Both these antique parlor chairs have cabriole legs in the front with the original castors; the lady’s chair has finger carving which has an oversize medallion back and dainty hip rests and the gent’s chair has dainty open arms. The woodwork on the gent’s chair is a bit narrower than the lady’s chair. The fabric is nice and usable, but the fabric on the top of the lady’s chair could be tightened up a bit. The lady’s chair is 22 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 17 inches high to the seat and 39 inches high to the chair back.

It does show wear, it's still ... morein very good condition and features charming carved details with fine turnings on the arms and legs and best yet– it appears to retain its original finish. Many of these examples have been painted or refinished or just don’t exist any longer from years of hard use. The fine turnings on the arms and the ball at the end of each arm have age appropriate wear. The top of the back has attractive and subtle carving. The oak has mellowed to a beautiful rich color. The frame is very sturdy. There are areas of rubbing to finish and it could use a good cleaning with the appropriate products,which I will leave to its new owner. I have viewed many examples of antique Victorian era furniture, but have not seen one with the exact same details. There are no markings, so this very well may be a home-made folk art piece by someone with good.woodworking skills. This chair, I believe, ... moredates to the Mid to Late19th Century, most likely between 1880 and 1900. The chair is in very good condition, with only some light surface scratches on it, that are typical of such an old piece. There are a few areas where the finish is damaged, or chipped off, and these can be seen in the photos. It has a carved splat back with a woven rush seat. The seat has obviously been redone, and is in very good condition, with only light signs of wear. The chair has sabre legs on the front, and turned tapering legs on the back. There is some slight separation at the back on the side of the vase where this portion of the splat connects to the supports.

Four 19" Victorian Wood Legs never used and not completely finished as you can see in the photos. They look like Cherry or Mahogony and are in very good condition. The tops are 1 7/8" by 1 7/8" The bottoms are 7/8" by 7/8" and could be used for a small table. I got them from a master craftsman who is in his late 80's and was forced to down size to a smaller shop and was getting rid of extra pieces he saved over the years for patterns etc.

Up for auction is an old Victorian brass/bronze mermaids piece. Maybe furniture trim piece? It measures around 3 1/4 x 4 inches and looks to be quite old. I don't know if it was off a piece of furniture, boat. etc? It looks like it has four mermaids on it, maybe where their hands are, screws went? Up for your viewing pleasures is a beautiful chair from an old estate. It is manufactured in the USA by the Sligh company. It is a beautiful black wood with red velvety type material. It is in good condition with no major issues. Might need a quick cleaning, but I will take all the pictures I can for you to make your judgement. It is pretty sturdy but I wouldn't go jumping on it, it's quite beautiful and classy, I've had it sitting in one corner of my living room and it just adds a blast of color in any living area.
