The set consists of two armchairs and four side chairs. They are a nice example of Chippendale at its finest. They have country Chippendale backs, scrolled carved arms on the armchairs and all the chairs have a scrolled mahogany frame around the removeable seat cushions. The chair skirts have an X carved crest across the front. The back legs are flared and the front legs are carved cabriole legs. The chairs have the old finish that isn’t black, but a really dark brown. The chairs have a couple of small cracks on the wood that will be detailed out prior to shipping. The chairs are all tight and sturdy.

Measurements for the chair are as follows: 42 1/2" ... moreH 24" W 24" D Seat Height 22 1/2. Top of seat rail is 18" Upholstered seat is NOT screwed in- seat measures 21" W at the front. 16 3/4" at the back and 16 1/2" D. Back of seat slat measures 10 1/4" W x 22" H Claw and Ball foot measures 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" x 3" H The shell on the front seat rail measures 3 7/8" W x 3 1/2" H. If you want any other measures or photos. Please ask. Condition issues: This chair needs a little bit of tender loving care. The arm joints just under where your hands would rest are loose. See the 5th and 6th photos. The vertical joint beneath the arm rests need to be glued. There is also a small piece of wood missing at the top of the vertical arm support. That is in the 5th photo. The front leg needs to be glued the to front seat rail too. This chair is very heavy and STURDY even with above mentioned joint issues. The seat cover needs to be done. The existing one is a needlepoint that has condition issues- HOLES to be exact. The seat back slat varnish is odd. It is not shiny at all. I cant describe it. You might be able to see it in the 4th photo. With proper love and repair as well as a new seat cover. This can be an unbelievable accent chair, desk chair or dining chair. Again. The underside is marked"IS INTERNATIONAL SILVER COMPANY 678" The bowl has a scalloped beveled rim and a nice polished shine. There are surface scratches on the front and back which is common for vintage pieces. Most noticeable are 2 dark rings to the center of the bottom of the bowl. Magnificent Antique Brass Chippendale Tray American/English c. 1780-1810 This is a unique. Elegant, one of a kind, period handmade tray using a handrolled sheet of brass. See pictures for details such as the hand hammered and rolled edges. Handles& rivets. Please note that the pictures contain shots of the front and back. I believe the tray is American due to the simplicity of the Chippendale design which is typically an American trait. English period pieces(trays. Silver, furniture, etc) tend to be much more elaborate than American period pieces. An American period Chippendale brass tray is extremely rare as most brass(along with other metalware) pieces were melted down during the Civil War. Antique Solid Mahogany Chippendale Style Low Dresser w/Arch Pediment Mirror
We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique mahogany dresser with matching mirror. The maker of this piece is unknown and we believe this dates to the late 1800's- early 1900's. The dresser stands approximately 36.5" high. The width is 21 5/8" and the length is 46" The mirror is made from solid mahogany and has a beautiful broken arch pediment at the top with an applied carved design in the center. It measures 35.5" high to the top of the pediment. The width is 24 7/8" across the ached top and th emain body is 23.75" wide. Made from solid mahogany the dresser has a classic Chippendale style design with applied carved moldings on the bracket feet and reeded columns on the front. The dresser has four drawers with a divider in the top drawer. The drawers are all dove tail jointed and also retain the original ... morebrass pulls. The dresser appears to have had an early refinish job done on it. There are age and use appropriate scratches and dings on the top and feet. As well as a small white spot on the top. There is a small crack on the top left edge. There are also what look like fingernail marks behind the pulls. All of the drawers are tight on this piece. This is a structurally solid dresser. A late18th to early 19th Century American Chippendale large chest of drawers. Possibly Southern in origin. Height- 43 5/8 inches Width- 43 inches Depth- 20 inches American Revolutionary to Federal Period large chest of drawers. Appropriate wear to the internal parts and rails consistent with the age. Original finish with wear. Replacement handles. The chest may have originally had single drop pulls and as there is a single hole space under the present handles. Mahogany or black cherry veneer over poplar or elm secondary woods. All woods are well desiccated. Appropriate to the suggested time period. Appears that all of the original wood is intact including secondary woods. Varied hand cut dovetails. Mortise and tenon interior. Original back panels. Hand chamfered throughout. Interesting progression of individual drawer height; top- 5 7/8 inches, ... moresecond- 6 7/8 inches, third- 7 7/8 and bottom- 8 7/8 inches. Top drawer face is beveled edged. American Pennsylvania Chippendale Walnut Lowboy over Trifid Feet After the original period works of Philadelphia and Chester County. Pennsylvania Probably crafted during the mid-to-late 19th Century Item# 130102YTP18 This is a