The hand carved fruitwood frames feature the simple flowing carvings of the Louis XV taste. The exposed molded frame wrapping around the broad back to join with the upholstered arms, each curling into rounded handrests. The light white wash gives the fruitwood a fine clean appearance, with a soft distressing that gives it character. With a deep upholstered removable cushion on each chair, the broad frame and upholstered back, this is a very comfortable and truly functional chairs. They are sturdy and strong, ready for regular use in your home, but more importantly they are a truly wonderful compliment to classical decor. You'd say"Fauteuil" They were probably manufactured after the second world war, and are made of solid walnut. The upholstery is fairly new, clean and no pet or smoking odors. The seats have springs are nicely firm. The backs have a slight"crunch" to them, which makes me think they have horsehair in there somewhere. Nice old school materials. The pieces have all the curves and cabriolets of this particular style, and have bits of floral-motif hand carving on the crest, the knees of the front legs, and the center of the skirt. They are solid and sturdy- I can see one joint that looks like it may have been re-glued. There are no repaired splits. There are two odd circular pits in the back of one of the legs- very shallow, and the size of a collar button. Other than that, magnifique! Shipping is FREE in the USA. The black walnut frames date from the 1860s to 1870s and are very similar. Unless you look closely, you would never know they are not a match as the fabric dominates your eye. One chair has metal castors that are all original and the other chair has wooden castors that appear to be original. The gentleman’s arm chair is in nice condition and I don’t see anything wrong with it. The ladies chair is in good condition with a typical split in the seam in the back that we will tighten up prior to shipping. There are no metal bracing or any poor repairs to the chair.

I recently went to an estate sale. The church here had a home that they used to sponsor families from abroad. I'm not sure where this family was from. But they left in a hurry& instructed the church to sell everything. The house was full of stuff from Nepal, South Africa, etc. I had to go back every day, such cool stuff. Neither of the pieces have arms to facilitate sewing an item without it catching on an arm. The original brown leather, when replaced around 1985, revealed horsehair stuffing in the slightly padded chairs which has been retained over the new green leather. Vintage GIBSON Double Creme HUMBUCKING PICKUPS Pat number PAIR
I don't know which guitar these came from or their exact year. They are not T-tops. They have the pat number impressed on the backs. But no stamped dates or codes. My best guess is early to mid 80's but I really don't know. The bridge pickup(labeled"bridge" by a previous owner) reads 8.52 on an ohm meter and has 6.5 inches of braided wire. The neck pickup reads 8.23 and has 9.5 inches of wire. The bobbins have yellowed(more than it appears on the pics) and show wear. I don't think these pickups ever had covers on them. I do think they are a matched pair that came from the same guitar.

Beautiful antique pair of tape lace long curtain panels. 43" wide by 90" long. Off white in color. I think the what I believe to be tape lace fabric is made of cotton. They are quite heavy for lacy panels. They weigh 2 pounds unpacked. These curtain panels are very old and may have other flaws. There may be other small holes and/or spots that I did not see. Also there may be some threads that need trimming. I think the panels are beautiful for their age but I want you to know the panels may have flaws. They are uneven now could be because I air dried them hanging and that may have caused this. I laundered by hand and my hands aren't that big to wring out all the water. The weight of water and the hanging took it's toll. They were in disgusting condition when I purchased from estate sale, I had to launder. They measure 10" x 6 1/2" and have dual tracking ~ 4" wheels with 5 spokes. Everything seems to work properly. Each door is made of solid pine and has 15 windows. Unfortunately. 4 glass lites are missing. We could either custom cut pieces from our collection of old glass or we could order new glass lites(i.e. beveled. Tempered, leaded, stained, etc. and install them- email us for a quote. Although the doors were installed inside the house as interior doors. They could still be used as entry doors. Hardware: The doors come with all hardware shown in photos. However. RETRO WALL HANGINGS, GRAVEL ART, FOLK ART, FRAMED, PAIR
There must be a name for this kind of art. But for right now, I’ll call it framed retro wall hangings. These 2 pieces are done in various thicknesses and types of paper. Some pieces are shiny reflective. And some are textured. These pieces seem to be glued– as in a kit. To form abstract items such as trees, clouds, bridges etc. Everything is arranged on pressboard on which there are some printed items. Then the pieces are applied to fill in around the printed areas. The hay wagon is done with ground cork! The framed covered bridge has some gravel art and ground cork for the dimensional look. The trees are littered with shiny foils(see photos) Both of these pieces are framed in wood. And there is a mild twist, or torque, to each item. They will be easy to straighten out) These pieces were stored in a basement and have some yellowing from dampness; ... morehowever. They lack the basement‘odor’ To hang them you will need to apply a hanger hook or wire. I can ship this offering by Priority Mail in the States. He was a Great Man and Masterwork Artist and should receive all props due him.The Indians had such great respect for this Man this Incredible Artist that a Sioux Tribe adopted him and named him Long Boots. His Indian name is characterized by his mark under his signature. The mark is a circle within a circle and you'll find it on most all his paintings. No small feat. That is how close Farny believed he was with the Indian Nations. He was an incredible artist and this pair of Oil Paintings are attributed to Farny and are both beautiful and quite wonderful to view. EAPG Westmoreland Childs Toy Glass Pair of 3 cup Candelabra 1910 Candlesticks
Offered is a very nice EAPG set of 3 cup candelabra made by Westmoreland Glass Company in circa 1910. This set is a childrens toy set and are marked on the center cup with PATd APLd FOR. They were marked like this in 1910 when the designer George R. West applied for the patent. It was then approved on March. 21st, 1911 as D41,256. This is a wonderful set in excellent condition. They glow a nice green color when next to a black light, similar but not as bright as vaseline glass, also indicating their age. A rare antique pair of Boston& Sandwich pressed and blown 8" g lass c andlesticks with stepped quatrefoil bases; circa 1835- 1860. These candlesticks are shown in Volume 4 of The Glass Industry In Sandwich book. The Boston& Sandwich combinations of blown and pressed glassware from the early days show a simplicity of design which was difficult to match in the later all-pressed glass era. The three ring wafers hold the blown sockets to the pressed bases. There are small chips here and there on the steps and bottoms. One of the candlesticks has a chip on the bottom step near the edge that is about 3/8" The other has a larger chip on the bottom edge at the corner. The top blown sockets have no chips. Sometimes questions arise about what is"authentic" when it comes to mola material and construction. The Kuna women love to use polyester or other man made fabrics for their own use. Those materials are long lasting and soft against their skin. Besides that. They ... moretend to like the shiney look of some of the man made materials. Many Western buyers prefer 100% cotton. Thinking that it is more authentic. That is not necessarily so today. When I am shopping I try to buy cotton as much as possible, but only because many of my customers prefer that, not because that is more typical of the Kuna's own preferences. Most molas are still completely hand made and I do try to buy mostly hand made items. However. When the Kuna ladies have the option to use a sewing machine, they will do so. Many of the islands now have a generator and will have electricity for a few hours after dark. A very few women have a basic electric sewing machine and a few more have a tredle or hand crank sewing machine. For their own use they love to be able to do some of the long, straight stiching on a machine when they can. It makes the sewing faster and often stronger. Remember, molas are the everyday clothing of the Kuna women and girls. When you buy a mola, you are buying part of a woman's used clothing.
