2 ESTERBROOK Vtg.Antique Boxes 2 3/4" & 2 1/4" Double Spring, School Nibs &Bell
Offering 2 aged Esterbrook boxes in 2 sizes. Smaller box has only 4 School nibs in very clean condition. The larger box also aged. Has 40 plus Double Springs which are also clean appear unused. Both boxes have strip across the top with names of the nibs. Back of boxes have heading Caution and contains information about Richard Esterbrook who in 1858 manufactured the first steel pens in America. Boxes were sealed boxes with the original R. Esterbrook signature. I have revised my listing& have added 16 Bell System nibs which owner had in his estate. All of these and the above had been put away for about 15 years.

Here are a couple of Antique boxes of Shoe Tacks. One is made by the Holland MFG Co in Baltimore. MD and is more than half full of 5/8" tacks. The other is in a Stanley box that reads corrugated fasteners. However there are more tacks and square nails inside. It is not as full. Franklin Holland, who was from New England, set up the Baltimore tack works in 1901 after working for the Stanley Tool Co. in New Britain, Conn. Since the 18th century, the Holland family has been involved with tools, nails and hardware. They have what appear to be brass closures on their long sides. And a card slot with library pulls on their short sides. They are 12.5" long by 4" wide by 4.5" high. There are some surface scratches and marks but they really only add to the beauty. On the bottom of each box it says No. 1 lantern slide box Made by Eastman Kodak Co. Rochester. NY USA. They are numbered from 1 to 60 on on the inner rim. Nearest to the clasp, and on the inside cover there are numbered spaces from 1 to 60 to write down a description. While these were made for slides. The outer box and inner boxes and their components are intact and in working condition except a hinge on one of the interior boxes and rust through in the edge of one of the others-indicative of their true antique status. Hello, Up for sale is a set of Antique Art Deco celluloid boxes for the vanity. The set has a mother or pearl look on the top with a black design on them. The bottoms are aamber color. The box with the hole in the middle is in great condition with no chips or cracks in it. The black design on the top does have some wear. The other box has been loved alot and is not in that great of condition but still useable. The top has the ridge on inside(see picture 2) is all broken off. And there is a crack in the bottom. One cylinder shaped trinket box, c. early to mid-1800s All lids open and close properly. Generally gorgeous VG to excellent condition, some loss of lacquer INSIDE the 2nd box, t in degrading on the inside of the smallest box. See pictures. Smallest rectangular snuff box: measures 3/4" high x 2 1/3" long x 1 1/4" deep- shell banding set off by a double frame at the edge. Center oval medallion is lovely in its iridescence(thanks to another eBayer, I note that t his box is pictured on page 59 of the book"Collecting for Tomorrow BOXES" by Brian Cole. Set of(4) beautiful Japanese Shadow Boxes. These boxes have been in my family for several generations and are part of a large estate sale. The boxes are a rich walnut color and are in very good condition. Some small scuffs, but anything can easily be covered with scratch remover polish as they have a soft non gloss finish. The Japanese figures are beautifully dressed in bright colorful traditional dress, because of the depth of the boxes(3" they offer a wonderful 3D effect, really beautiful on the wall. Up for bids is this lot of 2 antique wooden boxes/ shipping crates. Great for repurposing or display. Hammer& nail construction. Time worn edges, great looking old wooden patina and finger jointed corners. Boxes are all structurally sound with good strong boards. Saw some faint lettering on a couple of them that I couldn't quite make out. Winning bidder gets both. Larger box measures 11 inches long, 8 inches wide, 7 ½ inches tall.
