This early production chair in this particular color is one of the most collectible Eames chairs on the market. The rarest and most collectible Eames/Herman Miller colors are purple. Pink, elephant hide grey, and seafoam. They are extremely rare and seldom become available for purchase. Even more rare to find them in excellent vintage condition like this one. Beautifully visible fiberglass"hairs" which stand out beautifully on the seafoam shell. Looks amazing under any light-natural or indoor. Exhibits signs of typical. But minimal, wear, but in amazing shape for being 60 years old. Given the marking on the bottom as well as the original X-base. This is very likely a Zenith production and possibly a prototype marked"AX" stands for A rmshell X- four leg base) which makes it doubly rare. Per an Eames collector, but we leave it to the buyer to make their own determination. The only notable flaw we detect is a tiny chip on the left arm underside/back which isn't really noticeable unless you look closely on the left/back. Typical oxidation and rust on the base which can be eliminated through the proper cleaning agent. One of the best Eames chairs we've seen. Final sale. Vtg 70's Teak Oak Orange Etagere Bookcase Mid-Century Modern Eames Herman Miller
This is a sensational circa 1970's etagere shelf rack unit. It is made of light teak or perhaps oak solid wood cross-members that clamp with set screws onto orange coated steel tubes which are very sturdy and support glass shelves. Very minimalist design. I do not know the exact age but I do know they are older and it has an Allied moving sticker with a patent date of 1965 and 1970 so I am leaving the sticker attached for reference and date approximation. It measures 85" tall 25.5" wide and 17 5/8" deep. It is in excellent overall condition with minimal wear. The glass shelves are removable and can adjust by moving the wooden bars up and down along the tubes. The glass is also in excellent condition but there is a large scratch across one that fortunately is not very noticeable. These come completely apart and will be shipped ... morein two boxes. This is a very early Herman Miller chair designed by Charles Eames with logo. The fiberglass is very prominent and fibrous. Condition is very good with mild edge wear and a small chip on the underside of the back at the top(cannot really be seen because its under the back lip) The legs are good. Vintage Herman Miller Eames Upholstered Fiberglass Shell Chair Swivel Casters
For auction is one vintage Herman Miller Eames shell arm chair upholstered in its original orange. Wool-blend fabric. The fiberglass shell is white and has the swivel base with casters(fixed height, non-tilt) It is in excellent condition overall, but the fabric has"puckered" along the lower seam where it's separated from the foam padding. There are some very, very faint small stains on the seat(which I have provided a close-up of) though as you can see from the photos, they are hardly noticeable overall. There are also some slight indentations in the armrests(pictured) I have had the upholstery professionally cleaned, so it most likely will not clean up any better than what you see here. The shell, which has been thoroughly cleaned and buffed, is in perfect shape. The hard black rubber edge is also in great shape and has only ... morelight scratches near the arms. The aluminum base has been polished, but has a few spots of dark oxidation common to these bases(the most obvious of which I've photographed) The casters have all been cleaned& re-lubricated and roll smoothly. For auction is one rare Herman Miller model EC228 secretarial swivel chair with its original beige wool-blend upholstery. This one of the more uncommon pieces from their Aluminum group collection and was probably produced in the early to mid-1970s. The fabric is in excellent condition and has been professionally cleaned. The foam is in excellent condition as well. The entire chair has been cleaned and detailed top to bottom. And the casters have been re-lubricated and roll smoothly. There is one small scratch noticeable on the back near the upper left. It has no Herman Miller markings at all, which is typical of an early chair like this. There is a hand written number 46 on the chair from the factory and a metal tag that says J.L.H. 19715 which is from the company that purchased the chair and used it originally(possibly The J.L. Herman Miller Eames molded plastic side chairs, set of 4 - shells only
This auction is for a set of 4 authentic Herman Miller Eames molded plastic chair shells. These fiberglass shells came from a diner where they've been mounted to beams for more than 40 years. Giving them the patina you can see in the pictures. I've made no attempt to recondition these chairs- just a quick washing with a mild dish soap. The finish is a red/orange. In the photos you'll notice stress cracks on three of the four shells but they are still functional as is. Clear resin repair kits are available at modernconscience(dot)com/store/page179.html, along with replacement bases and parts. Pair Of Vintage Mid Century Modern Eames Herman Miller Plywood DCM Cowhide Chair
This Listing is for two Eames DCM cowhide chairs circa 1970. It seems that both came from the estate of the original owner who at one point started to refurbish them. But came up short. Both are in functional condition, but they need some work. It is possible that the eames chair with black feet is not an original cowhide DCM chair, but that it was possibly made to match the DCM chair with white feet, which has slightly more wear consistent with a chair from the 1970 period. The tags and stamps are not on the chairs, however there are areas of discoloration which seem consistent with what original Eames cowhide chairs tags and stamps would have been. This all being said. They are charming and quite rare examples of classic Eames, particularly since the comfortable cowhide surface denotes a uniquely american response to the overwhelming danish/european ... moreinfluence of the mid century modern design movement. They are wonderful and functional in their current condition.and though they would need some restoration to become showroom caliber pieces, they are by far superior in comfort, historical relevance, and rare styling than the many knockoffs and modern day reproductions that are available new today. These chairs in excellent condition often sell for between $1000- $2000 per chair. However, these chairs are listed for only $445 for BOTH chairs, shipping included. I am told proper refurbishing or restoration typically increases the value a significant amount in these types of circumstances, however I have not looked into this myself regarding these chairs. Set of 6 Herman Miller Eames fiberglass shell chairs Greige (SHELLS ONLY)
6 Herman Miller Eames side chairs. These are fiberglass chairs in the Greige color. This is just for the shells the 3 bases seen in the photos will not be included. Condition- These chairs are in amazing shape. The have no chips. Scratches, cracks and the edges are near perfect. These chairs have NOT been refinished(I learned my lesson) I have only used basic household cleaner on them. The color on the chairs is consistent and has no significant fading or discoloration. Except for minor fading on the seat of chair#2(took extra photo with interior light to best show this slight discoloration) Two rubber shock mounts have come off(one on chair#2 and one on chair number#3) and a 3rd mount is loose on chair#2. I have the two rubber mount that came off and will include them. It seems like an easy fix to re-epoxy the mounts on but I will leave ... morethat to the new owners since they will need to get bases anyhow. I will include screws(24) for the chairs. They will be correct size and thread type but will be hex head as the original Phillips head screws are gone. I am trying to be as open and honest as possible about the condition of theses chairs. Because they are in about as good of shape as I have seen in vintage fiberglass chairs.

Specifications Ad is is about 4 x 12 inches Condition Note It's rather difficult to get the color and the contrast of the original in a scan AND preserve any flaws. Which tend to get muted, so this text will describe flaws, if any. Ad is in very nice shape with light tanning around the edges. This ad has been carefully removed from an original period magazine.
