Sanded, oiled and original Perrili seat webbing has been replaced. Structurally perfect, original. The chair on the right has a wood flaw on the arm(see picture) which does not diminish the chair at all in my opinion. Description: Set of two(2) Vintage Mid Century Modern Danish style lounge chairs. These chairs are extraordinary. The original finish on these chairs was a toned lacquer(lacquer with a colored toner for a consistent appearance) a little dull. But uniform. I opted to strip the finish off of the chairs and finish with a dark Danish oil which turned out magnificent. The wood has an incredible grain. The structural components are sassafras and the main visual components are Elm or Ash. The chairs are gorgeous. Please note: SANS CUSHIONS! The set being auctioned has no cushions! The set with the cushions shown in the pictures below is an identical set I sold a couple months ago. That set was not refinished and you can see the difference between the two and what the chairs look like with cushions. This is a mates chair and although it have those little stubby"arms" it is not to be confused with the actual captain's chair of this style that has much longer arms. These were produced for a number of years by Ethan Allen for a few of their lines including Traditional and Early American. There is no damage to the chair and only a few tiny dings or scratches from normal use. There is very light wear to the very tip of the top rail and tip of the"arms" All the joints are nice and tight. It is in the popular nutmeg color and the finish is very good. It has been thoroughly cleaned and polished with butchers wax. It is 29 1/2" tall with a 17" seat height. The height of those stubby"arms" is only 25 1/4" so these chairs can be tucked tightly under the apron of most tables. Leaving more floor space in a smaller dining area. As for the chair it is very comfortable due to the great formed seat work that Ethan Allen was noted for in all of their lines from this period. Two Vintage ca.1975 Kitchen Chairs
Here are two vintage kitchen chairs that are left from my grandparents dinning set. My grandparents purchased them around 1975& I've had them since the 1990's. They were made in the City of Industry. Ca. They have a little rust on the legs& metal sides& the cardboard bottoms of the chairs have staining with tearing& have come apart in some areas where they were stapled. On one of the chairs I have done some repairs to two of the feet by putting a nail& washer on with crazy glue to hold the feet on(see pictures) They were accidentally knocked off when I moved 4 years ago. The vinyl is in very nice shape with little ware. Over all I'd rate them in good condition. They measure about 36 5/8 tall, 15 inches wide, about 20 inches long& seat is about 17 inches high. Ok. this is the real deal. this auction is for a set of FOUR vintage Bertoia wire chairs w/ ORIGINAL chair pads. Ther olive colored pads have the Knoll tag on the bottom. The chairs have the thinner wire( than the newer ones) and have the original paint- These have not been touched up or repainted or repaired in any way. There is some extremely minor paint loss( hard to see) here and there to the wire. These pads all have straps to secure the pads to the seats. One pad is missing a snap. They have manufacturing stamps from July and, August of 1968. Condition: They are in pretty good shape. With some light scratches and dings to the wood here and there. Hello.I hope you have some time to review this ad on these 3 nice old antique chairs.These chairs are solidly built.With lathe cut spindles for the legs that carries through to the unique tapered back and flat tops that's hard to miss,all the way to the gentle curves on the seat.These chairs have been painted through the years and now have some of the desirable crackle and chipping patina we hear so much about.The chairs also have there usual wear and tear that is to be expected, on one of the tops back side the paint has peeled off, and on one chair has a split on the right front seat corner where someone drove a nail through trying to strengthen the leg.The chair stands 35 1/2" tall and the seat is 17" from the floor. this is a beautiful parlor set from England. The sofa is 8' long and 42 1/2" high at the highest point on the back. It has beautiful wood carved trim around the entire sofa and chairs. It looks like maybe a dogwood or magnolia flower pattern. the upholstery is a satiny brocade or embossed type of material. The set includes the sofa. Gentleman's chair, ladies chair and marble top round table(31" across) all good condition. It is a really nice set and the wood carving is really nice. It is not a new replica but manufactired in the 40's in England. the material is a light beige to a light pinkish on the satiny part of the material depending on the light reflection. very nice. Fed. Spec. AA-C-00293 FSN: 7110-273-8755, I looked up the numbers and found one record where these chairs were installed at Marine Corps Base. Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. I don't know where these chairs were originally installed, but according to the numbers, they are the same kind. The metal frames are finished in a very dark gray. The vinyl upholstery is a very dark olive green. The chairs are super strong and sturdy. Each is 17" wide x 19" deep x 32" high overall. The seat height is 17-1/2" high. Nice chairs. Sold just the way I found them. They have been in storage for quite some time and are fairly dirty and dusty. They need a good cleaning. The metal surfaces are free of rust, but they do have chips and other cosmetic marks on them. The upholstery is also dirty as noted, plus there are surface cracks to the vinyl on the seat of one chair, and what looks like adhesive residue where a strip of tape was removed from the other seat. Vintage Chromcraft '68 Set Round Table 4 Chairs DM Mid-Century Cast Metal Bases
This is a great Danish Modern set which is all original and has no unsightly damage to any piece. You can take it home. Set it up and eat supper or play cards; or if you are really industrious you can do some cleaning to grooves in upholstery and get some formica cleaner at good hardware store to clean/polish your table top. There is nothing other than light normal wear to this set which is almost 50 years old- pretty remarkable considering table is a formica laminate on particle board base and chairs are upholstered in black naugahyde/pleather. The most impressive are its metal components, which are heavy cast metal/aluminum? bases on all the chairs and the table. The stained wood trim on table pedestal is also mighty good-looking Retro style and is undamaged by time or anything else. The pedestal riser on both the table and the chairs is ... morechromed metal, and most of them have varying degrees of some rust but no pitting. Semi-chrome polish should remedy most of this and if not, or if it matters; this can be touched up with chrome/metallic spray paint. The set came out of a lake house here and is perfect for cabin/vacation home just as it is. All formica is tight to wood and corners sharp. Very stable and flaws to note can be seen if you enlarge the pictures provided. Picture#10 shows faint 12" circular outline, not scorch or scratch- light tan color blends with faux marbled effect on the creamy white colored surface. There are a few black dots of pen ink scattered around, also not noticeable and there are light surface scratches from use. The chairs are complete, no tears and swivel 360 degrees smoothly, no rocking, no torn or ripped material. There are a few places in 2 chairs that look like a cigarette ash may have created a surface melt about the size of a pencil eraser head, shallow impressions but no holes. Sticker on overturned chair visible and states"An Exclusive Chromcraft'68 by Chromcraft, Inc. Senatobia, Miss. 38668" Table is 47 5/8" diameter, 30 1/8" tall with chairs 34 3/4

These chairs are in very good condition for their age. There is some wear on the edges of the leather and the arms(and in one case. The seat) have been re-stitched. The arms of one of the chairs needs restitching again. The chrome is in good condition with minimal rust spots. An amazing set of legit vintage chairs. Vintage Dunbar dining table in walnut with matching chairs. I believe the chairs have the original vinyl on them. When I acquired them. They had a different fabric covering the orange material you see here, which I removed. I think the orange seats make the walnut in the set just"POP! The chairs have been re-glued, other than that they are all original. The wicker backs have some damage on two of the chairs, but are fully functional as they are. They are sturdy and bear the Dunbar brass tags on each one. The table is 44" dia. and has two 18" leaves in their original felt lined storage/shipping crate, which bears the date of 8-1-57. The table also has the Dunbar tag attached to it. There is also a custom made tempered glass cover for the table when the leaves are not in it. The table is very sturdy with no wiggle or looseness ... moreof any kind. There is one small 1/2" x3" professional repair on one edge of it, hardly noticeable. The finish on the walnut is smooth and clean with no scratches or water rings at all.
