The upholstery has been professionally redone with high quality black leather and the chair is signed with a metal tag as pictured. Condition: Used Location: Perkasie, United States American Black Painted Bowback Antique Windsor Chair Early 19th Century Item# 100008WPN02 This is a fine American Black Painted Antique Windsor Bowback ... moreSide Chair. Crafted during the first years of the 19th Century. It has a wonderful black paint over another layer of reddish orange, probably also a layer over the original and currently unknown color. The back of the chair has a graceful bow, carefully grasping each through-tenoned splinted spindle before diving through the single solid plank pine seat. The seat is heavily patinated, with deep grooves and wear from decades of active use. The entire chair sits over four splayed bamboo carved legs, all four of which tenon through the plank seat before being secured with a splint, each held firmly and perfectly in place with a bamboo carved H-stretcher. This is a most charming chair, in excellent condition with wonderful patina and character throughout- the early painted surfaces are probably not the original layers, but seem to protect earlier layers beneath, these quite possibly the earliest surfaces. A wonderful find for those that are passionate about fine windsor chairs. Measurements: Seat 13.5" wide x 14.5" deep. The seat sits 16" from the ground and the back of the seat is 33.5" high. Condition Report: Paint worn throughout. Probably not the original surfaces. Deep groves and losses in the plank seat. Chips and abrasions throughout. One nail, appears to be modern, on side of chair stabalizing hoop back. Plank seat split with a butterfly joint securing seat from beneath and two screws locking it in place. Chair is structurally strong, but could possibly be too weak to use functionally as a chair. Please review the images in the slideshow for a full overview of condition.

Exceptional and rare L&JG Stickley#814 high back chair in very nice original finish. It is over 100 years old and as you can see it has been extremely well cared for. This is a large and very impressive chair with great Arts& Crafts form. Measures 45-5/8" tall. 27-3/4" wide, and 21" deep. The seat cushion is 22-1/2" wide and 19" deep. As the brass plate on the arm shows, this chair was presented to Rev. Herbert Makenzie by the Gospel Church Baraca Class in 1912. That church is no longer in existence but the building still stands on Cedar Rd. in Cleveland, OH. Condition is excellent for a chair made over a century ago. There are two small chips on the post beneath the left arm(see closeup photo next to quarter) but otherwise just normal light surface wear and good original finish. Even the original leather ... morespring seat cushion is still intact. It has crazing to its surface but no tears. The L&JG signature stamp is located on the back side(see closeup photos) I have had this chair in my home for 20+ years and now it is for sale as I prepare to move and downsize. Antique 1905 Stickley Oak& Leather Mission Style Rocking Chair- ALL ORIGINAL! This is a beauty! Stickley 1905- 1908 rocking chair- all ORIGINAL. The leather is beautifully worn in- no rips or tears. I would say. The leather is stiff and dry. It is cracking in some areas. Especially the back of the leather on the back rest cushion. The seat is the most supple. The rest of the leather is not supple. Could use some leather conditioning. I left everything the way it is. I don't want to do any damage. One of the leather straps on top that hold the leather cushion in place. That goes over the top of the chair, is nearly torn all the way. I would not put the leather strap over the back and side down. I would be worried the strap would rip. BEAUTIFUL chair- great condition. Especially considering the age. The oak wood is also original excellent ... morecondition- has some small nicks here and there. But overall excellent! This has not been refinished. This Stickley rocker is a rare find! The worn leather is awesome- hard to believe it is over 100 years old! Would be great in a home or office- such a classic look! If you would like more close up pics or have more questions. The arms measure just shy of 40" Wonderful clip corner design to the arms as seen in the pics. The frame and structure of the chair is designed so the seat frame dips towards the back. It makes for a more comfortable sitting position. There are also 4 adjustments for the angle of the back too. The finish is recent as well as the leather cushions. Lifetime Arm Chair Mission Stickley Era Arts & Crafts
