We used the original cushions for exact sizing and had them replaced. Also new upholstery and strapping, the fabric is MCM faint pattern muted mellow yellow color which we had done from a well known vintage restoration furniture dealer in San Diego CA. Pair Vintage Slipper Lounge Chairs Mid-Century Modern Hollywood Regency
You get the pair. I don't see a name tag but they are well made and vintage from probably the 1950's to 1960's. The cushions are on real springs-not the newer knock offs on plywood and thick foam. They could be designer pieces as they came from the same estate as the Jens Risnom and Girsberger chairs that I have just listed. These are sound and solid with no holes or tears to the original fabric. Fabric is quite thick and durable and rather a golden yellow color. Seat height is 16 1/2" in the front-14 1/2" in the back-so they set an angle and you just sort of lean back into them. Cushioning is still in good shape and they set comfortable. Seat width is 24 1/2" with a depth of 22" Back height is 33" They are pretty clean but you might want to hit them with some upholstery cleaner. To do so I need to remove the staples from the dust liner on the underside to get to the nuts and bolts that hold the legs on. They just bolt right back on with wing nuts for the front and nuts for the rear legs. Upholstery will stay tight as that is on with small nails. Some wear to the mahogany stain finish but not a lot. One chair has rips along the upper corners of the upholstery and one on the seat. For sale is a pair of Emeco all aluminum Hudson chairs designed by Philippe Starck. I believe these were first designed in 1999 and these appear to be of that vintage. The chairs have a great industrial or machine age look. I have a total of two pairs(4 chairs) for sale. The chairs are very sturdy and stylish. They are a few years old and have been used so they do have defects(see photos) They show wear marks and scratches from being stacked and unstacked(see photos) but we have used them in their present condition. They are clearly marked Emeco by Starck and still retain the original foot glides. The chairs measure: seat 15 1/2" wide by 16" deep and 17 1/2" off the ground- the back is 17" wide and 14" high- overall the chair stands 32 1/2" tall. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING PAIR OF OLD CHAIRS! We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of antique. Early 20th century, French chairs. These charming arm chairs are in original condition with no updates. They feature lovely(and very quality) fabric upholstery in a white linen/cotton with large, French blue(with a slight silver tone) flowers and leaves. The fabric is tufted on the backs with the seats smooth. The seats are quite wide and deep and have a curved contour in the front sections. The frames, legs and trim are wood. The backs have an inset of cane with deep wood trim. The wood has a pecan finish in a medium brown tone. It is not too grainy so I am guessing it to be a walnut or maple wood. The front legs are contoured with a lovely, elephant ear and trunk silhouette carving(very subtle) The chairs are extremely well constructed and very ... moresturdy. They are in very good antique to older vintage condition. There are some nicks in the wood and some minor evidence of age and use. There is one area of minor separation on the back cane of one chair. The fabric is very good with no areas of wear through or rips, tears, etc. There is one small area of slight staining on the seat of one chair. It is subtle and very difficult to see except upon close inspection. The chairs are elegant and quite lovely. The chairs measure 31" tall. They are 29" wide at the widest seat measurement. A very Gothic looking design. They are worked in a mixture of wool and silk threads. The camera had terrible trouble capturing the colours and the photos do not do them justice. The red is quite bright and the blue I would say is electric blue. I think the close up photos show the colours more accurately. In the 1st photo. ... moreThe left hand panel is 26 inches high(66 cm) and at the widest part 26.1/4 inches(67 cm) The right hand panel is 25 inches high(63.5 cm) and 21 inches at the widest part(53.5 cm) CONDITION. As they have never been used. They are in very good condition. There are no stains. One of the panels has a small section of red which was not completed. On the left hand panel. there are a couple of missing stitches and a few that are a bit fluffy. On the right hand panel. There is a small area of blue that was not finished(see photo) and also about 6 missing stitches. The shape of the panels is determined by the red needlepoint. So they could be altered by adding additional red stitches. They would make up into two stunning cushions. POSTAGE. Unfortunately. Postal charges increased here again in April. Rare PAIR 40s WALTER LAMB vintage original bent triple large gague bronze chairs From a recent Honolulu estate sale. We're offering a unique opportunity for the Walter Lamb collector. It's exceedingly rare to find a single example of one of these 1940's era original bronze chairs in the triple tube bent rattan style lounge chair. Let alone to find a pair of them together. These chairs were ahead of the their time- the use of recycled tubing from the ships in Pearl Harbor was a stroke of brilliance by Lamb. And led him to sell his designs to Brown Jordan in the 1950's. Measuring 24" wide. 31" tall and 32" deep, these are heavy items, weighing in around 75 pounds each. The finish is a well worn verge gris patina over bronze tubing. They have an interesting overall form, the edges of the chair rising softly to create a soft frame for the chair. This"hiprest" design creates a warm effect to what could otherwise be a rather square side chair; it turns the entire chair into an outstanding lounging chair for beside the fireplace or opposing a sofa in a formal sitting room. A very unique and rare(likely one-of-a-kind. Artisan-made) pair of corner chairs with caned seats and caned rounded backs. They have overtones of Dutch Colonial"Burgermeister" chairs and some French influence as well. The rounded backs have a slightly rolled edge and are supported at three corners with thin, turned spindle legs. The two backs of the chairs are supported by four"S" shaped vertical slats. Each chair has a spindle"X" base support structure as well. They are constructed of hard wood and the original hand caning, which needs repair.
