th century Tea Caddy. The inside of the cover is lined in a thin layer of red leather, and the four bun feet are guaranteed to be original. A wonderfully decorative George III tea caddy made from exotic Harewood with the most exquisite and pretty inlay. A floral garland tied with a bow at the front and the lid with a continuous floral and foliate garland. The lid is cross-banded in Kingwood and framed with Boxwood stringing. The interior is all original with the single oval tray which is the type that would sit on top of the loose tea leaves wherever that level may be at a given time. Antique English Painted Papier Mache Tea Caddy c.1850
A beautiful and original Papier Mache Tea Caddy dating to around 1850 with wonderful provenance included that a family member had left inside. The caddy is beautifully decorated with hand painted flowers. Peacocks and an Urn, all finished in lavish gilding. All the sides are hand painted and the interior lids show how fresh the painting would have appeared when first made some 170 years ago. The interior of the two tea compartments remain original with the caddy spoon the the owner had used. Two pieces of hand-written paper came with the caddy with some history of the original owner. The caddy belonged to a Mary Harrison born in Hull(England) in 1815 and used it her entire married life, once married to Mr. William Harrison in 1848 which ties in perfectly to the date of the caddy.
