OMG. This little chest is so HEAVY for its' size! The solid wood construction really does make a difference in weight. Lovely. Well made 4 drawer nightstand or end table chest made by American Drew. It is constructed of heavy. Solid cherry or mahogany. Pretty batwing Chippendale brass pulls and brass escutchen keyholes(they are just decorative) There is a single brass bail handle on each side of the nightstand. There are 4 drawers that slide out for storage and all have dovetailed construction. There is a little metal tree on the right side that is a branding of American Drew. Drawers are nice and clean too. The piece is in very nice condition. Any wear is commensurate with age, it was well taken care of, not abused in any manner. The set is in great condition and would bring elegant and classy style to any decor. The stylish chairs have wide comfortable seats that each measure 18 inches across at the back. 21 inches across at the front, and 17-1/2 inches deep. Their overall height is 37 inches, with the seat height about 20 inches. The seats on the Chairs look quite new and I believe them to have been re-upholstery(I was unable to see who made them) Each chair is a solid and sturdy mahogany wood frame. They have a beautiful shine and if polished with Bee's Wax would even make the color look richer with a deep lustrous sheen over the stained rich wood. The ladder-back style was a very popular style from 1750 to 1790 during. The era of Thomas Chippendale. Occasionally some of the later ladder-back chairs reflected the prevailing Neo-Classic influence in the carved detail. After the middle of the 18th century this plainer type of open arm chair was commonly designed with straight quadrangular chamfered legs joined with a stretcher. It had little or no carved detail. Attractive and unblemished cream and black chinoiserie fabric covers the slip seat which sits on side aprons trimmed with rope molding. The legs are squared and one appears to have an old repair. This auction is for 14 pieces of antique dining room furniture, which includes 3 table leaves& 2 custom fitted glass tops. The style is Chippendale. The wood is mahogany. This set is from the early 1900's. It was purchased by the current owner in the early 1960's. There is a picture. Which will be included of the original owner) The furniture pieces are a breakfront. Which is dust proof that stands 80" tall(6' 8" It is 54" long and 13" by 11 1/2" on the top and the bottom measures 14 1/2" by 11 1/2" As you can see by the pictures. The first drawer doubles as a writing desk that can be locked. Although there are no keys available. The drawers are dovetailed. The drawer pulls are brass with a fruit theme. All pulls are in very good antique condition. The drawer pulls are the same on the china ... morecloset& the buffet. There is a bit of fading on the right side of the bottom compartments. The owner said that just a bit of lemon oil helps them darken up. The glass on the doors is laid into the wood cut outs. This item weighes about 300 pounds per the owner. The buffet measures 62 1/2" long. It is 36" tall and the depth. On the sides 18" deep in the center 18" deep. The 2 side drawers are lined and segmented for your silver. There is a piece of glass. That was made to sit on the top of this lovely item. This item was also fashioned to be dust proof. Now to the table. It is 66 1/4" long. Without the leaves& 44 1/4" wide and stands 2' 6" Including the depth of the glass. The table is in very good pre-owned condition. There is a piece of cut glass to fit on top. FINE ANTIQUE WALNUT PEGGED CONSTRUCTION PHILADELPHIA CHIPPENDALE STYLE LOWBOY ON BALL& CLAW FEET Size: 34" wide. 29" high, 21" deep. Appears to be walnut and yellow pine. Approx 1840's-1860's is my best guess. Wonderful piece with a unique, deeply carved central medallion over a shell form drop. Shell carved knees to go with the finely formed ball and claw feet. All knee returns present, small drawer front molding missing over the front right drawer as seen. Some minor trim moldings missing. Hand chamfered drawers, square or rose head nails, hand pegged form, beveled molding edge, hand cut dovetails, fluted pilasters and a great mellow surface make this a very handsome piece of American furniture. Being offered for sale is this spectacular Antique Chippendale Mahogany Tall chest with ball& claw feet circa 1900. This fine antique chest offers 2 smaller drawers over 6 larger ones with each having their original Chippendale brass pulls and brass key escutcheons. Dove-tailed ends and all the locks are intact in the drawers but we do not have the key. This chest measures 56 inches in height.36 1/2 inches wide and 20 inches deep and weighs approximately 100 lbs. We believe this chest to have its original finish and features a beautiful gadrooned edge above dental block style molding with the chest raised up on four large ball and claw feet. This chest offers a tremendous amount of storage possibilities with classic and timeless style and is very solid and quality made and ready to take its place in your home. Antique Chippendale Dresser / Server
This is a wonderful antique Chippendale dresser or server from 1810-30. It is made of mahogany and mahogany veneers. The piece has four graduated drawers with banded framing and bracket feet. The brass hardware is very old. But probably not original to the piece. There were a few issues with veneer on the edges of the drawers and the drawer framed, which we had repaired by a professional period furniture restorer. There are also a few old scratches to the top which have been repaired. Otherwise, the piece is in excellent condition. As you can see from the pictures. it has a fantastic look. Nice vintage piece of International Silver Com pany silverplate oval shaped serving bowl. The bowl is 12 inches long. 10 inches wide and 2 inches deep. The marking on the back of the piece read: Chippendale International S ilver Com pany 6385. There is no damage to the bowl with the exception of a couple of scratches on the insid e bo ttom of the bowl. It is a used piece. I do believe this scratch was caused by poor storage. It has been lightly cleaned. I leave the deep cleaning to the buyer's preference.

1920'S MAHOGANY DINING SET WITH SET OF SIX SOLID MAHOGANY CHIPPENDALE RIBBON BACK CHAIRS For sale is this nice 1920's mahogany dining room table with outside legs and set of six solid mahogany Chippendale styled Ribbon back chairs consisting of two arm chairs and four side chairs. We got this is exactly like this. The set of chairs consists of two carved ribbon back arm chairs which were added to the other four side chairs. The arm chairs. Like the side chairs, are all a notably very high quality solid mahogany chair. The arm chairs are slightly darker with carved rosettes accenting the ribbon back splats. We can and will tone the four side chairs so they are an exact color match. Items are coming in at a very fast pace and we are trying to stay ahead of the listing work. They are all uplostered in the same fabric which without question ... moreall needs new fabric but this is a fairly simply job. Each chair has a curved form seat and brass tacts that accent them. The table is very clean and has outside bolt on legs which allows the table to be knocked down for easy shipping. We have a leave for this somewhere and we hope we can locate it but for the sakes of this listing we are selling it without the leave. We will do our very best to locate the leave. This is a wonderful mahogany cedar-lined blanket chest that is in the shape of a Philadelphia lowboy. Made by the Lane Furniture Company ... moreof Alta Vista, Virginia, back in the 1940s. It’s all embossed inside with the Lane logo and all the many patents applied for, and it says the interior has been pressure tested for aroma, and also has a tightener to adjust the vapor smell. The lock has been disabled for safety purposes, but I understand that you can obtain a new one by calling Lane and giving them the serial number of this piece. The overall condition is nice, and it has been re-sprayed on top to remove the nicks and dings. It’s finished in a dark reddish-brown mahogany stain finish, and has ball and claw Chippendale carved feet all around the simulated four-drawer raised panel front with a center clamshell carving. On the inside of the chest, when you open it, you can see where the cedar has split a bit, which is no big deal. When the wide beveled edge top is down, the chest measures 45 inches wide, 20 inches deep, and 33 inches high.
