Exhibition catalog for this landmark 1980 show of legendary Malibu Tiles at the Craft& Folk Art Museum in Los Angeles. Thirty pages includes a preface by curator David Greenberg and an amazing introduction by Kathryn Smith. Also included are many color plates of incredible 1920's decorative tiles from this short-lived(six years- destroyed by fire) but arguably the most important ever producer of ceramic tile in California. The art is called Tramp Art, due to its being hand crafted by prison inmates back as far as the 1920's or earlier.
