Here is a beautiful Art Nouveau bentwood side chair from 1900. It is surely Austrian. Made by either Thonet or J.J. Kohn(unmarked) This is one of the nicest Jugendstil bentwood designs I've seen with dramatic whiplash on back splat. The only markings are the number 29 that appears on the inside where the legs are bolted together. Original caning is in excellent condition. Chair is in nice original condition with good finish and solid joints. One rear spliced joint to stretcher has come apart but can be fixed with glue and clamps. Dimensions. Welcome to my Sunny FLA Auctions! Antique German China head doll with her antq German parlor set.This is an AMAZING antique German miniature doll size Parlor Set. The detail in this is awesome! It is made of bentwood and velvet. The table measures appx 6 1/2 X 5 X 5 in the top has an oilcloth covering with a painted flower bouguet in the center that looks like needlework. The chairs are strawstuffed velvet and wood with white scrolled bentwood and tiny glass beads on top of each chair. This set is marked Germany on bottom( table not quite level) This comes with a 12 in tall antique German head china doll. She has a sawdust stuffed body, orig bisque hands and feet with brown heeled shoes, painted moulded shoulder head with rosey cheeks, small chip on bottom of shoulder plate, and wearing her original antq print cotton dress with lace trims ... moreand u\ecru underskirt and pantaloons. Beautiful Singer 1980's Replica Toy Sewing machine with bentwood case. Clamp, edge guide and screw. This is a copy of a machine made in 1920's and was made in Turkey. It is quite rare as it was only made for one year. So I was told) It appears that it was never sewed with although it has a chrome chip on the edge of the sewing bed. 3 small chips on the clamp and the case has a couple of tiny edge rubs. Bentwood Box of Unknown Use Primitive Oval Wood Tiny Hinge Door Ballot? Firkin? This is a primitive bentwood box of unknow use. This oval shaped box measures 3" tall x 5 1/8" x 5 3/4" The top has a small door on nail hinges. It appears there was once a knob on the door to pull open. The door will open now by pulling the edge up. This unique box has an unusual shape with the base end being larger then the top. If you look closely you can see the sides of the box are scored with verticle cuts(done in fabrication so as to bend the wood in small oval shape. There is some kind of flexible brown trim in three rows all around the box which is held in with nails. The box seems to be used to hold small objects as anything big would be very hard to remove. Lovely Vintage Singer 99 Hand Crank Sewing Machine in Bentwood Case. 1931 Clydebank Lovely Vintage Singer 99 Sewing Machine in Bentwood Case with turned wooden handle. Said to be the Rolls Royce of Singer Sewing Machines. Lighter and therefore more portable than its cousin the 201 Series. Built to last with minimal things to go wrong. Simple to operate and easy to get spares for them. Serial# Y8442327. Made in 1931 in Clydebank. Scotland. he Singer 99K sewing machine was introduced in 1911 as a response to the growing demand for a lighter more portable domestic sewing machine that did not need to be used in a special table. The 99K was a ¾ size version of the established full size Model 66K. It used an identical mechanism and many of the same parts other than the basic body casting. The 99K stayed in production until 1962. The Singer ... more99K was a sturdy and reliable machine that was easy to use. It became very popular with occasional home users because at 22lbs. it was more manageable than‘full size’ machines and it came in a storage case. In 1921 the company introduced the option of a Singer electic motor making the 99K the first portable electric machine. The 99K will sew most fabrics from fine delicates to denim or leather and will handle any normal household sewing task with ease. The machines have adjustable tension and stitch length controls. The 99K must always be mounted in some form of base because the underbed mechanism will not allow it to sit directly onto a table surface. Early Singer 99K’s were sold in wooden bases with a small compartment under the balance wheel to store accessories and bobbins etc. At first they had‘Bentwood’ polished plywood) covers which are now thought of as very desirable. For auction is an antique Singer sewing machine model 128 serial number G7626115 with bentwood case and its original key. The Singer 128 which was made in December 24. 1919 is a"bullet proof" heavy duty model, it has been made out of cast iron, all steel construction. It has a gorgeous La Vencedora decals. The scroll face-plate is beautiful I haven't seen like this one with this serial number. I have been looking on the web for weeks; T his is an antique Singer from 1919 and it was in lot of work but it still working. It may need little attention, some cosmetic work, like new wiring, new pedal, some cleaning and it will be absolutely gorgeous; nothing was done to its vintage condition. NO restoration. It sews heavy denim, canvas, many ... morelayers of fabric and leather. The singer 128 is one of the earliest antique most desirable Singer's sewing machines by collectors. H ighly reliable full-size. Heavy-duty and powerful machine. These machines last for ever! The bentwood case is in great condition with beautiful relief although it has little peeling, nothing major. This is an original Singer Bentwood wood case for the large size Singer's: 201. 