This is a late 1700's Queen Anne chair. It appears to be comprised of mahogany and is in overall good. Solid condition for its age. This Queen Anne sofa and chair are unique in their SIZE. The sofa is 6' long and comfortable for napping. Chair is in good condition. Simply needs to be recovered. This chair is structurally all original. The rush seat is about 100 years old and is in fine condition. The surface is a great old late 19th century dark Mahogonized surface with traces of the original dark stained varnish still present. The natural rush seat dates to about the same time and is only the second seat. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY BOLD AND RARE CHAIR, NO REPAIRS TO THE FEET THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL. Minor losses. There is evidence of a mid 19th century addition of some iron rods to tighten the chair. these were removed before the chair was refinished in the late 19th century. I purchased this chair from my local bombay company store many years ago. i had to put it together and i think it just needs a little tighened. i have only had dolls sitting in it. it is a mahogany finish and is very elegant. This is a nice looking and comfortable Queen Anne style wing back chair. We double checked all joints and wood before sending this one to the upholstery shop recently. New upholstery covers this solid mahogany and maple core chair. Circa 1940 made by Hickory chair company. A great liking chair with its barrel like arms. We covered it in a high grade dark blue and gray fabric. The up close picture of the fabric is pretty accurate to what it looks like. Needs nothing but a home. Here is a stunning Craftique Queen Anne Arm Chair. This chair is solid Mahogany with Craftique Patina finish. The chair was completed on April 22. 1997 and is signed by former upholsterer, James McCall. The chair is in great condition, shows very little wear. Has rarely been used, upholstered seat is free of stains and holds it's original light ivory color. This is a rare chair from Craftique; they are not often seen. Good luck!
