Antique Durkee's Red Pepper Spice Tin
This tiny antique Durkee's Red Pepper tin is so cute. It measures just 2 1/2" tall x 1 1/2" wide. It is marked as a 1 oz. net container and is about as cute as a little tin can be. All the other old Durkee's tins I have seen for sale are the 1.5 oz. size. This is apparently the"baby" of the family and not very common. As I have not seen another this small. The Durkee red and green label on the tin reads: Durkee's Red Pepper Durkee Famous Foods Elmhurst, N.Y. Manufacturer. And the famous green quality and assurance ribbon reads, Warrented Strictly Pure E.R. Durkee, N.Y. This little cutie is a tiny piece of Americana at it's best. EARLY AMERICAN ANTIQUE WOOD SPICE RACK TEA CABINET 8 DRAWER KITCHEN BOX OLD NR
ANTIQUE WOOD SPICE RACK TEA CABINET 8 DRAWER BOX OLD NR Up for your consideration is this really cool old antique 8 drawer wood spice rack. It is probably from the 1920's or 30's The knobs are probably replacements from maybe the 1950's or 60's. The entire thing(frame and boxes) is made from some very old rough sawn wood. But I am not sure of the specie. FEATURES: The drawers are solid wood and have box joints. ADD. INFO: It is currently a semi gloss white(spray painted) probably in the 50's or 60's and before that it was brush painted that pale"diner" yellow probably from the 30's or 40's and before that I think it may have been unfinished(and a bit more dignified) its first couple decades. It is possible that this is older. But I try to be conservative. SIZE: It measures about 10" wide x 5-1/2" ... moredeep x 16-1/2" tall The inside dimensions of the boxes are 3-3/4" wide x 4-1/8" deep x 2" tall. COLOR: semi gloss white TYPE: antique kitchen spice or tea cabinet CIRCA: likely around the mid 1920's give or take 10 years MATERIAL: Rough sawn wood planks. Mill-cut CONDITION: as can be seen it is painted white and that was over the yellow and it has some dings and dents. One of the drawers looks like the top edge got carved off for some reason along the way? can't imagine how that came to be. But all the drawers go in and out and fit into their respective openings fairly well. It is solid and very secure, over the decades the wood has dried out but is not warped at all. So because of its age and condition this is being sold"AS IS" Its old and seen some days but I think it has more character than anything else! A very handsome old piece. I think if I were to keep this one I would strip every drop of paint off of it and hand rub it with paste wax, I know there are some of you out there that would scream bloody murder over that but I love natural wood grain. Antique Treenware Round Container Spice Box Wood Treen
Estate sale found antique wood treenware round covered spice? box in very good condition for the age. This has a wonderful original finish and patina. There are no cracks, chips or bad blemishes. The only flaw is the cover does not seat perfectly on the base as it's shrank from age and you have to turn it a bit to line up the best fit. The cover is snug on the base as it should be but I'm just mentioning the tiny flaw keeping this from an excellent grade. This could be fixed easily with patina sacrificing sand paper but I don't mind it having a little 1/32" of a gap on either one side or the other, gives it character and shows it's age. The front of each is marked with a spice(Cloves. Allspice, Cinnamon, and Nutmeg) and the jars are decorated with a pastoral(farm) scene in browns and blues. The jars measure 4 inches high to the top of the handles, or 3-1/8 inches without the lids. They are 2.5 inches wide and 1.75 inches deep. The 4 jars vary from fair to good condition. The wood is not split or lose and only lightly worn with some paint issues you can see in the pictures. Hello. This listing is for an amazing beautiful old pair of huge Apothecary jars. Canisters or pots. Their beautifully hand painted. Their very heavy. almost 10 pounds between them. There's some gold missing from the lid of the Tamarind jar/canister. This jar is stamped with a blue arrow with I believe an H. There's also a very faint 222 stamped on the bottom. The IODI jar has no readable markings on the bottom. Maybe just a tiny bit of the blue arrow? There's some of the gold banding missing from the bottom part of the iodi. These Silver Solder Pieces were Primarily used in Hotel Service and are an extra thick Silver Plating. 2 blue and white asian antique spice jars or canisters
These are a pair of hand made and hand painted spice canisters or jars probably from china although England was producing hand painted items back then that had a chinese feel. Anyway they are beautiful and in great condition. There are 2 sizes the larger is 71/2" tall and the smaller is 6" tall. both are porcelain with a beautiful hand painted scene on both sides of each canister. Each canister has 2 lids a flat one and then the top one with more art work on it.

It would have been displayed in a Country Store where the bay leaves were likely sold by weight or count. It measures 10.25“ tall by 8“ wide and 9“ deep, a wonderful size! This antique Victorian-period spice bin is in very good, original condition. On the front is a wonderful scenic lithograph in shades of gold and dark green, with brown accents. The main picture shows men with donkeys carrying large bundles on their backs, with buildings and scenery in the background. Except for the light wear you see to the original surface, this Country Store Spice Bin is in very good, original condition. MAUCHLINE SPICE BOX SOUVENIR OF CRYSTAL PALACE CA 1870 The box is marked Crystal Palace. Sydenham. The Crystal Palace was a glass and iron structure erected for the"Great Exhibition" of 1851 during the reign of Queen Victoria. It is also called"The Peoples Palace" and was moved from Hyde Park to Sydenham in 1856. Sadly it burned down in 1936. The costumes of the people seen on the lawn in front of the building appear to be from the 1860's. There are seven containers inside. Each marked with the name of a different spice. The box is 6 3/4" in diameter and 3 3/4" tall. The individual containers are 1 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/2" tall. The condition is excellent.

Beautiful antique set! Set has 6 Canisters. Salt box, oil and vinegar decanters and spice jars. I knocked the dust off of these but have not tried to clean. The oil cruet has quite a bit of staining, and one spice lid has staining as shown in the pictures. There is an extra canister lid, also has light staining in the crazing. The tea canister has a chip in the rim, and a crack starting from that chip, also shown in the pictures. This is a really nice set, not often you find one so complete. It is not on every inch but scattered around the maple wood. Each drawer is beveled in a Bull's Eye shape. And over the top of each handle is a Ribbon shaped metal tag. There are: Almonds. Likely a Dutch import. Great signs of period craftsmanship. Take a moment to enlarge the pictures and you can see nice signs of turning, and the little'footed' design. Spice pots such as this were used to hold small amounts of a particular spice(be it pepper pods. Antique French Filgree Gold Plated Sterling Enamel Crest Spice Box
Exquisitely crafted in diminutive sterling filigree with gold wash. This 1 3/4" wide by 1" tall spice box is in wonderful vintage condition and is marked both on the lid and box with the boar's head and two II beneath it signifying the Paris Assay Office mark of at least 800 sterling and dating from 1838 to 1961. There is also a maker's mark which appears to be a shepherd's hook and a lower case p beneath it. The top is embellished with an enamelled crest with the colours of the French flag in a regal crest.
