These chairs were made around 1954 and designed by Neils Moller for the JL Moller company. All of the chairs are in Good condition. The chairs have the Original Natural Woven Seats. There are no fraying. Cracks or tears in the woven seats. Each seat is signed on the bottom. The seats are made out of Teak Wood. The seats do show a couple of minor surface scratches in them from use over the years but nothing to take away from their appearance. There are no cracks. Chips, breaks or repairs in the wood of the chairs. Each chair measures approx. 17” from floor to chair seat. 29” tall from floor to top of back rest, 19 1/2” wide and 16” deep. For auction is one vintage Gunlocke model 2431 teak armchair from the 1960s. It is excellent condition. The frame exhibits barely any wear. Though the arms are a tad lighter. It was reupholstered in a reddish fabric at some point, but having it reupholstered would be easy and inexpensive. One arm has a small dark scratch on top, and the frame has some small dark spots on one side(pictured) The frame sits solidly and all joints are tight. Swivels and makes no noise. Chair and leather cushion are made in Denmark and distributed by Euro Marketing in Massachusetts. Leather is made of hundreds of 6" x 2 1/2" leather rectangles and sewn together. Cleaned and conditioned on a seasonal basis- the leather looks great. THIS IS THE NICEST CHAIR I HAVE HAD YET. IT WAS ORIGINALLY A DULL WHITE VINYL. THE THREADING ON THE FRONT CORNERS WAS COMING LOOSE AND THERE WAS A SMALL CUT ON TOP OF SEAT. I APPLIED LAYERS OF COMMERCIAL GRADE SILICONE TO THESE AREAS FOLLOWED BY LAYERS OF VINYL PAINT. I MUST SAY THE CHAIR TURNED OUT VERY NICE. HOWEVER I DID SPEND MANY HOURS ON IT. MECHANICALLY THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CHAIR. VERY STURDY CHAIR, NO LOOSE PARTS. THE WOOD LEGS WERE PAINTED BLACK BECAUSE IT JUST DID NOT LOOK RIGHT WITH THE ORIGINAL WOOD COLOR. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING BUT CAN NOT FIND ANY CHAIRS OF THIS PARTICULAR STYLE. THEREFORE WITH THE COLORS MIXED IT MIGHT BE ONE OF A KIND. This chair offers a low profile stance with tapered legs and small casters attached to the front legs. It retains it's original fabric and is still very vibrant in a variety of colors. It still sits comfortably with a foam cushion and slanted armrests. A very comfy chair. In good condition with some scratches to the wood legs. Some fabric wear on the piping and the armrests(photos 9& 10) A small spot on the side near the back has a snag about an 1/8" in diameter(shown ... morein photo 17) This is barely noticeable. It has a light stain under the cushion on the right side(shown in photo 11) No odors are present. Mid-Century W.H. GUNLOCKE Modern Lounge CHAIR Walnut Wood danish eames Mad Men
For sale is a mid century W.H. Gunlocke lounge chair that is made of Walnut with a cushioned seat. Label says cushion is 85% latex foam rubber. 10% synthetic foam and 5% cotton felt. Cover model is SM-919 and chair model is 1977USBR. Chair measurements 31" back height. 25 1/4" arm height, 19" seat height, 17 1/2" minimum width between arms, 18" seat from back to front edge. Chair comes from a trendy neighborhood in Minneapolis and is all original. I would say the condition is good. It looks nice from a distance, but if you inspect it up close it will need some polishing. The vinyl on the seat and backing is actually not that bad considering its decades old. There is a 1" surface split towards the front but on inspection it is not an actual tear, just the top layer of the vinyl is splitting. If you want to keep ... moreit original, it is still in pretty good shape. The side lateral support on the left has a 1/2" long by 1/8" chip out of it, but does not effect the integrity of the chair by any means. Other than this issue, I do not see any other real damage to it. I would highly recommend either refinishing or cleaning up the wood, there is nicks to it and the finish is becoming worn. As pictured- a masterpiece from the mid century modern aka Eames era! A lounge chair designed by Kofod-Larsen made by Selig. Fantastic design with incredible attention to detail. Solid walnut wood construction with excellent craftsmanship. In good structural condition with no abnormal cracks. Splits, deep gouges or unusual wear spots. Groove for webbing clips in perfect condition. Flaws: 1. Missing support webbing and clips for bottom cushion. They can be replaced. 2. Crack at the joint where the left arm connects to the backrest. I believe there is a dowel joining the two part as the connection still feels very solid despite the crack. A relatively simple fix with some wood glue and a clamp. 3. Minor nicks and scratches which mostly penetrate the varnish; particularly on the legs near the floor. To fully restore. The varnish should be removed ... moreand either re-stained or re-applied. Again, the majority of scratches are not deep. Despite the flaws. With the chair in very good structural condition, once restored I have no doubt the chair will look as good as new. Pair Vtg Adrian Pearsall Three Leg Sculpted Arm Chair Mid Century Danish Modern
This is an exceptionally nice matching pair of genuine circa 1960's sculpted three leg arm chairs. There are some staples on the bottom but no manufactures label or other identification markings. Research however has turned up that these are likely attributed to Adrian Pearsall or perhaps other fantastic designer. Regardless they are absolutely gorgeous in design. They are both very well cared for and in similar excellent condition with a little general finish wear, with some minor and typical vintage type dings/scrapes and one has a shallow small scratch on the back and one arm has a slight separation(see closeup) no other breaks or cracks and they have not been refinished or repaired. The cushions appear to be original Naugahyde, with a few faint spots on one but no rips or cracks on either. They measure 30.5" high, 25" wide, ... more24" deep and 17.5" to the top of the seat. HIGH BIDDER: Will be given first chance on a buy-it-know auction of two additional chairs that have been partially hand stripped and sanded of their paint. TWO(2) Vintage Danish Modern Hans Wegner Style Round Chairs- These are definitely OLD as proven by the many coats of paint and layers of old fabric on seats. Over time the former owners put several coats of paint on the wood frames. Paint has some wear. No paint flaking. The seats have been recovered at least four times with fabric. Evidence of all previous fabric covers can be seen as the layers are pulled away. When the seats were removed to recover them newer screws were used to hold the seat in place- old screws can be seen on all other parts of the chair.
