Sanded, oiled and original Perrili seat webbing has been replaced. Structurally perfect, original. The chair on the right has a wood flaw on the arm(see picture) which does not diminish the chair at all in my opinion. Description: Set of two(2) Vintage Mid Century Modern Danish style lounge chairs. These chairs are extraordinary. The original finish on these chairs was a toned lacquer(lacquer with a colored toner for a consistent appearance) a little dull. But uniform. I opted to strip the finish off of the chairs and finish with a dark Danish oil which turned out magnificent. The wood has an incredible grain. The structural components are sassafras and the main visual components are Elm or Ash. The chairs are gorgeous. Please note: SANS CUSHIONS! The set being auctioned has no cushions! The set with the cushions shown in the pictures below is an identical set I sold a couple months ago. That set was not refinished and you can see the difference between the two and what the chairs look like with cushions. Full disclosure- quality cushions are going to run you some cash maybe $500-$800. But they can be whatever you want and the end result will be absolute perfection. I have never sold a piece of furniture but here goes. I found this Beautiful Overstuffed Club Rocker in the ditch and just had to rescue it. It was Perfect to recover with some Vintage Barkcloth I had been saving for just the right thing. This Vintage 1930's Chair was the perfect thing! The Chair has been completely stripped down to the wood and re-stuffed then re-upholstered. The cushion is also new. I have had this great Chair for about 4 years now and it was gently used in my Master Bed Room. It will also come with some scraps of matching leftover Barkcloth. When we found this, it was being used on a tandem system with four seats. We believe it is universal, and could be used on any Herman Miller mounting bracket for any chair frame. The chair is composed of a cream-colored fiberglass shell. Which is covered with a brown colored vinyl upholstery. The shell edges have black vinyl trim. Vintage upholstered pin cushion chair & ottoman, perfect size for dollhouse
Vintage pin cushion sachet chair made by Stuart Inc. from the Stuart's Sachet Miniatures line. There is no sachet odor left anymore. This neat little chair still has its original Stuart's labels on both the chair and ottoman and it is in very good overall condition. It is slightly larger than standard 1:12 scale. But is very close to that scale and these make great dollhouse chairs in addition to their intended original use as a pin cushion and sachet. The chair is 4" tall, 2 3/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep. The ottoman is 1 3/4" square and 1 1/2" high. The fiberglass shells are in excellent condition and exhibit only minor wear. And the black rubber edges on all three are in excellent shape as well. The upholstery has puckered away from the foam in the center and needs to be cleaned, though these seats might be better off stripped and refinished as bare fiberglass. I have a fun pin cushion in this offering. It is a wood chair that has been upholstered. The cushion chair part is where you can put your pins. O n either side of the cushioned ch air are spindles to hold a spool of thread. The item is 4 3/4 inch tall and 2 3/4 de ep and 5 1/2 inch across. Mies van der Rohe began his career in architecture in Berlin. Working as an architect first in the studio of Bruno Paul and then, like Le Corbusier and Walter Gropius, Peter Behrens. In the mid-1920s. He began to design furniture, pieces that he conceived and created for particular interiors. In 1927. He met Lilly Reich. This auction is for one vintage 1972 Herman Miller armchair. This chair is sturdy and surprisingly comfortable. Cosmetically. The blue vinyl covering and the cloth seat show very little wear and still look really nice. The blue fiberglass shell of the chair has normal scratches and wear but also looks really nice(see pictures) The metal legs of the chair show scratches and wear. All four original white plastic feet are intact. We are selling this upholstered. Barrel back swivel rocking chair(rocks and rotates 180 degrees) with stool that was originally in my parents home- so is at least 55 years old. It is very well constructed, Early American style with honey colored(I believe pine) wood hand rests and spools, and in perfect working condition(moves smoothly and is steady) There are 2 small tears in the fabric and some fading- but in great shape for the age of the piece. Please see pictures for a complete description. Many grandchildren and great grands were rocked to sleep in this chair. Hate to part with it for sentimental reasons but space will be limited due to downsizing.
