In overall very good condition with just a couple of very small scuffs and marks here and there in keeping with their age but nothing noticable. please see photos) A stunning chair- total classic. This is a very cool industrial desk chair by the Sturgis Posture Chair Company. It's in good original condition with wear shown in photos. Everything works as it should. The chair swivels and tilts with tilt adjustment. The backrest can be moved up and down. The chairs reclining angle can be changed via a knob under the chair. And the seat height is adjustable. The vinyl does have splits at the front corners, but the seat and backrest are in good shape. Seat is inner sprung and is very comfy. Has an awesome light green fiberglass propeller base with heavy visible fibers. There are some knicks in the wheels but the chair rolls very smoothly, there are no flat spots. some fine chairs! they have been through years of use and are holding up good. all have the paper label and double triangle marks. prior owner drilled holes in bottom and used them on the patio for years. before that they were in a barber shop in a small upper michigan town. they are in ironwood michigan right now on the wisconsin border by lake superior and that is where they would have to be picked up. at this auction no shipping local pick up only. the holes should be an easy fix with jb weld because that is about the same color as these chairs and is a good epoxy. the photos are the best description. they do have some wear and on 2 of them a corner on bottom behind where the knee sits is a small stress spot that could be looked into but they all perform well and you hardly ever have the chance to hbuy a whole set of grey ones at one time. ... moredont be afraid to send an offer.

This color combination is one of the best i've ever seen.Elephant Hide Grey(EG) fiberglass with a dark red(Burgundy/wine) colored naugahyde cover and black edge trim. The only notable condition blemishes are on the seat of the chair.it has a spot that looks as if it was repaired(photos#5& 6) The patch shade is slightly brighter but it was well done and does not effect the seats integrity and one 1/4" slit near the repair that is barely noticeable and very tight. I believe this Herman Miller Fiberglass shell chair is from the 1950's or 60's. It is in good condition with normal wear from age and use. Such as fading, scratches and some rough spots around the outside edges. A few of the scratches are a little deeper than others, and there is also a chip on the front edge of the seat. Please look at all of the photos to get a good idea of the condition. It comes with the stacking base which is in good condition and all of the round metal feet are present, but there is some surface rust. One of the round rubber bumpers is loose and will probably come off when it is taken apart for shipping. It is marked Herman Miller on the under side of the base with the Herman Miller logo. Very beautiful turquoise color. Original sturgis posture chair from the 1960s you don't see these anymore especially not the armchair version. It is a bit of a restoration project it has two cracks along the upper back rest if you are experience with fiberglass this wouldn't be a hard thing to fix. For auction is a set of three matching armless Herman Miller Eames shell chair seats in black fiberglass with pale tan upholstery. There are no bases. The fiberglass shells are in excellent condition and exhibit only minor wear. And the black rubber edges on all three are in excellent shape as well. The upholstery has puckered away from the foam in the center and needs to be cleaned, though these seats might be better off stripped and refinished as bare fiberglass. One of the bolt mounts underneath one of the chairs has come loose and is trapped inside somewhere between the foam cushion and the fiberglass(I could feel it in there when I was pressing around on the foam looking for it) There are no screws available.