simply gorgeous American Pennsylvania Chippendale(Style) Lowboy Antique Chest of Drawers crafted in solid walnut. While every detail is careful executed in the manner of the original works. We believe this piece was actually crafted nearly one-hundred years after the period during the mid-to-late 19th Century. It features a fine two board top, the majority being a single solid plank with only the last few inches at the back being crafted of a second joined board, the grain selected carefully and quite fine. The edge has a carved quarter-round molding of the solid, scalloping at each front corner, projecting generously ... moreover the chest. Three small drawers rest above the deeply serpentine apron, each joined front and back with fine scored dovetails, the bottom deeply chamfered and rabbeting into the sides, period Queen Anne hardware on each drawer face. The apron around the entire table is noteworthy: bold. Flowing, inspiring, the overall flow of the skirt gives incredible lift to the table. It gives robustness to the form, the lines active and dancing, the table looking poised for action. The three-scrolled form of the apron matches the trifid form of the foot, almost matching it's proportional flow. The legs are carved of a single solid piece of walnut from the table top to the foot, the sides of the table tenoned into the top of the leg and pegged symmetrically before curving in bold knees over fine cabriole form. This American Chippendale Lowboy is above reproach. A simply outstanding piece for a serious collector of benchmade works not concerned with the period of craftmanship. Size is 35" wide by 53" height by 15" depth. Two glass front doors with beautiful wood fretwork on fronts. The fretwork can be removed if you prefer a plain cabinet. But it would mean removing the glass and interior molding that holds it, in order to reach the fretwork. Left inside door has a latch at the top to secure it. There is a keyhole in the right door but I do not have a key. I have used this as a curio cabinet, with thee three shelves as shown, but it INCLUDES 13 SHELVES total. I believe this was probably a music/periodicals cabinet, but it can also be used as a bookcase or curio cabinet with less shelves. Shelves ... morehave unusual metal guides on sides(removable) to attach them, and shelves slide in. There are only 6 shelf guides included(enough for three shelves, shown) but I have misplaced the rest in a move(are somewhere in my home) If I come across them I will send them to you, but otherwise if they are not located, I am sure you can find some sort of shelf brackets if you want to use 13 shelves. The front of the cabinet has two Chippendale shaped legs(pretty! Color is deep mahogany, although I am not sure if this is made of mahogany, walnut or other wood etc. I do not know the age but this appears to be old/antique. Condition is good, sturdy and clean, no odors. Ready to go into your home. See photos for details. I am not sure if this is the original finish but I think it may have been restored. The three sections feature fretwork glass doors. Broken pediment top, and gadrooned edge trim. The original is on display at the Mills House in Charleston. 70" wide, 19.5" deep, and 91" tall. Nine glass shelves in the top section which allow for display or books. There are three lights on a dimmer switch in the top section. The bottom credenza section has one shelf on each side and the center section contains a silverware drawer. This impressive piece moves in two sections: the top separates from the bottom. Description: This listing is for an 18th Century American Chippendale Carved Ball and Claw Foot Drop Leaf Table. Pennsylvania, almost certainly from Philadelphia, circa 1770-90. Each board on this stunning table is fully solid single planks of Mahogany, each carefully selected for the best possible grains. They are hand planed to leave a flawless top surface, with an unfinished and uneven planed underside. The leaves hang from the table with hand crafted original hinges, uncommon with the pressure usually on these hinges, but a statement to the quality of craftsmanship in the piece. One hinge is a possible replacement. Still a period hand forged hinge, but of different dimension from the other three) The hinges are reinforced ... moreto allow originality and functionality at the same time. The top sits gracefully over its original frame. The frame has a most graceful form. With a flowing carved apron floating the front and back. The practical hand craftsmanship is obvious, where the cabinetmaker carved and finished the front of each apron, but left the back unfinished with evidence of chisel and knife throughout. Each corner is formed with a pegged tenon-mortise joint, while the frame- of primarily pine secondary woods- joins with dovetailed construction for a permanent build. The underside of the table is locked on to the top with original glued blocks. The frame sits over four cabriole legs, rolling with ease into the tendons and muscles tensed in grip. It has some of the most beautiful Philadelphia ball and claw carvings, with full details of the talons, stretched skin and sharpness of the grasping nails reaching around each perfectly formed ball. Small knicks and marks from the knife are still apparent where they carefully carved each foot. The piece boasts the most magnificent patina and depth of finish.
