Now 500 will buy about 165 gallons. that surely means something. it is in perfect antique condition. it has the original finish and there are no damages that i can see. it is solid and sturdy and does not wiggle or wobble or squeak. it is perfect. the only thing that is not original is the seat. i expect that seat is about 40 years at least. the original seat may have been caned. this in my opinion is a one of a kind chair. i like one of kind pieces and have accumulated many one of a kind pieces. it is 38 inches tall, 18 inches wide across the front of the seat, the seat is 15 inches deep, and the top of the seat is a little over 13.5 inches off the floor. anyway, i have no use for the chair and just thought i would try to sell it. i am starting it at what i paid 20 plus years ago. it may be picked up at my hone or shipped at buyers expense. i expect it can go ups,usps, or fedex for probably 100.00. good luck. ps. if anyone has or has seen other oak slipper chairs i would be glad to see another one.

Here is a beautiful Victorian Slipper Rocking Chair with a unique asymmetrical Rose carving on the top. The exposed wood along the sides and arms is another unique touch that sets this chair apart. The pink upholstery is dirty and I am not sure if it is salvageable. Other than being dirty. The upholstery and pretty pink trim are in very good condition. I don't know anything about identifying furniture wood, but this looks like it is walnut or mahogany to me. The chair is very sturdy and does not wobble and seems to be very well made. The back of the chair is 35 inches high. The rise to the seat is 16 inches high. The seat is 16 inches wide and 18 inches deep. Probably for ... morea small chair that was part of her bedroom set but I don’t remember her using it. The chair cover seems to have been homemade. I photographed it over a small chair that I had. One which doesn’t have as high a back as the cover was made for. Chair is not included! The pattern of the skirt fabric looks to be more of a late 1940s design. The piping surrounding the seat area is brown patterned bark cloth. This chair cover is in good condition for its age(estimated to be over 60 years of age) and prior use. The cover was washed and now shows an uneven fading in the solid(rust colored) fabric(as can be seen in the photos) Plus“running” of its dye into the patterned skirt fabric in the back(see photo) The shade of the rust colored fabric varies somewhat according to the lighting. Looking deeper in dim light. Other than the fading and running of the dye. The fabric itself is still sturdy, with no holes, rips or tears. All seams are intact. Antique Victorian Carved Walnut Slipper Chair, Rococo, Needlepoint c. 1850-1860
For your consideration is this antique ornately carved walnut rococo parlor Victorian needlepoint(genuine hand stitched) petite slipper chair. It was made circa 1850 to 1860. It features a walnut wooden carved backrest adorned with gothic finials. The needlepoint seat is original with the seat itself featuring springs and padding for comfort. As stated this is a petite chair with the top of the seat measuring 14 inches from the floor. The chair measures 21 inches long by 20 1/2 inches wide and is 38 1/2 inches tall. The wood on this chair is solid walnut and is well preserved and cared for. There are minor portions of surface cracking on what appears to have been some sort of a varnish applied to the front legs. This doesn't affect the wood or quality of the chair. As this chair is in the age range of 150 years old plus. These minor imperfections ... moreadd to the authenticity of evidence of its true age. Vintage red velvet studded slipper chair, carved walnut
Breathtaking red velvet slipper chair adds instant elegance to any room. Beautifully-carved walnut back. Casters on two front legs. I purchased it in 2009 from a lovely woman who lived on a vineyard in northern California. As she emerged from the mist, she offered me tea and explained how she had just lovingly reupholstered it. I’ve kept it covered by a throw and maybe sat on it twice since. The underside of the seat has always needed a little stitching up, but that’s an easy fix that in no way compromises the beauty of the piece. Hate to part with it— just time for a change. Although there is some light wear to the fabric. Tapered legs with foot pads that appear to be made out of Bakelite. These"pads" are cut pieces of plastic that are not glued to the legs. Rather they are attached by pins. I had to use my 180 lumen headlight to see the pin, which looks like a small push pin, through the translucent plastic) Small hole in the seat fabric. Close to the front edge of the chair. It appears to be a cigarette burn, but the material is not charred. This hole is really the only flaw on the fabric. Mid Century Danish Modern Lounge Slipper Chair Kroehler McCobb style Royal Blue
Here is a great example of MCM styling. This chair is in good condition. It is 100% original. Fabric has good color with little to no fading. I know it looks great in some of the photos but it is a bit dirty and should be cleaned. I don't have a crevasse tool for my vacuum so couldn't reach some of the areas I've shown in a couple pics. There are a few pulls in the fabric(2 worst are shown in pic 11) but I've had much worse ones that I've been able to fix myself with some super glue. The 2 back legs are excellent. The 2 front ones show some flaking of the finish and a split in one leg. It does sit evenly and firmly without any wobbling, I'm 250lbs and 6'3" and sit quite comfortable in it. In fact I've been sitting in it out in the front yard while listing this afternoon, the neighbors have been looking ... moreat me kind of funny! The white line you see on the top back seam appears to be a tag remnant. The bottom fabric you see hanging down I've removed and tossed it since it's not repairable. Due to the age of the chair and the high shipping costs I'm going to sell this as-is with no returns. Shipping will most likely be via Fedex Ground.

