There is also one loose round foil silver and white Charles Eames/ Herman Miller/ Zeeland Michigan medallion which fell off one of the chairs. Through description and photos I'm trying to describe all flaws although the chairs are overall in good condition and will be very nice with a good clean up and polish. Chair#1. Shell has no chips. Holes or cracks. Minimal edgewear/light scuffs. See photo of bottom. Back has raised Herman Miller logo, stamped number and also embossed letter"B" Chair#2. Shell has no holes or cracks. There is a 1/2" scuff/nick along edge of chair(viewer's right) near top. Shown with blue stickie. It is not quite a chip but you can feel that the edge is rough in that spot and see it if you look. Otherwise, light scuffing and wear along edges. Back has raised Herman Miller logo, stamped number and also embossed letter"B" Chair#3. Shell has no holes or splits. There are some spots where color is faded/discolored.see photo. One squarish spot is noticeable. Where the seat meets the back(see blue sticky with arrow) and then there are some more minimally faded areas on the upper half. Edge is scuffed and slightly cracked at top left edge of chair. It is not broken and the area is completely sturdy. On the top right back edge there is a shallow crack that does not go through chair or affect sturdiness. It is not very noticeable but can be felt when running hand along edge. These two issues are pictured below in close-up. Otherwise, chair#3 has minimal scuffing and wear along edges. Back has stamped number and raised Herman Miller logo. Chair#4. Shell has areas of slight fading/discoloration but not much. Some scuffing/fading along edges. Fighting chair, Teak and Fiberglass
This fighting chair measures 2 feet across. The seat is fiberglass. The arm rests and back are Teak. The back rest comes off when not needed. Each arm rest is made out of Teak and have a Lees rod holder. The seat has a gimbal. The seat pedestal is appx 30 inches tall. The pedestal may be removed from the boat when the chair is not in use. There is a screw cap that closes the pedestal entry. THERE IS NO FOOT REST TO THIS CHAIR The overall condition of the chair is very good. Mid Century Fiberglass Shell Chair Fiberform Fiber Resin Cream Painted Sanded
This chair had been painted black. I removed most of the paint and mended the crack on the side. I had wanted to cover the fiberglass shell with some Mid- Century graphics(such as an Eames textile print) Or decoupage some 60's advertisments on it, or paint it a bright neon color with 60's flowers, but then, I couldn't decide. So it's your chance. I started to cover the legs with twine becasue the paint always chips with you repaint metal, and anyway, the twine had kind of Mccobb rush cane feel to it(or so I thought) Anyway, if you only want the shell, the postage will be adjusted to the lower weight.

For auction is one original vintage Herman Miller Eames fiberglass shell chair with the non-swivel pedestal base. It features a grayish-beige fiberglass shell with beige vinyl/naugahyde upholstery. It is in excellent overall condition The foam and vinyl are in great shape. No split seams. But there is one tiny nick in the vinyl at the edge of the seat(pictured) There are also some pale stains on one side of the seat, which barely register in the photographs. The aluminum base has been cleaned and polished but still has a few dark oxidation spots that are common to these vintage bases. The entire chair has been thoroughly cleaned and detailed. There are also some fine, whitish scratches on the back and a quarter-sized scuff toward the bottom left, but nothing more than what is obvious in the photos. Listed for sale is an all extremely rare and all original Eames rope edge fiberglass arm shell in lemon yellow with an original X base. Enlarged shock mounts, original screws, and original washers. The chair was manufactured by Zenith for Herman Miller and is one from the earliest generation of Eames armshells. The rope edge was discontinued after a short period of production due to the added expense of an additional step in the manufacturing process. The shell has not been cleaned heavily and thus could be made to look flawless if so desired. The current state is absolutely original. It has also never been worked on or coated with anything. Have the Herman Miller patent labels on the bottoms, and the stamp"November 14, 1957. All original parts, with all of their feet/glides. In excellent condition, with just expected minor overall wear. Lightly used for the past 40 years, much of that time with seat cushion. One base needs slight tightening. Approx dimenstions: 31.5 high. 24.5 wide, 20" deep.I think these are the DAX 18" seat height, but they might be the SAX 17" UWS brownstone- two flights of stairs.

