Vintage 1968 Round Oak Brunch Table and Four Oak Rolling Dining Chairs
This auction is for a vintage Oak"Brunch Table" and four matching Oak rolling chairs. This is all in used condition. But details are listed below. The table's measurements are 43 3/4" across. 25" tall, and 34" long base feet. The table is in very good shape and is fairly stable. But does wobble a bit when pushed on. However, we do live in a very unsettled house and it could be our floor. It's worth mentioning, though. It's made of a beautiful oak, and is stamped on the underside as a"brunch table. It's a fairly short table, and features a very intricate, and possible hand carved, four leg system, which has been pictured. There is a cup ring on top of the table. Note: The oil lamp and deer antlers are not included with this listing. They are just a display piece. Also, the discoloration of the ... moretable in the picture where said pieces have been moved aside is from me being too impatient to properly dry off the table after noticing a smudge. There are no such streaks usually. There are four chairs included and each one is 17" floor to the seat. 28 1/2" floor to the top of the back, with a 22" wide x 18" deep seat. Two of them have no dates stamped on them. One is stamped May 3rd, 1968 and the last is stamped with April 9th, 1968. I don't know why they feature different dates. Each chair is in very good shape and roll very well. They do each squeak when rolling while sitting in them, but that should be able to be oiled up and eliminated. They appear to be upholstered with a leather like product. I'm not sure if it is genuine leather or not. I'll leave that at that. SHIPPING: We are not offering shipping on this item. It has Barley twist legs and self-enclosed leaves/extenders. It is in excellent condition. The chairs have only been recovered. But the finish is original to our knowledge(we've owned these pieces for over 40 years) Extending boards are in perfect working order. The table measures 40" wide and just under 64" long. TIGER OAK ANTIQUE DINING TABLE / 6 CHAIRS COMFORTABLY SEATS 12 BEAUTIFUL
Up for sale today is a beautiful antique tiger oak dining table and six chairs. This table was purchased in the late 1800's/early 1900's by either my great great grand fa ther or my great grandfather(they had the same name) who lived near Chicago. Illinois. This one comfortably seats 12 and will seat more if you care to get closer. I do not know if the chairs are original to the table. They do match and they are the only chairs I have ever seen with the table, but I was not around in the 1800's. The table is in wonderful condition as it has always been used with the original. Thick table pads protecting it and a table cloth over that. My family ha ve always been non-smokers. So there are no burn marks or yellow marks. The table needs a good cleaning, that is all. The chairs show more wear as they don't have protection like ... morethe ta ble. They are still used daily. The cushions have been replaced over the years and are now a fruit pattern. The last picture is of the store label holding the table for my great great grandfather(or great grandfather) This label is still in place under the table top. The table was purchased at Carson Pirie Scott& Co. This is an expanding table with four 10" leaves for adjusting t he size. At it's smalle st. The table is 54" round. At it's largest. It is approximately 94" long. The pads are made in sections so fit whatever size you wish the table to be. Pictures show the table at its smallest. Its largest, and also with three leaves in place. The mechanics for adjustment work smoothly. There are wheels on the base of the table and it rolls easily. Please look carefully at the pictures. This table is well over 100 years old. In my opinion. It shows very minimal wear for its age, but it is not"like new" Please keep in mind that the chairs, having been used for these many years, show much more wear than the table. The arm chair is slightly different than the side chairs but it goes so well with them that we are including it in the set. All of the chairs have been recently refinished and re-glued so they are very sturdy. The side chairs still retain their original leather seats. There is wear to them but are still very usable as is. The arm chair has been recently recovered to match. The side chairs could be easily recovered if desired but we decided to keep the seats original. Oak Dining Set, Heavily Carved, European French Country-Table and 6 Chairs
First off. We are not furniture dealers. This beautiful antique set has graced our home for over 20 years. Time goes by and we are downsizing, so it's important to us that this set end up with someone who will appreciate its beauty and respect its workmanship as much as we do. We bought this set as a favor to a friend. We do not know how old it is or where it was manufactured. Dealers selling similar pieces on Ebay have used the description Vintage French Country. What we do know is that this piece is very well built. It's all tongue and groove. This set is solid oak with a medium finish. The parquet top is solid. Not veneer. The piece is heavily carved with gorgeous detail. The legs are curved with carved detail. Pictures do not do this set justice. The flaws mentioned are mostly hardly noticeable. We mention the bumps and bruises ... moreso that somebody is not expecting a flawless set. However we highly encourage personal inspection of these items to see for yourself. The dining room set consists of: Dining Table with 2 built-in pull-out extensions and 4 chairs. Extensions slide under the table top when not in use. Table top is solid parquet. Dimensions are: Length 62 1/2" Total Extended Length 108 1/2" 9 ft long) Width 35" Height 30 3/4" 6 Chairs 19" to the seat. Back 40" tall. Carved detail on chair back and front legs.
