The chair has widespread legs similar to a Windsor style chair. The Kohn company was a contemporary competitor of Thonet. This chair measures app. 26" high by 18" by 18" All measurements are taken at the widest point. It is made of oak and I believe it has the original caning or a early replacement. This chair has an old repair on the right front leg. It is sturdy and not very noticeable and from the day when things were fixed and not so easily discarded. There are a few little scrapes from use and age too. Vintage 1965 Thonet Style Bentwood Rocker, owned by 1 Family-Pick up Only
This is a Vintage Thonet Style Bentwood Rocker with original cane back and seat. I purchased new in 1965 in Birmingham. Mich. furniture store. Chair has been with me ever since. Extremely comfortable. Measurements floor to top of back = 39" seat depth =17 1/2" seat width = 17 1/2" from front curve to end of rocker = 41" This type of chair was first created in England during the Victorian Era. Has been popular ever since. Seems to go with all styles of decor. During the 1960's, this Bentwood Rocker was considered a Modern piece and was extremely popular. Originally this chair was stained walnut with natural rattan seat and back. About 5 years ago I thought it would look great in black. So I spray painted the chair. Including the rattan, a charcoal black. Then I used very fine sand paper and sanded about 10 small areas ... moreto give the chair a whole new look. I still love the chair. It is in great condition. Offere d for sale is a nice solid Pressed Back Oak Bentwood Arm Chair circa 1900. The back features pressed oak leaves and ribbon with small beading. Seven turned spindles run down the back of the chair. Wide bentwood oak arms flank each side of the seat. The seat was originally cane but has been replaced with a black foux leather surrounded by brass tacks. This is a large solid sturdy chair with no apologies other than normal signs of use commensurate age. The chair has been refinished and is ready to add a warm touch of the past to any home or office. There is no knee bar but im sure it can be found here on ebay. I plugged the machine in and slid lever over under black cover to test and the machine works great as does the light. Primitive Vintage Marshall Field's Gourmet Bentwood Cheese Style Box Chicago We just got back from a wonderful vacation out to Wyoming and South Dakota. Stayed at a fabulous B&B in South Dakota- made even more heaven by the fact that they also had an antique store on the property. I shopped in several other locations in both states and brought home some great primitives. Advertising, pottery, and all in all interesting finds. Before I left, I went to a new farm auction, and an estate auction- so I have a BUNCH of new items this week- I’ll be posting every day, so be sure to check back! Many of us native to Illinois. And Chicago, are still bemoaning the loss of our Marshall Field's- now turned into the M word. My great grandmother worked in the Millinery department, and I frequently run into people whose relatives worked downtown ... moretoo. Field's items are getting harder and harder to find as time goes on, so I was thrilled to grab this beauty when I saw it. It's a circular bentwood box, cheesbox in shape and style although I'm guessing it held more than cheese in the day. The top of the box reads, Marshall Field's Gourmet, in brown, and has a basket filled with what looks like veggies, wine, bread and cheese in the center. The box measures 11 1/2" diameter and stands 3 1/2" tall to the top of the lid. It weighs 2 lbs. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition, with rustic wear- you can see the top has a crack down the middle along with other thinner cracks- you cannot see through to the other side, it's just to the wood under the crack, although you can see similar cracks on the inside of the lid too(also, not all the way through) This is an intentionally rustic box- rough to the touch on top- not sanded smooth, with rough edges that you see when you look close- see photo 6, it's all original. There's scratches, nicks, small chips and scrapes that all add to the charm. The hardware is rusty at the heads, and the wood darkening to black around them. It shows some d

This is an electric singer sewing machine, housed in what I believe to be a Mahogany wood carrying case. All appears to be original, with the exception of the key. The key is labeled Honda, but it does work the locking mechanism. Description: Lovely. Rare, late 19th century J&J Kohn Bentwood oak child's chair with cane seat and back. In excellent condition with original finish and deep whiskey patina. Gorgeous curling on the armrests. Made at the original Vsetín. Austria workshop. Will seat up to about 7 years old. J&J Kohn was founded in 1850 and became a principal rival to the Thonet company. Known for their chairs. Particularly their rocking chairs, Kohn continued production until 1914, when it was merged into Mundus AG. Dimensions: 37"H x 14" diameter round seat. Seat is 22" from floor. It is very clean. And I haven't even wiped it off. Everything turns freely. The belt is in good condition. I know nothing about sewing machines so look at the pics very good. This is a smaller size. The sewing machine itself is only 10 inches long. THE BAD! There is no power cord with it. I made a key so I could open it. I'll include it. WOW! It is fairly heavy!

