I can tell that it's made of oak, the carving is very well executed, and the table is overall in very good condition. Size- it's diminutive. Just 24" in height, 21" wide at large side of oval, 18.5" at small side of oval. When closed, table is just 6.5" across, so closed size is 18" x 6.5" I believe that the table has it's original finish; I've kept the table in a quiet corner of the house. And have oiled it a couple of times(with orange oil) while in possession. There is a'patch' on one of the'leaves' where it split some time ago. The split is visible on the table top- but in my view does not take anything way. On the underside of the table two metal straps were added for support. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE OR VINTAGE WOOD DROPLEAF SIDE TABLE
This is a beautiful antique or vintage drop leaf side table. I am not sure of what the wood is. Maybe Mahogany? Not really sure. It is about 28 inches tall and about 35 inches wide with both leaves open and about 16 inches wide with the leaves closed. You can open either 1 leaf or both. There are a few marks and scratches on it but really a beautiful little table for age. There is also 1 drawer in front. Thanks for looking.

This auction is for a True"Baby" size Dark Oak Double Drop Leaf Gateleg Table with pretty deep cut Barley Twist Legs from England. This is the first true"baby size" Barley Twist Gaelag table I have seen in over 5 years. In the 13 years of being in this business. I have seen around 20 of these, but these days, they are far& few between. A"true baby size" means the top is 18" or less across, there asr still small sizes which are around 22 to 26 inches coming over. It is getting harder to find a Good smaller size Barley Twist leg table these days at a good price. This is a well made table with pretty Barley Twist Legs. It has a Dark Oak Patina to it. These were used at"tea time" in the UK. They would be set up and then the tea would be served. After"tea time" they would be folded down ... moreand set up next to a wall until it was time for tea again. Today, these make wonderful entry tables with a pretty plant or flower arrangement on them. The also make a nice end or side table. They do not require at lot of room to store if you are not going to use it everyday. It's the perfect size for a breakfast nook table and also serves well as a game table or an extra table to set up when you have a"crowd" over. It's made out of Solid Oak and has some pretty wood grains showing through on the top. It is 18" X 10 1/2" and 28" tall with both leaves down. With one leaf up. It's 18" X 20 2/8" and about 28" tall. With both leaves up, it's about 18" X 30 1/2" and about 28" tall. It has a dark oak patina to it and is a little darker in real life than the pictures show. It has new hinges& screws on both of the drop leaves. It has some dings. Some scratches and blemishes to the finish but it does not have any water rings on it. It has a Medium Dark Blonde Mahogany Patina to to the top. These were used at"tea time" in the UK. They would be set up and then the tea would be served.
