Father-and-son furniture manufacturers in Austria in the late 19th ... moreand early 20th century. The chair is approx. 28 3/4" high. 28 3/4" from front to back of the rocker and about 16 1/2" wide in the front. Two of the Kohn labels appear on the chair bottom(see photos) There is also another label but it looks as if it was handwritten and it is no longer legible. I do not know what kind of wood it is made from. The chair has two big problems. The biggest is that the left front leg has broken at the base. By the rocker. There was a screw holding it together here but it has come apart. The other problem is that the curved support underneath the back of the chair has cracked. So far it is still holding together. I don't know if these are"fatal" flaws– I am hoping someone with knowledge could repair these defects and have a beautiful chair. Otherwise. The chair is in good condition. The finish has some scrapes and scratches. Maybe a candidate for refinishing? The upholstery is in very good shape– just some slight fraying on the seat. I don't know if it is original or not. I am not sure exactly how old the chair is. The Kohns formed their partnership in 1867 but I am not sure how long the company lasted. I found references to their pieces from as late as the 1920s. I have the chair marked as"pickup only" because I am afraid in its current state it would not survive shipping. I have many other antique and vintage items listed on eBay as well. Child's Rocking Chair The chair is in good condition showing wear with peeling paint. Looks like the wood under the paint is a light tone wood(see photo) Under the black paint there is the original artwork. Look at the last photo provide. The chair may need some glue on a couple prongs and the spindles show no structural damaged. Measurements: From the top of rockers back to the floor it measures about 20" The diameter of the chair’s seat is 12 x 10 inches. I have a very cute vintage child's rocking chair. This chair has a lot of potential. It measures about from the floor to seat 11" The seat 15 x 15, and floor to top of chair is 24" This chair is in used condition, shows signs of it's age and use. It does need some TLC. It might have it's original material under the fabric that is on it now I can see another fabric on the arms. The bottom or base of the rocker part has an issue it has to sit on it just right just push it to one side and it falls into place and does rock back and forth. Up for auction is this vintage children's rocking chair. The chair is made of oak and is 25 1/2" tall by 20" long by 15 1/2" wide. Someone in time has put a cloth cushion over the original wicker seat of which appears to be in good condition. The back rest has a pattern of acorns and a vine like design. The finials have brass caps on them. It has had some old repairs made to it that should be redone. There are parts of it that are loose. Split and cracked and need to be glued. One is a rocking chair(serial# 25461 on a label located on the bottom side) and the other is a chaise lounge chair or maybe its called a daybed(I did not turn this one over to find the label) The lounge(longer piece) is 68 inches in length and the 41 inches tall at the back of the chair. The lady I got these from said they were about 40 years old. They have always been stored indoors, and away from sunlight and they are in fantastic condition. Vintage FOLK ART Apple Head Doll in Rocking Chair Knitting/Sleeping
Many years ago. A relative, gave me this apple head doll in a rocking chair. For years now she's been in the attic in a box. Time to downsize. She is hand made, but by whom, I don't know. She has white cottony hair and a red/white checked gingham dress with apron over it. She holds her knitting in her hand. Brown felt shoe, long white slip, soft bodied. She has the appearance of one sleeping, smiling in her sleep. Sadly, the heat of the attic must have caused the apple to discolor the top of the dress. Originally, it was fine. The rocking chair, made of bent twigs, has had part of the rocker broken off. See photos and ask questions. She sits on the chair, is about 10" high 7" wide and 8" deep.

Perfect for collectors and/or display! Woven wicker construction with a solid wood base, nicely designed. It has some wear to the paint as shown, and does not look to be the original paint. One of the legs has come apart from the rocking base as shown, and a few cracks in the wicker pieces. Other than that there are no major damages or splits to the wood. It measures about 28 1/2" tall x 19" wide. No markings to indicate age or maker. We welcome local pick up at our store in Lakewood.