It measures 26 inches in height. 13 3/4 inches in width at the widest point of the chair back, the seat measures 12 3/4" in dia. and 12 3/4" seat height. This chair is in good condition with normal scrapes and nicks from a piece of furniture that is more than 100 years old and that was used by children. Singer Bentwood Case Bottom Only held a singer 128 with hinges and screws
This is the bottom of a Singer Bent Wood Case. It has a hole drilled which held a knee lever. This bottom held a singer 128 It is physically solid but as you can see there is some wear. I'm not sure what the stuff is that shows up black in the pictures but it doesn't look as bad in real life as it does in the photos Total dimensions 2" deep 17.25" long 8.25" wide Sewing machine well 6 5/8" wide 12.25" long 2" deep Included are the hinges and the screws that fit the 128 to hold it to the hinges I'm parting out this case so if you need anything please write with questions Thanks for looking

Fine Vtg Carved Cedar Polychrome Northwest Coast Style Jean Ferrier Bentwood Box
Up for auction is a fine Fine Vintage Northwest Coast Indian Style Bentwood Box. It was carved by Brier. Washington artist Jean Ferrier. It is a beautiful piece. She is a very talented artist, This is an old piece which is hand signed and dated 1980. Amazing detail and done in the tradition style. It measures 7 3/4" tall x 7 1/2" wide x 7 1/2" deep. The chisel marks on top add great texture. It is fresh out of a fine old estate!

1921 Singer 128 Sewing Machine w/ Bentwood Cover, Motor, Pedal, Light, Access.
Up for auction is a very nice. Vintage Singer 128 Sewing Machine with bentwood cover, motor, pedal, light, manual, and accessories. The decals on this machine are very nice and bright, with very little wear. The machine itself appears to be in very good condition. The motor runs but has a few scratches on it(see photos) The cord is intact which goes to the pedal and light. The light and pedal operate well. The machine runs slow and could probably use a little oiling and cleaning. I did not try to run it hard. I have given it a light cleaning and I can imagine how nice it would look if really gone through. The bentwood cover has some issues with a couple of puncture holes, scratches, and a crack on the base near the point where the anchor/hinge bolt attaches. There is also some separation on one end of the cover. A little glue will take care ... moreof this. I try to give as accurate a description as possible. But when all is said and done, this is a very unique looking machine and would look great as a conversation piece or used for what it was intended. The photos are an accurate representative of what the machine is actually like. Sorry, no returns on this heavy piece(about 36 pounds) Good luck

It is a fantastically designed stool for fitting the customer in a pair of new shoes. I call it a stool. But it actually has no place for the salesman to sit as most foot props do, so I guess the salesman would use this in conjunction with a chair. The design, which I consider art deco, is incredibly unique consisting of bent laminated wood topped by a heavy rubber foot rest. There are no markings on this piece, but in my 45 years of poking around, I have only seen one other, and it was marked Thonet. It was exactly the same as this one in every way, so I am confident this too was made by the company famous for Bentwood. Set is strong with no breaks or repairs. Table top shows signs of previous enjoyment. But could easily be refinished. Bottom of legs are scuffed by normal use. Solid maple stamped on underside of table. Along with remnants of the original label. Vintage Swiss trunk. With unique bentwood rails and shape. Its ornamental hardware and wood wrap around a tin/metal surface. Rich in character, and almost a century old, this piece reflects a bye gone era of quality and craftsmanship. Mahogany stain applied to rails. Gloss black accents. Top tin has been sanded to its original tin, but left just rough enough to show its character.Gloss polyaerathane protecting the whole piece. Leather handles. Vintage 1923 Singer Model 128 Sewing Machine w/ Bentwood Case! Nice!
This auction is for a vintage Singer Sewing Machine. The Serial number is G0160939. According to the Singer Website. Its a 1923 model 128. Its in fair condition with its fair share of chipped paint, scuffs and scratches and messed up decals. Please see the photos. It turns fine though it could probably use a good cleaning and a tune up. I don't think I could ever talk my wife into using it. The motor runs however the belt is missing so it is running with no tension on it so can't really test it beyond that. The case is solid though I do not have the key so can't lock it. It could certainly benefit from a good sprucing up and rehabbing. Don't miss out on a great deal. This is a pine wood replacement full sized bentwood case for Singer Models 15. 27, 66, 127, and 201. It will also fit Japanese copies of the 15 such as the HA/JA class. The case has black walnut stain with satin hand-rubbed polyurethane finish. Inside of case and cover is painted. Indentations are carved into the sides of the base for safer/easier carrying of your machine. A machine installed in this case could easily weigh 40 lbs. Carrying your machine with your hands on the sides of the base is much easier on your back(and prevents mishaps from the cover handle or latches failing/coming loose. Also. The machine is wide enough to accomodate an installed handcrank mechanism. This is the best reproduction case that you will fine for $100 or less.
