The top is 72 inches(6 foot) by 44 inches. Unlike most drafting table tops. This one is not full of pin holes or scratches. The top is very smooth and in great condition which is pretty rare. I've had this at least 15 years and used it with a white masonite protector over the top. There are some water stains on the top. One of the oak side caps has a small saw notch in it. The light has very good paint and works OK. The right hand Vemco 4100/30 drafting machine is in very good condtion. A few chips in the paint. It is a 30" machine which is an appropiate size for this board. I am not including any scales, they are availabe on Ebay. The stool has alot of paint worn off on the steel legs. It is the Fred Flintstone stool. Used to have a pad on top. The stool is the right height for most people who would use this table. The bottom of the drafting table is oak and is complete. I had to take parts from another table to complete the hardware on this one. There is one crack which was repaired on one of the leg braces as you can see in the pictures. Glue squeezed out from the crack wh ich is the line you see. The table tilts and can be raised or lowered. To ship this would mean crating it and unfortunately there is no inexpensive way to do this. Antique Steampunk NYB Company NY Vintage Industrial Cast Iron Drafting Table. Table Top is approximately 81 1/2" Long x 40 1/2" Wide x 1 1/8" Thick. When cranked all the way down with the table top flat it sit approximately 38" above the floor. When cranked all the way up with the table top flat it sit approximately 46" above the floor. To raise and lower the drafting table you turn the lower wheel facing the draftperson/architect. You turn the wheel clockwise to raise the drafting table or counterclockwise to lower the drafting table. Once you have the drafting table at the desired height it stays in that position until you turn the wheel. The drafting table tilts/angles approximately 75 degrees towards the draftperson/architect without the two bolts as seen in the photo there is an additional 5 to 10 degrees of ... moretilt towards the draftperson/architect. The bolts are there because the retired engineer who used this drafting table for work changed its function to a regular table for his reasons. To adjust the drafting table top to the tilt/angle you want you turn the top wheel which is facing out on the right side of the drafting table. You turn the wheel counterclockwise to release the pressure so you can adjust the tilt/angle of the drafting table. Then you turn the wheel clockwise to apply pressure to secure the position of the tilt/angle of the drafting table top. You can see the gears and mechanisms in the photos. This listing contains one beautiful vintage lighted drafting table. This table came from a printing company in Linn. Missouri which closed down about 20 years ago. I was told this piece is 80 years old or possibly older. The lights were added at a later point. Most of the hardware is original to the piece except the piece for lighted attachments and the flat head screws that hold the height adjustment brackets. I believe this to be made of oak. Please keep in mind this piece is in used condition and shows wear but that gives it a unique patina and character. The frosted glass is chip free as well as crack free. Measures 37" when top is flat and not elevated any. 56" when top is elevated to the fullest. 48" long. 36 1/2" deep. Glass piece measures 3' x 2' Wooden top is 1 1/4" thick.
