It is a powder blueish/grayish velvet with no tears or rips but it does have some discoloration on the ends of the arms and light discoloration on the right side near the bottom. For auction is one vintage art deco chrome and vinyl armchair from the 1940s. It is in excellent original condition. Including the burnt sienna vinyl with cream-colored piping. The springs and padding are also in great shape. There are some tiny raised spots in the chrome frame near the bottom where minor rust is coming through, but it's in otherwise great condition. The entire chair has been cleaned and detailed. The solid ash armrests are also in great shape, and I'm guessing they were refinished at some point. Mies van der Rohe began his career in architecture in Berlin. Working as an architect first in the studio of Bruno Paul and then, like Le Corbusier and Walter Gropius, Peter Behrens. In the mid-1920s. He began to design furniture, pieces that he conceived and created for particular interiors. In 1927. He met Lilly Reich. Antique Wood Carved Rocking Chair Upholstered Mineral Point Wisconsin Vintage
This antique rocker was purchased in Mineral Point Wisconsin in the early 80s. The shop owner told me it was handmade by the seller's great-grandfather. I had it upholstered at that time. There are no stains or tears. The rocker does have a couple condition issues which I can repair. But I prefer to leave it up to the buyer as I am not a furniture expert. Vintage Herman Miller Eames Wire Upholstered Chair Rare 1950's Venice California
I had a very hard time finding another chair like this one! I finally found one included in a IBM typewriter add from 1955. I am not an expert by any means. But the chair appears to be in great shape for its age. One of the seams is coming undone in the x pattern of the seat. It isn't loose or anything but the stitches have just started to come out. I'm not sure what material it is made of but the only real wear on it is the bottom corners around where your knees would be. The chair spins like it was brand new with no noise at all. It is missing one of the feet on the base. The label on the bottom says LA-320 Venice, California. Please ask questions! I will do my best to answer them. I will package the chair very well so it will arrive to you safely and undamaged.
