Probably c. 1880-1910, France Item# 120012WIU03 This ... moreis a remarkable and precise work. A heavily and tastefully carved Louis XV Wingback Antique Arm Chair of the Rococo Revival period. This is a piece that was built to last with strong and heavy construction throughout. The crest is an ornate and complicated carving of flowing ribbon tied in a double-bow and interlaced with flowers that sprout over and along the frame, likewise carved carefully with a large twisted rope molding lined by a small twisted rope border. The arms flow down into curved handholds, the arm supports terminating in the frame with acanthus leaves sprouting up along the edges. These arms flank a deep and very comfortable down upholstered cushion, thick and very supportive, complimenting the overall cant of the chair- by leaning just slightly backwards. This is a simply wonderful chair to rest and lounge in. The apron is an intense display of flowers along a vine, acanthus leaves sprouting from beneath the cushion to peak out over the edge. The chair rests over cabriole front legs with intense multi-dimension floral carvings along the knees, flowing into scrolled french toes. This is a simply gorgeous french arm chair for anyone passionate about the Louis XV design! Impeccably carved throughout the entire frame. Constructed with a strength and sturdiness to the build that is atypical of this design, and ultimately very comfortable and enjoyable to lounge in, this is the perfect selection for your living room or sitting area. Vintage 50's Swivel Vanity Chair- bolts off restoration. Swivel seat with Height Adjustment. The original gold tone brass on steel had major wear to the finish and the original pink vinyl seat had been painted red then covered in electrical tape then covered in a 70s vinyl print that had faded. The cushion had turned to mixture of dust and talcum powder. The frame has been scoured sealed and refinished a matt brass-gold. The seat cushion has been replaced and covered in the off white West Elm Ruffle Circle fabric(Euro Sham. The result is a tasteful yet feminine take on Paris style ruffle chic with a hollywood flair. I sanded and resealed the wood seat and replaced the frame bolts. Chair will be shipped with base unscrewed(easy to connect and spin) and cushion covered in plastic wrap. Nice looking 47.7" tall High Back castle chair pair in fairly good ALL ORIGINAL condition. The seat height is 18" from the floor. I am not sure of the wood type but it is complete. Sittable and strong. No deep scratches or anything a good polishing would not fix. These have not been refurbished and are as found in the estate. They are very usable but have a little wobble in the legs, easily tightened with a rubber mallet and wood glue. The velvet is complete and without rips or scratches. Set of 4 Vintage Mid-Century Table/ Chair/ Sofa Legs– Black w/ Brass Tips– 8” Up for bid is this set of vintage legs/ feet for a vintage furniture restoration project! The legs measure 8” tall. They measure 2” in diameter at the top and about 1” at the bottom. The tips are a gold-colored metal. Which I think might be brass, and they havea stopper on the bottom. The top portion appears to be a wood of some kind and is painted black. There are screw portions at the top to fasten them to the furniture in question! This is a neat vintage set. But it does show some wear. For example, the metal does show a fair amount of scuffing. Also, the black portions of the legs show scuffing, some nicking/ light denting, as well as a few spots here and there of splattered paint. One last thing to note is that the brass portions can be“turned. However, the ... morelegs are in solid shape and could be restored nicely! We are pleased to offer this very beautiful and unique. Antique to older vintage, bench. The bench features a fabric wrapped, wooden seat mounted upon double, metal leg base. The bases are very interesting. Each side features a four legged design. The legs are very curved in semi-circle fashion and the hyperextend the bench at each end. They are a copper colored, hollowed metal and are paired with brass colored, ball and stick accents. There is an embossed, floral medallion/plate attached at the mid point of the bases both on the outside and inner profiles. The legs are a copper color while the feet and the ball accents are in a brass"washed" finish for contrast. The bench seat appears to a heavy plywood. The fabric has a tasseled trim of black and gold. The bench is not marked. It is in very good condition with some expected signs of age. The metal legs/feet do have some patina and some oxidized spots. These are not severe nor distracting. The fabric looks fairly new and the bench appears to have been recently reupholstered. The bench is solid and sturdy. But it is not heavy as the metal is hollowed. The legs do have some give to them so this is more of a decorative piece versus a functional piece. It is exceptionally beautiful and it is very interesting. It combines elements of Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Would be fabulous in an entryway, hall or at the foot of a bed.
