Made in England. Circa 1960 Mahogany Single pedestal Minor marks to top Repaired leg, This beautiful antique style mahogany pedestal drop leaf table was crafted in England around 1960. Over the years. The mahogany has developed a lovely patina that contributes to its rich grain and lustrous complexion, which should only continue to grow more beautiful with time. We refer to this style of table as the Regency style due to the nicely turned pedestal and the fluted and splayed legs. The feet are a brass claw foot and caster. Because this pedestal table is also a drop leaf table, it is very versatile, perfect as a side table, hall table, serving table or dining table. The convenient pedestal design also means that this drop leaf table has a sturdy base and legs that are not too intrusive. Obviously this table has been meticulously cared for over the years as it remains in very good condition today. The drop leaves function smoothly. The leaves are supported by a swing out wooden arm on each side. There are some very light marks and scratches on the top. But these do not detract from the overall beauty of the table. This would be the perfect table to use your cutting boards on. This black solid wood table. Unfortunately, is not in pristine condition due to the age and many years of use. Measuring at a height of 29.5 inches tall, 41.5 inches deep, and 41 inches unexpanded, it has a potential width of 58 inches with the addition of another leaf. Unfortunately. The metal hardware used to keep one of the drop leaves up is missing. However, since the hardware is present on the other dropleaf, it should not be too difficult to replace the missing hardware. Each of the legs or spindles have wheels for more convenient movement. However. The wheels are also rather delicate and old so if the table is going to be moved frequently, it may be of consideration to replace these. The bottom of the table has countless stains from years of use. Including some paint splatters. There are dents. Scuffs, and dings to the top but the top is free of stains.
