These oak chairs, 5 side chairs and 1 arm chair, have brown pleather seat covers which are usable in"as is" condition, and they are in very nice condition for their age, with no major scratches or staining to the finish, only the character marks one would expect with loving use over time. The five side dining chairs measure 36 inches tall by 18 inches wide by 20 1/2 inches deep. Front to back. The seats are 18 inches wide narrowing to 14 1/2 inches wide across the back and measure 16 inches deep front to back with a seat height of 18 inches. The arm chair stands 37 inches tall by 22 inches wide by 21 inches front to back, with a seat measuring 18 inches wide at the front(between the arms) narrowing to 15 inches across the back, and 16 1/2 inches deep, front to back, also with a seat height of 18 inches. Antique Oak Dining Room Set - Table and 6 Chairs and beautiful large Hutch
This is a truly beautiful dining room set. The table and hutch and all 6 chairs are solid oak and are from the early 1900s. All pieces were refinished several years ago and have very little use. The table is 42"x42" and has a 34" wide leaf set that extends the table to a full 76" long and is very solid. The table has some very nice intricate legs and structure underneath. There are 4 matching chairs and 2 matching captains chairs. All 6 chairs have beautiful matching cane bottoms. The cane was replaced at the same time they were refinished. The hutch was in very bad condition when I bought it in the mid 70s. It is 84" x 84" The base was totally rebuilt and has 2 repaired doors and 6 drawers with new slide mechanisms. The top can be removed for moving. I will sell separately($600 for the table or hutch) or together ... morefor $1000 firm. The table is quite stable and expands easily, although not terribly smoothly. I have two leaves that I purchased separately from the table. They fit fine, but their finish did not match the table when I purchased them and I have never gotten around to the simple job of refinishing them; in one of the photos, you can see that the two leaves are darker than the rest of the table. We often expanded the table using one or both of the leaves and covered the top with a tablecloth. The table is 27.5” high and measures 42” x 42” without the extra leaves. The table is inlaid with this pretty wood in squares that blend together nicely. There is one leaf that adds 18 inches to the length of the table. Without the leaf. The table is 42 inches square. So the full length is 60 inches. The chairs are all conveniently on casters so you can move around in them easily. They are upholstered in a very pretty blue fabric known as Prussian blue. Country French" 1930s Belgian Oak Dining Room Table. Six(6) Chairs, and Buffet This is a beautiful and elegant table. Chairs and buffet that features hand carving on each piece and the table top has a patterned inlay. It is in very good to excellent condition. The elegant and large buffet measures 98" long x 38" high x 20" deep. It has 4 drawers in the center with a locking cabinet(with key) on each side. Inside the two cabinets are two levels for storing china. Silverware, and many other serving pieces. The four drawers are adequate for storing linens, trivets, hot pads, and other flat items. The doors, drawer fronts,legs, and top back all feature hand carving. There is a plate rail on the top of the buffet. There are six chairs that feature woven seats and hand carving. The table(unextended) measures 58" long x ... more36" wide x 30" high. When the table extensions are in place(they are concealed underneath and pull out) The table measures 102" long x 36" wide x 30" high. The table legs feature hand carving, and the top has an inlaid parquet pattern(see photo) The table top does have a minor blemish toward one end, but we have not felt it to be significant in contrast to the overall beautiful workmanship. These pieces dates from the 1930s. It is solid oak. They were made in Belgium. Antique Early American Oak Dining Room Set Table Chairs Buffet Sideboard & Hutch
Being offered for sale. Is an early American oak dining room furniture set. The set is comprised of a dining table. 6 chairs, a sideboard/ buffet, and a hutch. Below is more detailed information as it pertains to each piece: Table: There is a maker's mark on the inside of the table which reads. B. Walter& Co. Inc. U.S. Patent No. 1736533 26229 Wabash, Indiana. I did not find a maker's mark on the sideboard or hutch so I can't say for sure if they came from the same manufacturer. The top of the table just lifts off. Perhaps was secured at some point. Would be simple to re-secure. Just a few nails/ screws. There are 2 hidden leafs on each side of the table. They pull out and raise up, or push down and retract into the table's body. With the leafs retracted into the body the table measures approximately 62" long, 38" ... morewide, and 30 1/2" tall. Each leaf adds another 17" in length to the table. Which means it can be made to extend up to 96" 8 ft in length. Chairs: There are a total of 6 chairs. One of the chairs has significant damage(broken dowel) Which the rest have light- moderate wear. Structurally, 5 out of the 6 of them are fine. The seats definitely need to be replaced/ re-fabricated though. One of the six chairs is a captain's chair. Sideboard: The sideboard measures approximately 66" wide. 36" tall, and 20" from front to back. It has ornate scrolling on it which matches that of the designs on the hutch. There is a light crack on the front right corner(can be seen in the photos) The doors stick a little bit and could be adjusted slightly. Hutch: The hutch measures approximately 62" tall. 38 wide, and 17" from front to back. The original handles are missing for the drawer on the bottom portion so I put a couple of pulls in their place. The chairs are a classic period style in solid oak. Including the two end chairs having classic winged backs and armrests-unlike the 4 on the sides. The pads included are in a red maroon with a non-stick surface to keep them to the chairs(see certain close up photos for pad color) There has been some(cleanable) residue left on certain chair seats from the non-stick treatment stuff on the seat pads. Set of EIGHT Antique Rush-Seated Oak Dining Chairs
When I had these chairs appraised. The dealer said that based on their construction, the type of screw on the undersides, etc, that they were probably made in the 1890s. I think they are closer to the 1920s, based on the house they come from. They are in entirely original condition. They have had no repairs or alterations. They remain sturdy. They need cosmetic attention: refinishing or painting. Re-rushing on at least three of the seats. One of the chairs has a big chip at the base of one of the legs. Vintage Oak Dining Room Table and Chairs made in Pigeon Forge Tennessee!!
This is a gorgeous Oak Dining Table and Chairs. Features a Golden Oak Bear Claw Foot Round Table and four chairs. Two of the chairs are missing the front bottom cross braces as seen in photos. At one time table top bear claw base had to be reinforced with cedar planks of the same dimension as the oak one and can be easily replaced if need be. Has one crack in the table top joint which can also be reinforced. All chairs have some wobble and need to be reinforced as well. Overall is in good shape and needs a loving home. There are repairs made to the leg joins of the chairs, as some of the old adhesive dried and loosened the runners. After all, it is about fifty years old. Circa 1910 Oak Barley Twist Dining Chairs.
An attractive set of circa 1910 oak barley twist dining chairs. These chairs feature a decoratively carved top rail. The chairs come with a traditional drop in seat pad which was recently reupholstered and in a tapestry style design. All chairs are sturdy. And would be ideal for a small dining room, or to add to an existing set of chairs.
