I have searched and searched and cannot find a picture of one identical to it. to turn back to ahigh chair you just lift and it locks automatically. fantastic condition as you can see by the pics, a little dusty. Beautiful oak folding high chair or rocking chair. This high chair is in wonderful original condition. And has the clever design that it has been built with that will permit the chair to be adjusted up and down making the chair into a rocker when in the lowest position and the high chair in the upright position. The rattan/wicker seat/backing is in great condition, no broken pieces. Approx. measurements: When the chair is fully extended it is 40" tall, folded it is 27" This piece dates to 1900 and there are no markings on it. The tray is also missing but it still makes a great little chair. I'm sure the spindles could use a bit of tightening up.

I purchased 2 old chairs from estate and he tells me that one of them certainly came from Buckingham Palace. He knew someone who worked there and it was given to them. Made of solid oak, 2 metal wheels at the front. No cracks seen. Some wear, dents, scratches ect. Chair joints are very dry and need regluing. It is in good shape for it's age with only minor issues. It is pretty sturdy but I would not suggest that this be used on a regular basis. It was not made to be sat in by people that are as big as we are these days. It is very well carved. It measures 36 inches tall and 14 inches wide. The seat measures 18 inches off of the ground. And is 14 inches deep and 14 inches wide. The back rest measures 18 inches tall off of the seat. This is a great chair that will display well in any home. I don't know the exact age of the chair but I would think it is from the late 1800's to early 1900's. As it sits now the seat hight is 14 inches from the floor and the overall hight is 30 inches to the top of the chair. The seat is 14 inches across and 13 inches front to back. I have only seen one other of these chairs in 22 years of collecting and dealing Arts& Crafts. I believe this is Shop of the Crafters. The original untouched fumed finish is 95+% and this has the original Oil cloth seat with the original hand wrought tacks. This is precisely how I got it from an estate today. There are a few minor things I want to mention for accuracy. There is a natural split on the bottom of the back foot, there was a split on one lobe of the side of the clover cutout on top and a small split on the side of the seat, all of which is easily fixable. Vintage Ranch Oak chair Brandt Co. 1950's Southwest "Heavy Oak"
This vintage Ranch Oak chair is from the 1950's made by the Brandt Co. out of Texas. It has that great aged patina from the many years of family use. This furniture is quality golden oak and made right by Americans. The arms alone are 25 inches long by 4 1/2 inches high and 2 inches across the top. Chuck Norris would even have a tough time breaking this chairs' arm. The cushions covers will need updating. The white wax finish in the grain was part of the character when delivered from the company and was sold in quarts by the Brandt especially for waxing these blond Ranch Oak pieces. Karpen Black Wash Quarter Sawn Oak Upholstered Rocking Chair
Original patina black wash or fumed finish on this dramatic early 1900's rocking chair. Attributed to the furniture manufacturer Karpen based on its purchase with a labeled Karpen piece(not included in this sale) of identical material. Finish, and design. Original leather upholstry had worn, so the chair has been reupholstered using synthetic materials. Original large semi-circular brass tacks on the top of the rocker back were reused. Some gluing will be necesary to tighten the left arm joint in this otherwise well made piece of furniture. A very confortable, substantial rocking chair. This rolltop is unusual in that the interior adjusts to fit computers and there is a place for computer accessories in the left compartments rather than have them take up space on your valuable work space. Cords easily are hidden from view with convenient openings within the desk. I have used this desk with both a laptop and old fashioned large desktop computer. There are also two pull out boards. One on each side, for extra work area. 11 drawers in the roll top for convenient storage of everything you need and 3 large drawers on the right side of the desk already set up with built in wood particians for pens, etc and built in file folder racks. Solid and sturdy chairs that have remained in excellent condition, especially considering their age. They should probably be re-upholstered as there are some stains and some of the fabric is wearing away. I tried to get pics of this. Also, there was a repair to one of the chairs. See pics.
