These are authentic Cassina ... morepieces. They were a special order for an architecture firm. They have real sage green suede on them. This is not the cheap ultra suede. This is real leather. Overall they are in great shape. Frames are solid. Both pieces are engraved under the left arm with Corbusier's signature and serial number. Also under the seat the black decking is embossed with the Cassina logo(see pic) The only thing I noticed on them was two faint pen marks on the chair. You don't notice them unless you get real close! I researched how to clean real suede online and it said don't use any chemicals at all. It suggested sanding them lightly with sandpaper. I will leave that up to the new owner should they decide to do it. But like I said it is very faint and not really noticeable. As for shipping these will need to go either with Plycon or Craters and Freighters. Email me your address and I should be able to get you a quote. Local pick up is fine too. This groovy pair of mid century lounge butterfly slip chairs is an awesome find. They are believed to be Knoll Hardoy. But are not labeled. The covers are original and should be replaced. New covers cost about $25 each. You can find them all over Ebay. The frames are great and show very little wear. They are very solid frames. The canvas covers work. But should be replaced. 36 inches tall 34 inches deep 24 inches wide It is very difficult to find an original pair of these chairs from the midcentury and these are in great condition just needing new covers.

Clean, as found, ready to use condition. Chairs show only normal signs of normal well cared for use and age. But considering these chairs are approx 50 yrs old I would say they are very nice. Chairs are upholstered in original golden orange cloth upholster. Chairs also have original attached headrest pillows as only found on the earlier production chairs. The only real flaws I can find is that a couple spots of stitching on the vertical lines are worn(see photos) very minor and does not detract from function or appearance of chair and although it looks great the aluminum could probably stand a little polish in spots. They have been in the current owners care since that time. The general condition is commensurate with age with no damage or marring. The polished stainless steel frame. Upholstered cushion and cowhide straps are all original. Some stretching is evident in the cowhide support straps. One strap has been professionally repaired and new press-stud attachment fittings were installed on both cushions. Here is a pair of iconic"Coconut" Chairs by George Nelson designed in 1955. They were first manufactured by the Herman Miller Furniture company in Michigan from 1955 to 1964. Vitra has been producing the“Coconut” since 1988. These chairs were manufactured by Vitra in Germany and distributed by Herman Miller. Inc. They both have the Vitra factory label. George Nelson made a memorable symbolic statement that introduced a new. Deliberately easy-going type of sitting. He found a crucial impulse for his shapes in the expansive gestures of popular fifties art such as Joan Miró, and Alexander Calder. In the original version, the shell looked like a coconut and consisted of a piece of bent steel with foam rubber padding available in artificial leather, fabric, or leather upholstery. The frame was made of a piece of steel tube bent ... morealong the length of the shell for the two front legs, with a second piece for the back legs, whereby the legs which stuck out were stabilized additionally by welded crossbars. Thus, the frame seemed to stretch across a floating curved form and to be attached to the floor. RARE Pair Florence Knoll Slipper Lounge Chairs Mid Century Modern Walnut Legs
Fantastic Pair of Florence Knoll Slipper Chairs c.1960's The listed price is for 2 chairs. Both chairs are in great condition. The fabric on one chair at front corner has some very light soiling(I did some spot cleaning but have not had them professionally cleaned- see photo) Some scratches on legs(mainly on sides- see photos) I was told by the original owner that they were reupholstered in the eighties. The foam in the cushions is still firm yet soft and comfortable. Being persnickety. I would mention that the front corners of the chairs are not as stiff as they could be- if you sit on the corner edge of a chair or press it down you'll see a little wrinkling(see photo) I also included a closeup of a back corner where the welting may have rubbed up against something and isn't as neat and tidy as the other edges. The wool around ... morethat spot is slightly fuzzy, too. This slight defect I also mention for the great perfectionist. In my opinion. The upholstery is in excellent condition for its age. It appears to be wool and is a wonderful neutral. I do not know if it is Knoll fabric. Another slight mentionable is that the back of one of the chairs has a slight wiggle if you push it back and forth. There was probably a quarter inch of movement that I only even bring up against the potential qualm of a fussy customer. In moving. My husband noticed it. It does not in any way affect the use of the chair and is not noticeable with typical use. There are some scuffs on the legs and uneven color on the slim rounded wood back trim. They have been in my house for years and I have not had them cleaned so you may want to do that- you know how velvet dents and gets little scratches that needs to be moved or washed out. They are literally NEVER sat in so the cushions are in great condition. On the back of one chair there are some faint marks lines from the velvet being crushed. The seat cushions and back cushions have metal zippers so are removeable. I do not know if this is the original upholstery. I bought them 4 years ago from an impeccable waterfront estate- the sort of home that had 1950's lamps with their original shades still in great condition. I have more close up pictures that I would be happy to send to you upon request. I am happy to work with the shipper of your choice and most often available during the day time for their pickup. This is a vintage mid century modern pair of chairs. It is a blue turquoise tweed. Great shape. They have wood arms and a wood piece along the top back of the chair and wood pin legs. They measure 34" tall 30" wide and 31" from back to front. It is 16" from floor to seat. Chairs are clean but I always suggest doing a steam clean. The wood is a very rich color.