15, 66 The varnish is flaking off and some minor scratches which would require minimal sanding. The scratches shown are not very deep. I have restored/refinished many of these cases and they come out absolutely gorgeous! Not very hard to do at all. This case features the hand cut outs on the bottom of the base as shown in the second photo. Not all of the bentwood cases have these. It sure makes moving the case with a machine in it safer and easier. The hardware& hinges are all in excellent condition. Includes the black side compartment cover and the oil can holder in the top of the case. There is no key but I will include a screwdriver that opens the case easily. Charlie Chaplin flics, old westerns. Also look like the Kimo Theatre in Albuquerque(Vivian Vance show) These were purchased in a used furniture store on Western Ave. in Hollywood in 1964. Been in one family since then. These were built on the small side- people were smaller then. The chair seats are 17" off the floor(including scratch-guards) Top of the backs are at 32" The maximum width is 18" Max. depth is 20.5" Right after purchase these were stripped. Re-glued, stained, waxed. Plastic scratch guards were added to the feet. The wood is in great shape, though 3 of the chairs currently need their leg supports re-glued. Lovely Vintage Singer Sewing machine 15k80 in Bentwood Case. 1953 Kilbowie. Scotland This is in very nice condition, running very smoothly. Bright‘RAF’ decals, hardly rubbed and shiny chrome. Only comes with the accessories shown in picture but others can be purchased quite easily online. Comes with an extending table/shelf although this is probably not original to the machine. Does not have the original key but does have a small screwdriver with it that open the case just like the key would. Only those accessories like the instruction booklet, bobbins etc shown in the picture come with this machine but other items are available on the internet. The Singer Company first started production of its oscillating shuttle, high arm Improved Family machine in 1879. It was designed for domestic and light industrial sewing and came mainly fitted into ... moretreadle tables or cabinets, with just a few supplied as hand crank machines. Some of the earliest models had a fiddle shaped base. In 1895 the Improved Family machine was mechanically altered and the appearance changed, and so the Singer 15 was born. It was to be the most successful sewing machine design ever, remaining in production for over 100 years, although it did undergo several improvements during that time. The original Singer 15’s, like all the other early domestic Singer machines came as the usual treadle or cabinet versions or as a hand crank model. Later models were either electric or hand crank machines. A particularly notable feature of the model 15 was the location of the tension assembly. I have been completely unable to identify the maker and the only similar match I can find is from 1stdibs where it is going by the name"Vintage American Woodworker rocking chair" sold) From the looks of it. I would guess it was made in the 1960's or 1970's. The fabric is leather. The molded wood frame is ply with solid armrests. One of the things I find most interesting about this chair, other than the absolutely unusual frame design, is the narrow width. The back is only 16 1/2" across. I am not a small man, yet it fits me just fine. The width gives it a very ... morespecial look. I think this rocker would fit perfect in a Danish modern environment of black leather and teak(not unlike my own) Finding a cool modern rocker for a wood heavy modern room is not as easy as it sounds. I know from personal experience. This chair is super cool and would look great in any setting. VTG Bentwood Wicker Rattan Cane Rocking Chair, Thonet Style.
Auction is for a vintage bentwood cane. Wicker rattan Thonet style rocking chair. This is for an average sized adult. I'm sorry but I have no idea what the date of chair is or the maker. Chair was quite dirty when I purchased it from an estate sale, I had intended on using myself but decided I didn't have the room for it after all. The rattan is in great shape with no holes but the(cane) wood has scratches especially at the front. I noticed one screw is missing. Seems to rock with no problems. Sturdy chair, weighs about 20 lbs. I had planned on refinishing but decided I'd let the new owner do it. I don't think it will take much to return it to a show piece. Would look wonderful in a nursery or in any room with dark colored furniture. Could also be painted to fit in with a more modern type of look.