This chair is stamped November, 1951 on the underside and its style is right out of the Dick Van Dyke Show! Designed for use as an accent in a bedroom or foyer it was never intended for rugged usage or excessive amounts of weight. The whitewash stained legs are in very nice condition albeit there is some scuffing; the vinyl itself is stunningly intact with almost no condition issues at all. Phoenix Chair company- signed circa 1925-1930 Slipper lounge chair- 32" deep 32" high 22.5" wide approx. This company ceased to exist in the mid to late 30's as it burned to the ground. Prior to this it was considered one of the greatest producers of high quality furniture in the United States. They had several designers work for them. But the records are exceptionally scarce and lost. Here is a chair from them circa 1930's in remarkable condition with a never before seen floral printed pattern on vinyl. We have not come across this style of floral vinyl before and it is probable the company had it made for a certain line of chairs. But as to who designed the floral pattern is unknown. Great smaller open arm slipper chair for your buying consideration. Recently picked this item up at an estate sale and the woman bought it 40 years ago used. Keep in mind that a slipper chair is much smaller than a traditional chair and the seat is closer to the ground. The mahogany frame is elegantly carved. Legs appear to be intact, I see no cracks or repairs. The bottom of the front legs have wheels that are in good working shape and the metal piece that hold the wood wheel to easily facilitate moving the chair around. Beautiful upholstery on this piece as well. I did nothing to clean it. Leaving that to the next owner. All I did was wipe down the piece. I do not see a lot of wear or dirt/staining to the upholstery that needs attention. very rare one of a kind antique quartersawn oak slipper chair
for sale is an antique quartersawn oak slipper chair. i have been messing with antiques as a hobby for nearly 50 years. this is the only slipper chair i have ever seen in oak. some of you may have seen a thousand. i bought this chair years ago and paid 500 for it them. at that time 500 would buy 700 gallons of gasoline. Now 500 will buy about 165 gallons. that surely means something. it is in perfect antique condition. it has the original finish and there are no damages that i can see. it is solid and sturdy and does not wiggle or wobble or squeak. it is perfect. the only thing that is not original is the seat. i expect that seat is about 40 years at least. the original seat may have been caned. this in my opinion is a one of a kind chair. i like one of kind pieces and have accumulated many one of a kind pieces. it is 38 inches tall, 18 inches ... morewide across the front of the seat, the seat is 15 inches deep, and the top of the seat is a little over 13.5 inches off the floor. anyway, i have no use for the chair and just thought i would try to sell it. i am starting it at what i paid 20 plus years ago. it may be picked up at my hone or shipped at buyers expense. i expect it can go ups,usps, or fedex for probably 100.00. good luck. ps. if anyone has or has seen other oak slipper chairs i would be glad to see another one.

Vintage Mid Century Modern Retro Eames Era KROEHLER Sitting Room Slipper Side Lounge Club Chair I believe it is from the 1950's. But could possibly be late 1940's or early 1960's. I have had this chair for some time now. And I absolutely love it! I really hate to see it go! After merging 2 households, we have too much furniture, and it just does not fit with the rest of our decor. This Vintage Mid Century Modern Kroehler Chair is all original. It still has the original fabric and all of the parts are original. The fabric does have some worn spots and a portion of of the seat fabric is worn(you can see the difference in the fabric where it has worn on the seat in photo#3) You may choose to have it recovered. But it would not be absolutely necessary, I can tell when I sit on the chair seat I can feel that the springs have aged.at ... moreleast one of the springs has"sprung" and is just not quite right. However, when examining the springs from the bottom of the chair, the springs all appear to be just fine. But you can clearly feel something that is not quite right when sitting on the seat. Again, not a major problem, the chair is fine as it is functional, sturdy and very comfortable. It doesn't need to be fixed right away, but I'm guessing it will need to be fixed at some point. It also has the original blonde wood legs, which are very sturdy and have no structural issues(no cracks or breaks) It still has it's original aluminum KROEHLER name plate on the bottom(photos 8& 9) the original factory tag, which reads, CHAIR 10-01279" photo 10) and writing on the underside from the factory(photo 11) The bottom of the chair has a piece of burlap separating the chair seat and the springs(photo 12) The burlap is a true testament to it's age! Measurements(please note that the measurements below are accurate to the best of my ability) Overall Height: 30.5" Tall Chair Back Width: 20" Seat Height: 15" Tall at the edge of the seat. 15-3/4" Tall in the middle of the seat.
