They are scratched. Faded/water marks? have scratches, scuffs and a couple peel marks? They appear to have had sat outside for a period of time but not sure how long. And the edges are worn and has one ding mark on the back side edge(see picture) it doesn't go all the way through the edge it is only one sided. One chair has some spots on the back and bottom of the chair. There are four shock mounts on each chair, but only three screws/bolts per chair so one chair is missing one bolt; the screw/bolts are somewhat rusty as well. One chairs mounts are also missing part of the rubber/glue that holds the mount on if you zoom in on the pictures you can see it. Please review pictures as they are a part of this description and so you can see more of the condition in your own detail. I haven't seen any cracks or chips, just wear along the edges and scratches on the chairs. There are no labels on the bottoms of these chairs only the embossed markings. I have combined those markings into one picture. The marking with the circled star-like is on the bottom of the one with the spots on it, the one with the circled"S" is on the bottom of the other one. These are good sturdy chairs and with a little TLC can become great chairs once again. Nice fibers and fair color- there is fading(water marks) on the seats of both chairs, just need to be cleaned up a bit and a little reconditioning is all. THIS AUCTION DOES NOT INCLUDE THE BASES! This early production chair in this particular color is one of the most collectible Eames chairs on the market. The rarest and most collectible Eames/Herman Miller colors are purple. Pink, elephant hide grey, and seafoam. They are extremely rare and seldom become available for purchase. Even more rare to find them in excellent vintage condition like this one. Beautifully visible fiberglass"hairs" which stand out beautifully on the seafoam shell. Looks amazing under any light-natural or indoor. Exhibits signs of typical. But minimal, wear, but in amazing shape for being 60 years old. Given the marking on the bottom as well as the original X-base. This is very likely a Zenith production and possibly a prototype marked"AX" stands for A rmshell X- four leg base) which makes it doubly rare. Per an Eames collector, but we leave it to the buyer to make their own determination. The only notable flaw we detect is a tiny chip on the left arm underside/back which isn't really noticeable unless you look closely on the left/back. Typical oxidation and rust on the base which can be eliminated through the proper cleaning agent. One of the best Eames chairs we've seen. Final sale. Herman Miller Eames Original Fiberglass Shell Chair Rope Edge Mid Century
Up for sale is an original fiberglass shell chair in a deep. Beautifully rich navy blue color designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. It is in great. Vintage condition, but it is used, so there are the usual small scratches. The underside grommets and other hardware are in good condition as well. The shell is structurally solid with NO cracks in the fiberglass. But there are four holes drilled in a straight line on the bottom of the chair, it was an upholstered chair and the vinyl was removed, so it may be appropriate to add a throw blanket or pillow on to the chair, but that's just my opinion. The chair has a Star base with a narrow mount configuration which you could swap out for narrow mount bases Rocker. You are viewing a fiberglass shell chair made by Krueger Metal Products. Chair is structurally sound. With no major chips, cracks, rips or tears. I found one chip on the front underside of the seat that you can't see until it's flipped over. There is also a little bit of"cloudiness" in the seat(see pictures. The backside shows a high fiber content, so for that vintage look, this chair might just use some light sanding and a new coat of penetrol to smooth out the colors on the seat. This is a original Herman Miller fiberglass chair. The color is Salmon Seafoam. This chair does not include the base(shell only) It has the wide base mounts and all of the mounts are intact. This char has absolutely no cracks. The approximate measurements are 17 inches tall 17 inches wide and 15 inches deep. I have provided pictures to show condition if you need anymore then feel free to contact me and I will get you what you need. I only cleaned this chair with soap and water. I will leave the rest of the cleaning to the buyer because I don't want to risk damaging the chair with solvents and some people may like it the way it is. Industrial Machine Age STURGIS Posture Chair Fiberglass propeller base goodform
This is a very cool industrial desk chair by the Sturgis Posture Chair Company. It's in good original condition with wear shown in photos. Everything works as it should. The chair swivels and tilts with tilt adjustment. The backrest can be moved up and down. The chairs reclining angle can be changed via a knob under the chair. And the seat height is adjustable. The vinyl does have splits at the front corners, but the seat and backrest are in good shape. Seat is inner sprung and is very comfy. Has an awesome light green fiberglass propeller base with heavy visible fibers. There are some knicks in the wheels but the chair rolls very smoothly, there are no flat spots. Base and backrest will be removed for cheaper safer shipping. Shipping via Fedex Ground within the US only.

The coffee table still has the original label from 1973. Overall all pieces are in great condition. They do have a few flaws such as scratches and few bubbles in paint on back of sofa.
