Offered without reserve is an antique Zither Harp Autoharp Guitar type old String Instrument from an estate. The top ands sides are Rosewood with a nice looking binding inlay. The instrument will require some repairs. The top right is missing a 3/4" long piece of the binding, the lower corner on the back has a small chip and there are some cracks where the wood was joined and by one of the feet. It is also missing a piece from the wooden piece that the strings would fasten to and it has no strings on it. It measures approx. 1 1/4" thick, 12 1/2" across and it is 20" tall. I do not see any makers marks or labels on this however it looks like a high quality old Instrument and it has a very nice look for display, hopefully someone can put it to good use.No Reserve! have fun bidding! This historic antique oboe by a famous maker-Triebert.Needs a professional service,clean and repad. However it has no visible cracking and the bore appears true. All the keys are there if well worn. This is an instrument that although French is a thumbplate oboe made for the British market. On the bell are the Triebert tower logo with Triebert Brevette and the number 609. The total length of the instruments is 22 inches. With some TLC this would be an interesting period oboe for the player/collector. In the original oak case with a case contaiing a number of reed staples. No zero score bidders please. Early Victorian needlepoint of a spaniel standing in a landscape. There are buildings in the distance to the left and the spaniel has her head turned back, presumably looking at her mistress. The woolwork is very well preserved; the background is left unworked as was usually the case with these needlepoint dog portraits. I would date the sampler to the mid-19th century, circa 1840's-1850's. Quite large and heavy. The total framed size measures ~15" x 17.5" It is housed behind glass in a period, possibly original, rosewood veneer frame with narrow inner gilt liner. The interior has purple velvet lining to the tray and lid. And the lid part opens to show a pocket for paper. It is 9" by 5" by 2" It is complete withan antique key which is not original and does not quite fit to lock it, although it almost does but is nice for display. It weighs 640 grams. Small free standing commode of two drawers, with breche violette marble top and bronze mounts. Measures about 31” high, 24” wide and 17” deep. It is a true antique. Over 100 year old item, please don’t be confused with pathetic Egyptian copies widely available on eBay. This commode of the medium ... moresize– it’s slightly smaller than a regular size commode and can be used as a lamp table in the living room on the side of the sofa. Antique Chinese Carved Rosewood Teak Marble Top Table 1890's
18" tall 15" square Marble is a rose colored. It is cracked down the center. It measures roughly a 10" square plus the curvatures. Hand carved from around the 1890's so I'm told. I acan find nothing wrong with this table aside from the marble being cracked. I do not know for sure if the wood is teak or rosewood. Shipping cost includes insurance.

Someone will probably be able to recognize the characters. I hope the pictures come out clear so you can read them. there are characters on both sides of the plane iron, and some(faint) carved into the tip of the wood plane body on the top. Please zoom into the photos for a better view. The plane measures roughly 13" x 5" wide x 3' tall. The iron measures 4-1/4" x 8" This plane is a beautiful work of art made by someone who should be admired for his workmanship. A wonderfully decorative example of an early Victorian lap desk made from Rosewood with intricate and stunning Burr Maple inlay. The front inlaid cartouche and escutcheon are both made from Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell. Once opened. The top fitted section reveals a pen tray a lidded compartment for additional pens, and other necessities, two small sloped compartments for pen nibs and clips and two(later) brass topped glass inkwells. The leather writing surface opens at the top to reveal a compartment below to store papers, stationery and letters. One crack on the soundb oard. Visible on the lower bout, treble side. Typical scratches. S mall dents and dings. Strumming wear, etc. on the top. The Brazilian rosewood sides have great grain patterns. They have a couple of cracks. One of these is on the treble side and measures about 5 inches in length. There is a crack of indeterminate length on the bass side. Which a DIYer many years ago attempted to stabilize by removing a bit of finish in the vicinity and gluing a strip of wood to the outside of the guitar. A look through the soundhole shows that it appears to be a single crack and no holes. Notable loss of wood, etc. If you check the image of the neck at the heel. I peeled off a corner of this patch to reveal nice dark rosewood underneath, sugge sting that the repair was done with easily reversible animal based adhesive. As opposed to m odern glues that are difficult to remove. So it should not pose a huge challenge for a luth ier to remove this wood and gl ue the crack prop erly. Wood needs to be reglued in the area where a strap button would be at the bottom of the

Shown is a vintage chased brass mounted and dovetailed rosewood jewel box from China. Measures 10" by 6 3/4" by 5 3/8" and weighs over 2.5 Kg. The box is in the form of a cabinet raised on feet with two doors opening to an interior with 4 drawers and with one drawer below. The lock is present but the eyelet on the left door is gone. The left door has a surface crack on the upper left. In good. Used condition, consistent with its vintage normal and expected wear is present as shown. It dates from the late 19th century and is stamped"Skultuna Bruk 1.3 L(iter) There are no dents on the vessel part. The spout has a small dent on one side near its bottom and the lid has two tiny bumps on it's edge that one has to look closely to notice. The urn could use a good polishing if that is your preference for display or use. It is 8 1.4"high x 4 1/2" in diameter at its largest girth. The handle, with its brass mount extends 4 1/2" from the body.

Antique german mandolin by luthier - brazilian rosewood - plays & sounds great
Hello. I am selling for a friend several old and antique plucked instruments. He collected for many years. I hope you will like them. Now you are bidding on a vintage bowlback mandolin. Handmade in Germany, a most beautiful and very interesting piece. The label(metal plate at the head) says"Carl Gottlob Schuster jun. Markneukirchen" I guess it was made around 1900 to 1930. Schuster was well known for high quality plucked instruments. Finest all solid woods, the top is solid spruce, the back is made of wonderful brazilian rosedwood with 15 ribs. The condition is good for its age, no repair necessary, straight neck with fine sound. The fingerboard with 17 frets(good condition) is made of rosewood. 5 mop markers. Wonderful head, the closed tuners with the noble knobs work very well, the bridge seems to be original and in good condition, ... morebut maybe it should be replaced or repaired(see pic) The neck is perfectly straight and very good playable. Action 12th fret is about 2mm(very low) Newer strings, fine and clear sound. A good instrument, high quality! Total length: 620mm. Scale length: 330mm, width of the nut: 27mm, width 12th fret: 37mm. GOOD CONDITION! Two small holes in the top. It doesn't affect the sound. Two screws( at one side, I think there were two small additional soundholes for bigger sound. Otherwise wonderful condition!
