This antique Arts& Crafts Stickley cube chair is a fabulous find! It is quite large. Heavy and is made of wonderful quarter sawn oak. Description: This is a superb antique Stickley very large cube chair. It dates from the early 1900s Mission and Arts& Crafts period and is in excellent condition. The piece is made of superb quarter sawn oak with the original finish. The piece has an excellent cube form that is big and bulky with arms that are 1" thick. It features very large slats on the sides and back. The arms. Sides and posts have pinned through tenons. The chair has the Stickley Quaint plate underneath and the numbers 808 1/2 or 908 1/2 stenciled on the underside. The seat cushions are covered in leather or faux leather. There are a couple of very small scratches barely noticeable on the bottom leather cushion. I just flipped ... moreit over as both sides are usable. This chair is a rare. Vintage 1950s Solid Oak Chair, Courtroom, Home, Office, School Mid Century Jury
Vintage Solid original Oak Chair in very good condition. Six(6) slat back. Small wood buttons on curved supports on each side of the chair. Stretchers intact for this solid sturdy mid century chair. Made in America. But I could not locate a makers tag. 34.5" inches chair height 18 1/4" inches seat width 16" inches seat depth 18" inches from seat to floor The chair is solid and has not been repaired. Refinished and does not wobble. I have included extra photos of the chair seat to show the minor scratches on the chair sides. I have not cleaned or polished the chair. The finish is original. lemon oil or old english would probably quench the dry scuffs for extra beauty. I hope this helps. Item 1606. Very nice vintage wooden Oak Bustle Chair. The bench is in very good condition. It does have light scuffs. But no deep scratches. I have not done any refinishing. The best I can tell it is all original. There is one small area where the top layer of the wood has been worn away. Not really to bad. It is still solid with no cracks in the wood. It measures 21" x 15 1/4" and stands an overall height of 18" There are no makers marks and I have not been able to identify it's maker. This a very nice vintage piece. It has a metal pedestal base that can adjust up and down with a metal adjustment wheel. And four spindle legs with wheels. The metal components have been painted black. The wheels have been replaced at some point in its life(see photos) It has solid oak arms, a wide solid wood seat, and a tall spindled back, with a solid quarter sawn oak top. We purchased it from a family in our local area by Detroit Michigan. this chair has a double large press and spindles. The bentwood arms are beautiful. All that is needed is a good cleaning and polishing. The cane is very serviceable and the rock sits very well. The rocker measures 39" tall by 21" wide and is 18" up from the floor to the seat. The press carving pieces are 8 1/2" in height. The seat itself is 20 1/2" wide by 18" deep. There are no cracks or breaks to report that we have found.
