Vintage Pair of 1930's Nemmer Furniture Co. Deco Club Chairs with Ottoman
This is an AMAZING pair of barrel shaped. Ribbed club chairs and ottoman made by the Nemmer Furniture Company of Buffalo, N.Y. in the 1930's. I have seen an ad specifically for these chairs dated from 1934. There was also a matching sofa which I don't have, and the original colors were a bright blue and bright red- very much primary colors. Though a matching set from the same suite, each chair is slightly different in the upholstery details with piping and pleating. These chairs are the ultimate in Art Deco furniture! Both chairs still have the identifying Nemmer brass tag on their backs signifying that the mohair fabric is original(though not in the best shape) The fabric is faded and has wear. Great pair of mid century club chairs with hairpin legs. The measure 28" high at the back. 35" wide at arms, 32" deep and 16" high at the seat. They are covered in a lavender vinyl I believe. The arms have some minor wear and there are a few nicks here and there but overall they are in pretty good condition. Very sturdy and comfy. Also one of the chairs has a tear at the back bottom about 3”1/4(please see photo#12) that can be easily repaired. Each chair measures 31” H. 37” W from arm to arm, 31” D at the side of the chair, the seat is 22” D and 15” H from the seat to the ground. The cushion of each chair can be switched on the leather side or the brown velvet side(as you can see in the photos) Due to the size of the chairs they will be shipped via Central Freight Lines.
