These rarely come up for sale and the last one on ebay was about 4 months ago and ended with a"reserve not met" at $1221. There are a few currently listed in the $2000-4000 range elsewhere. Unfortunately. Our new house doesn't have the space for it! This one is in very good vintage condition and has been reupholstered at some point in the past. The upholstery is in perfect condition with no tears/pulls/stains/smells and I'm pretty sure it's an expensive WOOL fabric. It features a geometric pattern in blue and yellow(the color mix makes it look greenish from a bit further back) The foam is still very soft which leads me to believe it was replaced when the chair was reupholstered. There are a few minor scuffs on the walnut base but they're barely noticeable. I don't think they're worth sanding/re-polying. The back measures 31 inches high from the ground. Seat width is 24 inches(28 inches outside of arms total) The depth of the chair is ~33 inches. While the rocker base measures 32 inches deep. The height to the top of the armrests measure 24 inches. Local pickup is preferred. But I can work with your shipping company of choice to get this to you. I know a lot of people use TSC Moving to ship furniture safely( Because of the value. From an estate we are liquidating an circa 1955 Mid Century Danish Modern Vintage Original Hans Wegner Wishbone Chair that needs some tender loving care. Needs to re-glued at all the joints. Back rest is damaged and needs to be repaired and/or replaced. Included is a new oak back rest from Hans Wegner, it is not finished, so the buyer will have to finish it to match the patina on the rest of the chair. A small section of wood on the back of the wishbone part is missing, this is not a structural issue at all. We are including another oak replacement part from Hans Wegner, that does not match any part of this chair, but the oak might be useful in making the necessary repairs. If we were keeping the chair we would cut the part that needs replacement from the new back rest and attach it to the old backrest, thereby keeping as much of the original ... moreas possible. The buyer has the option of using the entire replacement back rest or using only in part. The patina on the chair is absolutely beautiful and the really cannot be photographed adequately by us. The caning on the seat is in excellent condition. In person inspection is welcome. This vintage piece came out of a home in Denmark and clearly was a take on the Hans Wegner Papa Bear ottoman/ stool. It is a cool design with its minimalist lines and would make an nice compliment to any Danish modern chair/ décor. The piece is constructed out of solid teak(handles and legs) with black leather like vinyl upholstery. It is supported by 4 teak taper legs which will unscrew for shipping. If the seat color is not for you. This is a very simply DIY upholstery project that you can do in about 15 min with any style/ color fabric of your choice and a staple gun. measurements 21" wide by 11 5/8" deep by 15" high at the sides(14.5" high in the middle) condition This shows a fair amount of age and ... morewear. So if you are looking for absolute perfection, its not for you. It sits solid and is very usable. The teak has a very nice aged patina that only decades of time can produce. Vinyl shows some surface age(easy to recover) The legs do not sit at perfect matching angles to one another. They all screw in tight and function fine, so its just an esthetic thing. This is due to expansion and contraction in the wood and while nothing offensive to the overall look, if you are super picky about that kind of stuff, again, not for you. I purchased these at an estate sale here in Santa Fe from a woman who had lived many years in Finland and returned to Santa Fe with all of her European furniture. The credenza behind the sofa was from the same estate.NFS) These pieces are very well constructed and appear hand crafted with an excellent grade of premium dyed leather. I am not sure of the age of these unique pieces and there is no maker’s mark to be found. The leather is supple with no apparent wear. Scuffs or cracks of any kind. The 8 cushions are separate and are full leather on front and back with zipper. I did have the cushion foam replaced this past year. Both the chair and sofa have a full leather back side. I do not know the true age as it was purchased out of a non smoking Estate in Sarasota Florida and the chair is now in a non smoking home. The chair is in very nice vintage condition and appears to have been cared for. The leather is soft, with light wear on the area where hands would rest. I did not try to clean this chair, I will let the new owner clean and apply conditioner to the leather. The wood appears to be rosewood and has a nice bentwood shape. The chair has a mechanism that allows you to recline to different positions. Please do not expect new condition, but nice vintage condition. Unusual Vintage Danish Modern Lounge Chair in Oak Wegner Wanscher Era
A n Original Danish Modern Lounge Chair in an Unusual Light finish This chair was created circa late 1950's- 60's This chair features wide. Propeller shaped arms with fins on the underside for a wonderful sculptural feel. It has tapered stiles in the front and back legs that slant outward. It retains its original cushions which are crafted of orange vinyl on the sides and back with a predominately orange patterned fabric on the faces. The covers are zippered for easy removal and cleaning. There are no signatures or markings on the chair that I could see. The chair measures approximately 28 1/4" high at the back. 26 3/4" wide at the arms, and is 29 1/2" at its deepest. The seat alone sits 15" off the floor and is 21" by 21" Very Good condition with no breakages or repairs. The finish is original and slightly ... moreuneven in spots(see photos) not so much that would need to be refinished but It could certainly benefit from a good scrub with an oil soap and subsequent rub-down with a nice lemon oil. There is small split in the left side upright of the chair's back but it does not affect the chair's sturdiness in any way(it is also hidden from sight by the cushion) The cushions have some slight discoloration on the vinyl from sitting on the chair rails for decades. Most notably on the back cushion(see photos) there are also a few small spots on the fabric of the cushions(again see photos) reliably safe packaging and insurance are included in the shipping cost. This is the iconic Russel Wright"S" chair produced in the 1950s by Conant Ball. Stylistically reminiscent of the better Danish Modern designs of the era. All original. Appears to be the original upholstery(although I am not expert enough to be certain) Very good condition, comfortable and structurally sound. There is a lighter area on the seat(see photo) that may be staining that would come out if professionally cleaned. This company is no longer in operation and there is another Danish company called fagas that will makes replacement. IMPORTANT! Extremely rare and beautiful easy chair designed by Finn Juhl for France& Daverkosen/ France and Son of Denmark in 1954.Signed with a black medallion. Also called the Spade chair, because of the resemblance to the handle of a shovel. Model 133 Chair measures 29.5" wide. 27" deep, 33" tall. The arms are 23" from floor. Seats are 18" from the floor. In good condition showing only mild age and wear from normal use, Has a crack at the back spade barrel of the armrest.And the bottom of the lower back frame and just under that is an old repair. See photo's. Support bands are all there but one and do show age. The rubber spring covering is cracking. on some. For sale we have a wonderful vintage mid century modern rocker/rocking chair with original gold cushions that are in excellent condition. We purchased this a little while back from a woman who said it was her mother's and she was the original owner. She said the chair was made in Sweden but couldn't remember the designers name. She said he was a very famous designer. We've tried to figure it out but haven't been able to because of the chair straps. We cannot seem to spot another mid century rocker with the same straps and believe me these are original. Do us a favor please. Even if you are not interested in the chair and know who designed this we would highly appreciate any information you may have. The rocker measures 29 inches at it's highest point including the cushion and has a depth of 30 inches. The width is a roomy ... more29 inches. The chair structurally is in excellent condition. No problems at all. There are some light scratches here and there on the wood which is to be expected for a chair this old. The front of the chair straps at one point came loose so they stapled them to the chair. I think you can see that in the picture. This chair is extremely comfortable and shows beautifully.
