Very nice period correct 60's NOVA Danish modern gentleman's valet or butler chair. Known to be kept in the bedroom for hanging clothes, holding jewelry, watches, rings, etc. in the little trinket tray on top. Shows very minor age appropriate wear, very light faint marks on the tray, otherwise wood looks wonderful in a deep rich walnut typical of that time. Measures approx. 41" high, 18" wide, seat is 17" high. Great addition to anyone's mid century modern collection. This is a vintage vanity chair with metal scrolly legs that resemble ice cream parlor chairs. There is no cushion on this style of chair so it can be easily recovered if desired. The vinyl on the seat has one small slit and a small nick-see photos. The metal on the seat back has some paint loss on it-it looks like a dark gray metal that just blends. I did not realize there was any paint loss until very close inspection as it looks like the actual metal color. You can spray paint it if want it to be darker black but looks nice as is. Seat is 13 1/2 inches in diameter. Chair is 17 inches tall to seat and 24 inches tall to top of seat back. Distance between feet is 13 1/2 inches. A really nice vintage vanity chair. The chair dates to the Draper era and features French or Italian style combined with the ultimate of Hollywood Regency sophistication. The chair frame has subtle, graceful curves and slightly flared legs. The frame retains the original, cream(whitewashed) finish. There is a unique brass"handle" on the chair back. The back also features a carved design and a Greek Key accent in reverse relief on each side of the back. The fabric is original as well. Vintage Hollywood Regency Metal Vanity Stool Bench Chair Painted Silver, Pillow
Here is a vintage vanity bench. Stool, seat or chair. This one is large and is made of metal. It has been freshly painted silver and is much improved but there are a couple of places where the paint did not adhere perfectly. This is a very elegant bench. It was found without a pillow so I have added one from my collection. This is a fancy velvet pillow with a needlepoint center. I can remove it from the box if this is not your taste or decor-just let me know. Note that this bench is missing one of the rubber caps on the feet.