Up for your consideration is a Lifetime Arm Chair circa 1918. This is a fantastic example of a Lifetime model number 756 1/2 arm chair from their Puritan line. Lifetime was one of the last companies to introduce a new line of furniture at the end of the Arts and Crafts movement. The Puritan line was a very English Arts and Crafts design. This chair is upholstered in a nice fabric of a similar pattern to that of the catalog example. The true color of the fabric is more of a moss green than it is yellow. The finish is a wax overcoated ebonized finish. Dimensions are 37 1/2" high and the width is 26 3/8" at the arms. This item is local pick up only located in Walton. Stickley-style V-Back side chair with five vertical back slats topped by V-shaped crest rail. Leather seat shows its age but has no tears. All the tacks are there. Solid oak construction. No veneer. One of the front legs has a chip of wood gone from the top outside corner(see pictures) Worn finish looks original; the crest rail is lighter in color from usage or cleaning. Looks like it had metal feet. But only the little holes remain now. No breaks or splits anywhere—this is one solid chair! It would look fabulous with your oak library table or desk. I picked this up from one of my favorite auction houses very nearby in the Springfield area and going to try starting it at nothing so it is a real auction and to have fun. But I had to pay for it too. Please bid fairly and I got more good stuff. This is nice and as pictured signed Stickley. It measures about 36' tall x 18 1/2" wide x 18 1/2" deep and the seat is about 18 1/2" high. I tried to picture it well to both show it off a bit and answer some questions. I also tried to price it for good value in hopes of another happy customer and a quick sale so I can go find more stuff. Up for bids is this 1920's excellent all original including the nice dark finish Quaint Bros Stickley Bros Company form Grand Rapids Michigan Morris chair. This chair very tight and does not need any repair except one of the nail covers on the back is missing(see pic) The finish is dark but worn and there are a few large nicks to the wood. Stickley Brandt Walnut Chair
Charles Stickley and his cousin Schuyler Brandt formed the Stickley& Brandt Chair Company in 1891. They quickly became the largest furniture dealer in New York State. Selling a wide variety of furniture including ornately carved fancy rockers that were popular at the time. For short periods, John George and Leopold Stickley worked for the company. In 1909, Stickley& Brandt began making Arts and Crafts pieces like those made by Charles' brothers. Stickley& Brandt went out of business in 1918. This rare dining chair was likely produce very near 1900. It has styling from a number of influences; Queen Anne. Federal, Early American and Chippendale. Perhaps they were trying to be all things to all people. It has never been refinished and has its original caned seat. Antique 1912- 1914 Stickley Oak& Leather Mission Style Rocking Chair- ALL ORIGINAL! This is a beauty! Stickley 1912- 1914 rocking chair- all ORIGINAL. The leather is beautifully worn in- no rips or tears. I would say. The leather is stiff and dry. It is cracking in some areas. Especially the back of the leather on the back rest cushion. The seat is the most supple. The rest of the leather is not supple. Could use some leather conditioning. I left everything the way it is. I don't want to do any damage. One of the leather straps on top that hold the leather cushion in place. That goes over the top of the chair, is nearly torn all the way. I would not put the leather strap over the back and side down. I would be worried the strap would rip. BEAUTIFUL chair- great condition. Especially considering the age. The oak wood is also original ... moreexcellent condition- has some small nicks here and there. But overall excellent! This has not been refinished. This Stickley rocker is a rare find! The worn leather is awesome- hard to believe it is over 100 years old! Would be great in a home or office- such a classic look! If you would like more close up pics or have more questions. This is a beautiful and authentic Stickley Morris Chair. It is in Really good condition. No parts have ever being repair or change. Both Chair and foot stole come with Stickley shop marks. Have own this Chair for almost 20 years and the quality is outstanding. The leather is in almost perfect condition. Michigan chair company stickley era arts and crafts mag stand
Nice signed Michigan chair co magazine stand. Original finish with some light alligatoring. And fading to one side at the base. There is also light damage that is pretty much confined to one foot. See pics. Great wood selection with good color. Nice bold decal on the bottom with stenciled model number too. This is one of my favorite magazine stands with the keyed tenons, and the tapered bottom edge to the top. Very unique stand. Measures 33" tall. And the top is 16"x 16" Flat rate shipping will be $75 to the lower 48 states. I will have a custom box made for this after it is paid for. The box is dual walled and very durable.
