Hovmand-Olsen and Kold shared a relationship which produced some fine pieces of furniture and this ten piece set is a testament to that. Mogens Kold made“utter simplicity. Extending the length to 67” long. The sideboard measures 65” long by 22” deep by 37.5” tall. The wood used appears to be an American Burl Walnut. Highly priced by Danish makers during the mid century. The frame of the chairs. The base of the sideboard and the trim of the table appear to be a combination of teak and beech. Over the months. We have tried to evaluate a reasonable asking price. However. There are no comparisons to be found. Only rare instances of finding a similar set of chairs or table. Jens Risom Dux Selig style walnut arm chair vintage mid century danish modern
Designer& Manufacturer unknown Circa 1960's Walnut(assumed) Impeccable fabric assumed gabardine 32" tall. 25" deep, 21.24" wide. Seat Height 18" and Arm Rest height 24.5" This chair has hallmarks that would strongly suggest a Jens Risom production. However the chair is unmarked and we have not found the maker through research. We believe the fabric is gabardine which was extensively used by Dux also. It is sculpted walnut reminding me also of Adrian Pearsall as well. However produced it. We know someone viewing this listing knows who did it. This item is in good condition with some minor indentations and scratches but overall very good. Fabric is sensational. ESPECIALLY RARE FIND! Up for sale is rare. Teak, three legged mid century chair. This chair has a very unique shape and style. I've looked everywhere for another example, and have found nothing. I have asked experts, and none are sure of the manufacturer of this piece. I was told it could possibly be an Adrian Pearsall chair, but I have never seen another chair like it. I looked in the Pearsall catalog, but did not find it. The legs are made of teak, which leads me to believe it is a Danish chair. The chair has its original fabric, which is in good condition(see photos) It does have a few spots where it is wearing thin. The fabric is pretty thick, almost like a tweed. It's an oatmeal color, with a pattern that resembles the shape of the chair. The wood base of the chair is teak. It has a beautiful wood grain. It is very sturdy, and ... moreit great condition. 39 inches tall at back x 33 deep(not extended) x 28 wide. Upholstery and padding are very nice. Some digs that you do not see from where the foot rest rubs when it closes. The foot rest needs a little adjustment as you can see in the pics it sits a little bit off when closed. It holds firmly when extended. Some wear to chrome finish on the area where your hands go. see pics. Some pitting to handle- but the rest of the chrome is nice. Not sure of maker- but feels solid and well tooled- and heavy. Koefoeds Hornslet Danish Teak Eva Dining Chair Mid Century Modern
For bid is a Danish teak dining chair(1) manufactured by Koefoeds Hornslet in the 1960's. This model is called the Eva chair. And was made by Koefoeds Hornslet, designed by Niels Koefod. The original stamps are still visible underneath the chair seat. The original fabric is not on this chair, but I have reupholstered it in a complimentary fabric. Most likely, these were done in a black vinyl. There is some wear. But I'm sure some Danish oil would help restore this to its original glory. The left back leg has some expansion/separation on both sides. This doesn't seem to have any affect on the structure of the chair as I have sat in it with no problems. It is not wobbly. If I were going to keep it, I would have it filled in and the expansion repaired. I don't think it would be a major issue. This chair is being offered for local ... morepickup. This fabulous 1960s Danish modern walnut lounge chair from a midwest estate by famous mid century Scandinavian designer Jens Risom is of superior quality and is in excellent condition with a tiny bit of wear/touch-ups to the finish of the arms and one scratch to the surface of the durable original neutral vinyl upholstery.
