The marble is in great shape as well. Thereare 2 very minor super ficial nics on the edge. They can barely be fet to the touch. There shown in the pics and hardly visible. I don't sell suprises. So while they're minor issues, I mention them. I'll estimate this piece around the turn of the 20th century in age. The stand is 30" high. It's 12 1/2" at the widest bend in the legs. Up for bids is a lot of 19 machine made marbles which I believe Akro made but am not positive on the makers of all of them. Also I believe they are all called moss agates. There are red ones. Green ones, orange ones, blue ones, and yellow. They are all around 5/8 in size with some being a little bigger and smaller. All have a really nice moonie looking base to them. I'm selling the marble for a friend. The marble is a part of a bigger colection. Found during atic clearance in his grandparents house. All marbles were in a very old bag with the rest.But after examine it and having it in my hands can conclude that the marble is in a very good condition with some dings chips and dents on the surface. It is hand made. Have pontil. The origin of the marble. Really don't know. The marble have very interesting style. Definitely the marble carries the spirit of the past. I have several photos from so please see the photos for more accurate description of the condition. The size is 25 mm measured with caliper. 2 antique blob-top beer bottles with partial closure- embossed local brewery Taller bottle is 8.75" tall and in great shape. Embossed: NICHOLL& Co/ COLCHESTER. TRADEMARK around a coat of arms. On bottom: N&Co. Bottle is rather clean, with a little bit of staining on inside. Various bubble throughout. Top is crudely applied. Remnant halves of rubber seal are inside bottle. Shorter bottle is 7.5" tall and in good shape. Embossed: THE PALATINE MINERAL WATER AND BOTTLING CO. LTD. WIGAN around monogram PMC. On bottom: Looks like N[backward]Co. 1397. Various bubble throughout. Top is crudely applied. Bottle is quite opalized and sparkly. On the back side. The inside surface has an unusual"crackly" appearance. ~ ANTIQUE SAFETY HATCHET/ AXE ~ Offered here an estate found. Antique safety hatchet. It features a steel head, cast iron handle and wooden grips. I’m guesstimating that this dates to the late 1800’s/ early 1900’s. There are no markings but it is similar in appeance to older Marbles safety axes. 2 ANTIQUE CODD BOTTLES CRIMPED ON BOTH SIDES WITH MARBLES & BOTTLE STOPPER
You are bidding on(2) ANTIQUE CODD BOTTLES and(1) MARBLE BOTTLE STOPPER. One Codd Bottle is 7 1/2" tall. Crimped on both sides, with marble. It says, This is the property of Gostling& Co. Diss, on one side and the word Trademark and a symbol of what looks to be an anchor on the other side. The other Codd Bottle is 8 1/2" Tall. Crimped on both sides, with marble. It says, Lumb& Co. Makers Castleford on one side and Crampton Aerated Waters Trade Mark and symbol on the other side, and has a C on the bottom. Next is the Marble Bottle Stopper which is a wooden piece that fits on the bottle. To open the bottle. The marble was pressed down by the wooden bottle stopper making the marble fall into the neck chamber below. These bottles are rare because many times children broke these bottles for the marbles.
