For auction is one vintage Gunlocke model 2431 teak armchair from the 1960s. It is excellent condition. The frame exhibits barely any wear. Though the arms are a tad lighter. It was reupholstered in a reddish fabric at some point, but having it reupholstered would be easy and inexpensive. One arm has a small dark scratch on top, and the frame has some small dark spots on one side(pictured) The frame sits solidly and all joints are tight. Swivels and makes no noise. Chair and leather cushion are made in Denmark and distributed by Euro Marketing in Massachusetts. Leather is made of hundreds of 6" x 2 1/2" leather rectangles and sewn together. Cleaned and conditioned on a seasonal basis- the leather looks great. Shows normal wear on leather and one front square on left side(captured in picture) that shows the most minimal wear. None of the leather is peeling, just normal wear from 50 years of gentle use. The naugahyde upholstery is in great original condition. It has a light scratch(pictured) some areas on the seat where the upholstery has wrinkled. This is a very rare peice. Almost impossible to find. Leather is in percect condition with no rips or tears and not dried out. It is missing 3 buttons on the seat of the chair under where you sit. Also there is a seam that has torn a bit in the front under the cushion that has been like that for years. It has no bearing on the durability of the chair and will not affect it and is also hidden.
