Antique Rosewood Flute Silver Keys Unmarked Estate Find NR!!
Here is part of a nice antique rosewood flute. Most likely French circa mid to early 1800's. Again this is only part of the flute, 3 sections in total as can be seen in the photos. The keys appear to be solid silver, with a couple of ivory bands. The flute is fresh from an attic and does need a good cleaning. What we have measures 14.25" long. Good condition overall. UNKNOWN ANTIQUE ROSEWOOD CLARINET Eb LP MADE IN FRANCE w/ ORIGINAL CASE
Untitled Document This antique wooden clarinet is not marked with a manufacturer's name. There are a few stamps in the surface of the wood. Including"Eb" FRANCE" and"LP" I can find no other marks, symbols, serial numbers, or anything else to tell me who made it. It appears to be made of rosewood, and I think it could be a 1910s-1920s model. It includes an old case with a Tolex-like industrial fabric covering and purple felt lining. The clarinet appears to be in very good condition. There are no cracks or other structural damage to the body, the keys respond well, and it is in very good cosmetic condition. It likely needs to be re-padded and detailed. It includes a mouthpiece, which looks much newer, probably bakelite instead of rubber or wood. It, too, is unmarked. Up for auction is an antique rosewood tea caddy recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is very rough and wound make a wonderful project. One of the pins in the hinge is missing. There is a loss of veneer on the top, on the seem and a side of the wood. Please see the photos for details. He dates from the late Meiji period. Or around 1910. Amida means"Infinite Light" and the Amida(or Amitabha) Buddha is one of the loftiest savior figures in Japanese Buddhism. Nyorai is the Sino-Japanese translation of the Sanskrit term"tathagata" which refers to"being" in the highest possible state of reality and originally only referred to the historical Buddha. Prince Siddhartha Gautama. Eventually the term came to be applied to a number of other entities, including the Amitabha. The Amida Nyorai faith is concerned mainly with the life to ... morecome. Antique Ferrari & Co. rosewood mandolin mother of pearl inlay
This mandolin was made in Napoli by Ferrari& Co. The mandolin is 24 inches long. It has a spruce top with an ebony and mother of pearly border. The noise hole also has an ebony and mother of pearl border. The scratch plate is missing. The back is made of rosewood ribs with maple stripes. The fingerboard has brass frets but there are 6 missing. We believe this dates to circa 1900. There is a small hole on the side where there has been a loss to some of the wood. There is also a hairline crack in the center of the spruce top. All strings and tuners are intact. There is a tiny chip to the wood on the back on the corner at the top. There is a paper label inside. Additional photos can be provided upon request. This is an opportunity to get a restoration candidate at a great price.

An Antique Chinese Mother of Pearl Inlaid Rosewood Box & Lid c1900
This fine antique chinese box and lid i think dates to around 1900 but could be either way in date. The box is made of wood that i think may be rosewood or a similar wood and is nice quality with good colour and patina, the box has a lift off lid that has different inlaid oriental designs of mother of pearl all over although there are a couple of pieces of inlay missing on two of the designs, there is a carved handle on the top that has a smasll chip off the end, the sides of the box also have mother of pearl inlay with different designs but all of these are intact, there are some glue repairs to a couple of joints on the bottom of the box and minor wear and tear with age, the box measures 9 x 5 x 3 inches, in pretty good condition for its age, i have taken some pictures of the inlay outside to get more detail which makes the wood look black ... morebut more the red colour in the indoor pictures

There is gold gilt paint which separates the two woods and which adds to the beauty and character of the tables. Ornate brass accents the wood. There is a pierced brass raised trim which borders most of the top circumference. There are large brass rosette swags/drops on each side of the drawer areas. The front legs of the table have large brass accents on their lower sections. The tables are more oval than round. They each have 3 functional drawers which are wood, not a composite. You can see where a seam came apart on one arm and a small splice was put in to hold it together, and other than some little cracks from age where the seams come together, it’s in outstanding shape. In the very top center crest, you can also see a rough spot where the wood got rubbed, which we will fix before shipping. Someone has reupholstered it in an antique blue with beige busy patterned fabric, with tassels, flowers and leaves, all buttoned and pleated in back. The frame is all solid wood, dates from the 1870s, and as I said, is really large. It measures 79 inches across the wings, and 68 inches wide on the inside of the seat. It is 31 inches deep from front to back, and is 42 inches high on the center back. The seat is 19 inches high. It sits nicely, and is tight and sturdy. She explained to me that it was an antique at that time but could not say how old it was. I did not have the money she was asking so I sold the very nice stereo system out of my Lincoln Mark IV to get it. It has been in my collection for 33 years and it is now time for me to sell it. This is the honest truth and is not made up heresy. Take it at that. Description: The statue is 16.5 inches tall and a little over 4" wide. After some research I found this to be very similar to other examples claiming to be early 1800's. I believe this is most likely from the late Oing Ch'ing dynasty circa 1850- early 1900's. Condition: The upper teeth are missing from the main figure and the right eye of the bird is gone. I can have these replaced as reproductions for $30-$40 but I have not messed with this piece at all and did not want to start.
