Very nice high quality reclining set with ottomans. great color. the bases appear to be teak, although they may be birch wood, which is typical of Ekornes made in 1993 with a teak type finish. It measure 36" tall from the floor to the top back of the chair. The seat is about 15x16" It is in good antique condition. This has chips in the paint. It has minor scuffs and nicks along the edge of the vinyl. This was purchased from an old building that was a hotel at the Turn of the Century. This chair was used in various restaurants and the ball room of the hotel. I have several available and will sell in singles or pairs. It has the Howell London England Button on the shaft. There is also a band that reads” AL JOLSON– From Syria Lunch Club- December 1925. It has a bentwood handle and a horn tip. The cane is 36” tall and in good shape. It does have some minor wear and scratches from years of use. It is very solid. Al Jolson- At the peak of his career. He was dubbed"The World's Greatest Entertainer" In the 1930s, he was America's most famous and highest-paid entertainer. Between 1911 and 1928, Jolson had nine sell-out Winter Garden shows in a row, more than 80 hit records, and 16 national and international tours. Early 1900's bentwood bucket with cover and handle
This bentwood bucket is made of white oak and pine. The overall dimensions are 10 3/4" by 5 1/2" It has two wooden presses? inside. We are not sure what they are for. The overall condition appears to be good with expected patina from aging. There are no visible cracks. The wire handle and mountings have some surface rust. There are no makers marks on this piece. The FRONT, BOTTOM& BACK is made from one piece of wood. The TOP and the BACK SIDE up to the Leather Hinge is made from one piece of wood. The two side panels are separate pieces of wood. There is a 1 1/4" high leather strip across the back that acts as a hinge when the top is open. There are copper rivets-nails that attach the two leather back pack strips on the back side. This is an exceptional and lovely antique child's chair. This chair was purchased at an English Estate Auction in Barbados. West Indies in 1964. This is the child size version of the Classic THONET bentwood café chair. Gersuan an Austrian Cabinet maker began making furniture out of bent wooden slats in 1830's. It has a black lacquer finish with gold detailing on it. The chair has THONET stamped into the wood on the bottom. Chair has original square headed bolts from that period. Measures Height- 2 1/2" Width- 12 1/2" Diameter- 12 1/2" This is a special child's chair and can be used to display a doll or teddy bear. As we have used it as a work of art.

Vintage Bentwood Antique Solid Oak Kohn Mundus Thonet Art Deco Chair Poland
This is a very cool chair. The Following description is information I was able to find through my research on this piece. I don't personally know much about this type of chair. So I can only go by what I discovered during my research. Please look closely for yourself and make your own determination if the information is accurate. Up for auction we have an Ice Cream Parlor. Soda Shop, Bistro Style 1900-1950 Kohn& Mundus style Art Deco Bentwood Thonet style chair with a round super embossed hand carved seat. I believe it dates closer to the circa 1925 era. The chair has a 34" tall back rest and 18" tall seating area with a 14 1/2" diameter seat. When pushed against the wall it measures 17" deep from the wall to the front of the seat. The seat has an interesting carved lines and swirls pattern. The underside of the ... moreseat rim has a stamp into the wood that I believe says Made in Poland. It's difficult to make out. The back rest has the typical bentwood chair design which extends down the rear legs and is attached to the underside of the chair with old square head bolts. The back features triple turned spindle or pin back supports. The legs have that beautifully shaped bentwood look. I am not sure if this is the original color of the chair. Which has heavy wear to the finish. There is some sporadic paint speckles and spots here and there on the chair. The chair came out of an art studio, which explains the paint. I'm sure if you wanted to clean it up and bring it back to original condition, it would clean right up with minimal effort. The chair is very solid and sturdy with no loose joints or screws. This Vintage Bentwood Rocking Cane Back Chair is in good vintage shape. The chair does need to be refinished however the cane back and seat are in great condition. There is a small piece chipped out of the front top back(see picture) Also looks like someone tried to fix a crack on bottom the piece that connects bottom rockers(see picture) Some hardware is oxidized. You are bidding on a very rare Jacob and Josef Kohn Bentwood child's café/ parlor chair. Based on the makings and labels on the chair this was made prior sometime prior to 1914 in the Wsetin factory in Moravia. Vienna, Austria which J& J built in 1869. Item's made in this factory are very hard to come by. J& J Kohn were contemporary's and the major competitor of Thonet in the late 1800's. J& J Kohn employed many of the famous architects and designers of the era including Otto Wagner. Josef Hoffman, Koloman Moser, Hans Prutscher, and Gustav Siegel. This childs bentwood chair is in need of restoring. It is solid and the only splitting I see is on the"back" circle in the back and it is shown it one of the pictures. Very nice quality pair of modern Bentwood Chairs for sale. Recently reupholstered with premium select fabric caramel patterned Chenille. A cane seat was perhaps original to these chairs and later replaced by former owner with not very nice vinyl. I replaced the vinyl with the current fabric inspired by a 1920's modern pattern. Never used since new upholstering. The original seating was probably cane. For sale is this artist made teak wood table. So beautifully created with a"tree trunk" base that seems to grow into four branches. A difficult bent wood process to create this illusion. Lovely. Yet simplistic. Top has ink stains with use over the years, which I think adds to its cool look, but you decide. I believe this was made in the 1970's but I am not certain. This is an Original Civil War Period Camp Chair with bentwood Arms. This style of chair was very popular with officers and can be seen in countless photos taken of officers in camp during the war. This particular chair has been restored to a useable condition and has a new carpet style seat. I have sat on this many times and I weigh 190 lbs. It holds me with no effort. But I don't know it's weigh limits beyond me. It folds compactly as you can see in photo two and is ready either for display or a re-enactor camp. SINGER 12K FIDDLE BASE SEWING MACHINE BENTWOOD CASE late 1800s
Lovely 12k singer sewing machine dating from the late 1800's there are 2 lines of numbers behind the bobbin which I presume must be the serial number: top line 8475629 bottom line 2095329 I have tried to pinpoint the exact year of manufacture; As the Singer serial number webpage doesn't specify which line to check I checked both lines. So it's either from year 1871 or 1876. Included is the lovely bentwood case that usually is long gone! You can see from pic.10 that one of the lid eyelets is missing. In pic.11& 12 bottom right hand side there is a small 3cm gap of wood that has sheared off. This isn't the actual corner of the case. It's where the side panel meets the front panel. In pic.9 you can see that one of the flywheel teeth has sheared/come off, it doesn't stop it from properly locking into place& s pinning ... morethe crank! if wished for however. Original crank handles do pop up on e-bay! Both balance wheel& needle head work& turn over properly. The nut the tightens the handle the flywheel is a newer kind. sewing bullet& bobbins are not present included. it will need a better clean/oil should you wish to use it properly! I try and cover all points in my listings. However please contact me should you need any other questions!
