EMPIRE ROLLED ARM LIBRARY CHAIR WITH HONEY BEE UPHOLSTERED SEAT For sale is this Circa 1830's Empire rolled arm mahogany Library Chair with a crocthed mahogany veneer back rest and Honey Bee Upholstered seat. The chair is 24 1/4" long. 21 1/2" wide(deep) has a 15" high seat and is 34 1/2" tall to the back rest's top rail. As we mentioned in the condition decription there is some very tiny veneer bubbles on the back rest. They were too small to even get a photograph of. The seat was recently rebuilt and has a lovely Honey Bee embroidered upholstery on it. The fabric is clean and has no condition issues. This is a very low to the ground chair but its legs are absolutely original and have not been altered in anyway. The chair is tight and strong with no break or repairs to its frame. CHILD'S ANTIQUE CARVED HEART SHAPE MAHOGANY ROCKING CHAIR~FLOWERS & LEAVES
This is a fabulous Antique Child's Rocker with beautiful thick carved relief. It is from the Art Nouveau or turn of the century time period. 1890's to 1910) Solid Mahogany with beautiful burled background. The top is heart shaped and like its Victorian roots. Double carved on top of the heart with leaves and flowers. The chair has had a couple of minor repairs over its 115 plus years. We mention for accuracy in listing as there are no breaks or cracks visible at this time to report. The rocker is very sturdy and ready to hold a small child, doll or bear. The finish appears to be original and only needs a good polishing. The Rocker measures 30" tall by 19" wide by 14" deep. The bottom of the rocker measures 23" long. Absolutely beautiful. This little chair is beautifully carved. Hand tacked, beautiful upholstery, just gorgeous! 17.5" tall. The seat is 9" wide in front, 7" wide in back. 10" high to the seat. It is in pristine original condition. I believe the wood is mahogany. This is a nice decorative piece. I wouldn't actually use it for children to sit on. This set consists of two arm chairs and four side chairs. They chairs are unmarked. But I believe they are the Carolina Chippendale chairs, made by Hickory Chair Company from their James River collection. They are probably 30 to 40 years old and have minor scuffs, consistent with age. The upholstery has a few small stains, but no tears in the fabric, and they could be used as-is. These chairs were made for many years and can still be found on the company's web site.

It is. I think, just a stunning chair. Understated and elegant. I suspect it's circa 1940s, but can't be certain. The chair has a lovely grain and appears to be primarily solid mahogany, except the center backsplat is veneered- with a beautifully figured wood- I think a burl mahogany, but I'm not certain. The ... morefinish appears to be original(it has a wonderful color and patina! The faded green velvet covering covers an older, pink brocade over a padded wood slat seat. There is no visible maker's mark. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. It is just a beautiful chair. The finish is in nice condition. With nicks and superficial scratches. I think the velvet looks perfect as it is- showing age and some charming fading, but with no damage. Structurally, it's nice, solid and level and without wobble or play. I see no evidence of any damage or prior repair. A NOTE ON CONDITION: Please bear in mind that vintage/antique items will show wear and imperfections acquired through the years. But this adds to their charm and character. Dimensions: All measurements are approximate. Overall(most extreme points: widest. Deepest, tallest) ~ 18"w x 19-1/2"d x 38-1/4"h Seat height: 19"h(The wood skirt is 17-3/4" at its highest point) Seat width: 18"w at it's widest in front. Beautifully newly-upholstered in a plush, rich forest green wool mohair, button-tufted on the front of the chair back. This is a very large, sturdy, and comfortable chair. We are not furniture experts, so I'm not sure if this is a very well done Chippendale reproduction or not.
