Antique mahogany secretary desk. Guessing circa 1940s. Nice old piece of furniture. It does have a few features caused by moves, etc, There are probably some scratches on the piece, due to it's age. One of the Claw Carved Feet is totally disconnected from the piece- it is reparable, we just haven't done it as of this date, as you can position it underneath the piece and it is very sturdy. It has original brass hardware. It has a big mechanical lid or writing surface in good condition. The interior of the desk is serpentine shaped with 3 drawers, a doored compartment, and six other compartments. The secretary drawers have serpentine fronts, are all dovetailed and in good shape. A MUSEUM QUALITY EXAMPLE OF A CLASSIC 18TH CENTURY PHILADELPHIA CHIPPENDALE SIDE CHAIR. IT EXHIBITS THE RARE"THROUGH MORTISED" CONSTRUCTION ON THE BACK POSTS. This spoon measures 8 5/8" and is in excellent condition. It looks like it has never been used! All of my silverplate is lightly polished in order to inspect for any issues. Five legs salvaged from an old table perhaps…from a local auction… they could be yours today. Lots of possibilities. They look to be in original condition with a dark patina. Really nice carved design of what appears to be flowers and vines. Just unique. Four of the legs measure just about 35 ½” and have a curve about three quarters of the way down the leg. The other leg is about 27 ½” and looks like maybe the top was broken off at some point. Set of 8 Chippendale Style Dresser Handles
The solid brass pulls have 3 inch centers for mounting. They were made by the Keeler Brass Company. They are 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches tall. The screws that are included are 1 7/8 inches long and may have to be shortened for your application. They have not been used. However, they have minor wear due to their handling.

In liquidating the estate of this old gal there is a variety of things to dispose of. I am trying to mix things up and list a variety of items. Not just one thing- I'll get burned out approaching that way. Anyway. I found a number of silver and silverplate items. I hate to throw anything away as someone might be able to use these. They are from a variety of manufacturers, but have some very lovely patterns. I thought maybe someone out there who makes crafts or jewlery could use them, then again maybe they go great with the silver set you have.
