Doll chair brass and red velvet
Vintage doll chair constructed of brass and red velvet. Chair is heavy and would look fabulous with a antique jumeau doll sitting in it. I am not sure exactly how old the chair is but it does has some minor wear. Please see photos) The velvet is free of stains but does have some subtle wear spots. One brass rod is separated from the base. In order to capture this rod separation I had to move the rods apart. This problem is not structural and is not detected when one is looking at the chair. The velvet cushions can be unscrewed. So if you do not like red you could easily re-cover the back and seat. The chair is approximately 16 inches tall, 8 inches wide and 6 inches deep. They each weigh 7 lb. 6 oz. and were originally manufactured as a casting, with the dimensions being 7 1/4" h x 4 7/8" wide, x 5 3/8" deep. Each wheel measures 1 1/8" in diameter. These are the short stem variety. One of the stems is flattened a little which created an edge on the end that has kept the original washer on, see photos. They have a metal spike under the plastic covering piece that fits up into the piece of furniture.