Offered for your review and consideration is this very nice ORIGINAL VINTAGE HERMAN MILLER'PARCHMENT' COLORED FIBERGLASS SHELL SIDE CHAIR. WITH EIFFEL TOWER WELDED STEEL WIRE BASE ON PLASTIC PADDED FEET. It measures 30 3/4" in height x 18 3/8" in width(seat) x 10" in width at the top of the backrest. It's 17 1/2" to the top of the seat from the floor and it has a seat depth of 17. This vintage chair is in'as found' condition. It came as a pair. Along with another original vintage'smoke-grey' Herman Miller fiberglass shell side chair. That chair still has the affixed Herman Miller paper label attached underneath the seat. The Herman Miller paper tag has come off the parchment colored chair but the area where it was attached is obvious. As there is still glue residue. The original, completely ... moreauthentic, iconic Herman Miller Eiffel Tower welded steel wire base is in very good overall condition. With all welded joints intact and sturdy. The base still has its original factory silver spray paint and there is some rubbing and thinning of this paint film over the steel wire in a few areas. The Eiffel Tower base is also missing one white plastic padded, snap-on tabbed feet. These can be readily purchased online or directly from Herman Miller in Michigan. The other 3 plastic feet are present. The'parchment-colored' Herman Miller fiberglass shell is in good condition with very nice surface and clean edges. There is however. A 1" break coming in from the right edge right at the place where the fiberglass form turns upwards. It's not a fatal break but it's there and is the only real strike against the chair. There is small nic/chip on side rim(left side close to top which is not seen from front) and a nic/flake spot on the front right inside of curve of the shell seat. Between 1/8" and 1/4" round and shallow on the surface. Very easy to touch-up if desired- its not very noticeable at all. Good strong solid secure chair. Black legs has use/age wear on the paint. 1955 PSC Eames Herman Miller Parchment Ivory Fiberglass Shell Chair Rare Base!
Listed for sale is a very special side shell! It is a Herman Miller side shell by Charles and Ray Eames with 1955 aluminum contract base. Matching the Eames 671 ottoman! It was named the PSC and is one of my favorite bases. The base was produced for a very short time and this example is paired with a parchment/ivory shell. Please also refer to many similar items in my store. Fiberglass Minor scuffs to the front edge. Shown in the photos. The finish itself is beautiful. It has not been coated or refinished and is original. Shock Mounts and Screws The shock mounts are all original and are still stable on the chair. Base Excellent condition. PSC 1955 contract base. Mid Century Modernism at it's finest. A Ray& Charles Eames original, The Eiffel Tower base. Used on Herman Miller fiberglass bucket chairs that was manufactured in the 50's. This is the narrower base. Base has original shock mounts and original screws, which I have not tightened back down for fear of stripping or cross threading. In GREAT condition. Will need to be repainted due to surface rusting and a paint splotch. No broken welds& no pieces broken. There is a bit of glue left on shock mounts and it looks like one of the rods on one leg has a very slight bow. please see pic. which can be easily remedied. Weight is 3 1/2 lbs. Height is 17 inches. Shell has no cracks or chips, mounted on zinc Eiffel base with birch runners. Shell has just the slightest patina giving it a rich slightly off-white color. The X-base height is 15 inches which was called Medium or Standard. Hence the MAX or SAX designation as opposed to the higher Dining(DAX) or lower Lounge(LAX) models. Mid Century Modern fiberglass shell chair by Lawrence Peabody for Selig Leominster. Similar to the chairs made famous by Eames for Herman Miller. Lawrence’s rendition features wrought iron hairpin legs shock mounted to the fiberglass chassis. Wing back shape is Lawrence’s Hallmark. It’s a marriage of the old and the new. Traditional influenced form with a 20th century material and approach. A perfect example of American atomic age design. This piece displays adventurous aspirations and technological advances that made post-war America so exciting. This chair is often mis-attributed to Luther Conover. Very good all original condition with no chips and no repairs to the fiberglass. It does show some typical signs of age. With some slight discoloration on the shell, it also, has a few speckles of paint drips that scrape right off, but I will ... moreleave that up to you. Metal base has some light areas of surface rust and the two rear floor glides are missing. This is a beautiful interpretation of a classic style. Real USA hand made Eames style arm shell upholstered child size rocker. The chair has been used for a few commercial ads and is near perfect new shape. The base wood runners are REAL birch hardwood that have been clear coated to a satin finish. The base stand is metal turret that has been chrome plated to a brilliant finish. The fabric is a vintage style and it really has a clean symmetrical pleasing look. Herman Miller Eames Swivel Chair - Green with White Fiberglass back
Chair has been used and show some wear. But no rips or tears and in nice condition. Stitching is great, no loose areas, and it turns easily. Overall very nice chair despite being used for several years. Green is very nice and bright, and not a color I have seen much. Base has some discoloring on the silver, but I image someone can give this chair a bit of TLC and it will look amazing! Has the Herman Miller imprint on the bottom as well.
