I knew it was going to be really boring but I had to do it in order to be a more of an outstanding community activist.blah blah blah. As I entered the windowless room I nearly fell asleep because I knew how bored I was going to be for the next 2 hours. All of a sudden it struck me. I felt the sense of Christmas overwhelm me. What are those in the corner? Are they what I think they are? No it can't be. As I scurry down the narrow aisle. Stepping on people's feet, anticipation started to peak. Two fiberglass arm shells YES! The arm shells had a removable tan cover on them. not the one that is glued to the shell. I popped off the cover ... moreand noticed a bright lemon-yellow. If you've seen a lot of lemon-yellow. You'll notice that through the many years, the chairs become slightly dull. Because this one was covered, it's BRIGHT and looks BRAND NEW! The back of the shell is painted with that typical Greige color paint by Herman Miller. I made an offer to the building manager and voila! BETTER NEWS! The chairs have the Double Summit Triangle embossing. The one that's not for sale actually has an ink stamp of 1956. If you do the research. For auction is one original vintage Herman Miller Eames black fiberglass side shell chair upholstered in brown vinyl. It is in fantastic condition. The vinyl is in perfect shape. No holes, nicks or tears, and not a stitch out of place. There is only one faint scratch toward the front of the seat(pictured) The vinyl is still perfectly adhered to the foam cushion, which is also in excellent condition. No puckering or blistering along the seams. The base is an original zinc H-Base with the shallower depth profile of 18" front to back, and has all of its original casters. Shock mounts are all in good shape. The black fiberglass shell has only a few small areas of light scratches(pictured) The tag underneath shows a manufacturing date of JUL 26 1968. Mint condition ball/ egg chair. It was custom made in 2001 for me. It is not a refurbished 1960's chair. It was a custom made chair, so all materials are new. The design is from the 1960's. Speakers are built in and can be hooked up to any stereo. The ottoman is included. There is a little wear on the chrome base, a few scratches. There are zero defects on the fiberglass, white exterior. There is a small spot on the fabric that can be spot cleaned. I just covered it up with the pillow that is included. There are 4 orange pillows included(2 for the arm rests, one for the back and one to sit on) This chair has been in a smoke-free, chemical-free home.

For your consideration is one(1) rare EAMES Zenith Fiberglass Arm Chair in the lovely RAW UMBER or greige color with a subtle tinge of green. It's kind of a chameleon and looks gray. Green, or greige depending on the lighting condition. In any case, it's a lovely color and one of the best neutral shades from Eames. This is a 2nd generation post-rope edge chair. One of the early Zenith generation chairs, so it predates the Herman Miller embossment, which first appeared in the late 1950s, and retains the large hockey puck sized shock mounts and thicker edges. You are looking at an aluminum swivel base for Herman Miller Eames shell chairs(standard"narrow" mount configuration. The base is dining/desk height. Sitting approximately 17-18" off the floor. Has four nylon feet. So it can glide around your floor without scuffing. Swivel mechanism could use some lubricant. Otherwise solid condition. Has a metal tag under the chair mount labeled"Rothman's, presumably the furniture store where the chair was originally purchased. I am selling a number of other aluminum swivel bases. RARE. EARLY EAMES COLOR-SALMON. This Salmon is a very Fibrous Light Orange Fiberglass The shell is Transitional with only the Double Triangle Mark of Summit Plastics embossed in the fiberglass. Vintage Wingback Fiberglass Chair by Lawrence Peabody for Selig that is in very good condition with only flaw being a ding in chrome frame on back top of chair(see close up) that is only visible from behind. Chair curls over at top. The chair is 28" wide at wing points, 32" tall at top of back, seat is about 17" deep and wide with cushion at 16x15" and seat height of about 18" including cushion. Chrome has nice shine and condition to surface, feet all good, fabric has no tears or damages, and fiberglass is excellent. Great retro chair and very comfortable, esp with the built in cushions. It's not as dark as brilliant yellow, but more like a brighter parchment with similar translucency and one of the most versatile neutral colors from Eames. Embossed"3 dots" indicating a very early shell(circa 1950s) Which predates the Herman Miller logo. The edges are slightly thicker than subsequent shells. Nice patina on the armshell. Rare Herman Miller fiberglass chair low lounge H base designed by Charles Eames.This is#3of 3 that I have available. It's in great shape. Ready to use and has all the foot glides. Has a little oxidation here and there on a couple of the legs that could be cleaned off if desired. Fit's any fiberglass arm shell and any fiberglass side shell with the mounts in the narrow position. Makes a very comfortable sitting position when a shell is fitted. Vintage Eames Herman Miller Fiberglass Mustard Naugahyde Armshell Swivel Chair
Used. Shows age appropriate wear. Tear, scratches, stains, dirt, etc. Pictures 2& 3- demonstrate some marks within the chair cover- there are others. Pictures 5& 6 demonstrate some of the scratches, etc. on the outside shelling- there are others. Pictures 11& 12 demonstrate where the trim/pipping come together that it is split- front underneath view. Chair is comfortable and swivels nicely. I did not see any tears in the covering or thread pulls, but please keep in mind I might have easily missed something. I believe the screws have been replaced in the bottom of the chair.
